STAY AWAY from this company! They are super unprofessional, extremely rude and had me have to cancel my holiday the day before I was meant to travel.

I booked a ticket from London-Nicaragua with this company 2.5 months before I was due to travel. I paid with my credit card twice, as the first time the payment did not go through. The second time I did not get any error message, but I did receive an email from the travel agency with a booking acknowledgment with a booking reference for the stated flight, and the total cost. It is stated that the invoice will be sent in a separate email. When I tried to check in to my flight using this reference number, it did not go through. I contacted Air travel experts and they very rudely told me that my booking had been cancelled as the payment never went through, that it was all my fault for waiting 2 months to ask this question. They were shouting at me for being stupid for interpreting the booking acknowledgement and the booking reference to be the confirmation (which is normal for other travel agencies). I tried to explain to them that at no point had I received a message on the screen or by email saying that the payment had not gone through and that the booking was cancelled. They (the manager who I was speaking to) said I was lying and that they would never pick up from my number again. Then he hung up on me. Overall, as a frequent traveller, this is the worst experience I have ever had. These guys are clearly unprofessional and have no idea what it involves to run a travel agency. They are absolutely useless and I will NEVER EVER use them again. I hope no one else will too.

After having read previous reviews I had become slightly concerned, however my experience with ATE was very good. I booked my flight from Manchester to Manila on 21/11/17 as it was around £100 cheaper than any other rival. I received booking confirmation within minutes although I did not receive e ticket straight away it was quite late at night when I made the booking though. The next day, because of certain reviews I had read, I called ATE who answered the phone straight away and was advised my E-Ticket would arrive within 24 hours, which it did. I then confirmed with airline itself and all is in order. I imagine some of these bad reviews are no doubt eggagerated if not totally fabricated. Some people need to accept when looking for cheapest possible deals they may use slightly smaller companies which take a little longer to process bookings etc. Perhaps people should just pay full price and book direct with airlines if their wanting instant confirmation.

Whilst the initial price of our airfares was very competitive, we subsequently experienced difficulties contacting ATE . Agents were dismissive, placed calls on endless hold and sometimes the call was just not answered - they're clearly very busy. Since we had an urgent need for e-tickets to be issued, we contacted ATE's sister company Holiday Mood and spoke to a gentleman in Customer Services called Vince, who resolved all outstanding issues within 2 hours. What a difference ! This guy is clearly aiming to help customers is and prepared to take ownership of problems. Very well done, Vince - you're a credit to your employers !

I booked and paid for return flight to Tokyo with Air Travel Experts and a day later received an email from them apologising that the booking had not gone through. I was alarmed, and hurriedly contacted the agency. In the end, Nick at Air Travel Expert went out of his way to ensure I got the tickets I wanted, although we made some changes to my original booking. So although I thought I had been duped, I found that with one-to-one contact all was sorted out, and Nick was helpful and polite.

I Wish I'd Have Read the Reviews About These so called "Air Travel Experts"

I booked 3 flights from London to Phuket 20th October 2017, received all the relavent confirmation from ATE only to be told by Thai Airways 3 weeks later that the money has not been received from ATE and so the tickets cannot be released.

You call their customer service number and they fob you off with a "technical issue fault" and if I require a response then email is the best option, only you guessed it, they do NOT reply to emails either.

So it seems the only way forward is possibly the police as these so called Air Travel Experts have robbed my money!!!

Please, dont book with this company!
I dont want to tell the whole story, but believe I could make you cry.
Just stay away from this "expert", because the only thing what they are expert is, how to cheat on you and stole your money.
Learn from others mistake, not from your own....

they allowed me to book a wrong ticket (child fare instead of adult fare). On some sites child 2-12, on others 2-11.
Regardless the system should stop me of booking a child ticket if date of birth entered was in contradiction with child age definition.
Or while issuing tickets notifying me about the mistake and asking to pay different fare. Now they say they need to cancel the ticket and issue a new one, which will cost lots of money.
Wrote a complaint on 18 September, still awaiting an answer. They keep saying I will get a reply this week, and then next week come no answer...
Terrible customer service - they don't want to give their names for reference, they don't connect you with the manager.
I am escalating the complaint further now.
Never ever use them again!

