Such a disappointing experience.
WiFi is painful, unstable connection which had to be re-set many times, often had access for less than 5 minutes at a time. Surely in 2025 in an international airport the least you can expect is a stable WiFi connection? Especially when customers are encouraged to check in online and tickets / boarding passes are delivered electronically 🤷♀️
Breakfast for four at Todd English was poor and very expensive at £80. I’m not sure how you can spoil a poached egg on toast (seemed like the toast had been kept warm for some considerable time before serving) and sour avocado. Kids had pancakes which again had been kept warm before serving and had a texture of leather.
We had a 1 hour flight delay with inadequate seating opportunities at the gate.
Prices throughout are extortionate - I accept all airports charge top price but Abu Dhabi seemed to exploit this more than most.
Very disappointing and poor end to our holiday. Will avoid this airport in the future, whenever possible.
The worst airport experience I have ever encountered. The rudest, most unhelpful staff ever to be found. A very frightening experience for a woman, I found them to be racist and extremely bad treatment to white women, almost treated like a criminal. Will avoid at all costs for future lay overs.
I am being tossed from one department to another continuously after missing a flight ONLY because of a woman who works for the airport who I thought was working for Indigo. Now I digo is not taking the fault and the airport too is not and I missed the flight even after online checking in, and going to her, she sent me two times to get my baggage wrapped, which was totally unnecessary, once I got it done she told me sorry I can't board you anymore. I arrived before time. I checked in online. All evidences are available. I am stuck at the airport with great frustration. The next tickets costs a FORTUNE. The other staff who was at the indigo station was clever to state that he was never an Indigo staff and that he never even met me even though he did.
Unfortunately it is getting worse and worse.
Pity because it is a great infrastructure and one of the best I have seen. But the staff and services are appalling
The tourist office is high tech and has an interactive screen with some attractions... But the staff seems so angry that you dare to appear!! and take them away from their phones!!! Of course they get rid of you in seconds."get the app", Google it" is their answers!!! I asked about the free shuttle, they had no schedules on paper, they have no idea how it runs..etc. basically they know nothing and they can't be bothered.So rude.
I took those shuttles- no stop is indicated, the staff around say they never heard of it,and once the bus comes the route its not indicated on it. The simplest thing, just put the name of the route at the front.!A1, B, D, etc..!!! especially as the drivers are SO moody and stern and they say nothing apart from a no or yes ,if they answer at all!! And with such anger!!you struggle to get them to answer which route it is!! They just stare angrily at you and don't answer.unless you repeat a few times, whereby they take a very bothered bored look and deliver very monosyllabic replies that are less than half answers!!
If you ask another question they just scornfully ignore it- and you!
Just awful ,unprofessional and that heavy moodiness and sourness...
No one cares,no one checks, no quality control!??
I saw "shuttle service" somewhere at arrivals and I asked if they go to Dubai -which was my future plan. The man there, blatantly lied!!! And told me that this shutlle is only for Abu Dhabi and he was playing arrogant as well!
I struggled to get him to say where the Dubai buses were:."outside", he said.A LIAR!