DO NOT TRUST. DONT BOK ONLINE. THEY WILL HOLD YOURMONEY AND NOT SENDING ETICKETS. WE HAVE BOOKD AND THE NEXT DAY WE GOT AN EMAIL IT WAS A TECHNICAL ERROR, NO TICKETS FOR THAT PRICE. STILL I DID NOR RECIVE MY MONEY BACK.

Booked a trip with Air Travel Experts to Singapore. Very polite and friendly staff, excellent show of customer service. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Shambles of a company, they are also the same company as Holiday Mood - googling reviews for either company on other review sites will show you just how bad they are. This review is on that page too so people can see they are related, their facebook page has nothing but complaints about similar issues listed here.

Ordered tickets Dec 16', in early March 17' we discover that they cancelled our Premium Economy not a week after we initially ordered and changed it to Economy thus losing our pre-booked seats and forcing us to be seated apart (and costing them quite a bit more to re-book back to PE at a higher price, which i assume is why they would not eventually fulfill).

After 6 more months of being promised our e-tickets the culmination of which was to be finally told that they could not fulfill the tickets purchased 8 months prior due to an airline error (which according to both Delta, Virgin Atlantic and 3 separate travel agents, was a complete lie), we finally received a refund days later.

The customer service team who change their names every time you call them back will pass you from pillar to post and never call you back or fob you off and the only supervisor (Nick or Tim - i forget) we managed to to get through to was constantly "busy" when we rang up the 3rd time on-wards.

The only reason our issue was resolved so swiftly in the end was due to contacting the director of the company (who also said he was somebody else on first contact) and getting him to resolve it. Had we left it up to their "online team" i dread to think how long it would have taken to finally uncover the fact that they had basically taken our money knowing full well they would never be able to fulfill our order and were simply stringing us along as they have done many others.

If you want months of uncertainty as to whether they are actually going to pay the airline and a good chance of turning up at the airport to be told the agent cancelled your tickets or you are on a different flight, then they are ideal for you.

If you would like the security of knowing your flight is fully paid for and that you won't turn up at the airport to be told the flight possibly doesn't even exist (see their other reviews) then go somewhere else.

There's a reason they aren't in ABTA.

Edit 16/11: They asked me for further information regarding my order which on refusing they then reported my review as they do not believe i am a genuine customer (hah!). Proof of order sent to trust pilot and review re-instated, whatever you do - avoid this company and book elsewhere unless you enjoy months of stress and uncertainty!

i paid in full for my virginatlantic flight, i needed to get my E-TICKET this month so i could boost my air miles, i sent emails and made phone calls, i was getting stressed and no where until my last call today was with a nice guy called nick. who was very helpfull and i got my E-TICKET, THANK YOU VERY MUCH NICK, next time i need my flights i will ask for your service,

DO NOT USE. Agree with another post on how they were allowed to be found via momondo. Calling customer service is pointless you clearly know they are not who they say they are when asking their names they reply with Tim, Chris. Names which doesn't even work with them. This is simply the worst travel agent which I have dealt with period.
They do not issue tickets like other travel agents quickly seems as though they hold your monies whilst gaining interest then book the seats when they feel like.
If you want to contact the key people I suggest you go to companies house and lookup where you will find they are linked to holidaymood.co.uk.

How this company is even allowed to operate via Momondo is beyond me. The agents at their office are unprofessional, extremely rude and unhelpful. From my experience, companies usually send a follow up email containing the eTicket within a timely manner.

However this company fail to understand that it is in the customers right to ask about this if they have not received it. After 2 promises that they will send me my eTicket, I'm still waiting for it. Disgusting company.

From the flight search engine momondo.co.uk, it leads me to airtravelexperts.co.uk. I booked the date and paid as usual. I received booking reference via e-mail and it said the e-ticket will follow which it is normal. I checked the the Austrian and Swiss airline and see our flights booked with our names. That was fine. Until next day, I found out our booking has been cancelled both flights and the money has left our bank. After whole week with many telephone calls and a number of e-mails to their customer service ask for refund our money, Still no refund. @momondo, @ Swiss airline, @ Austrian airline
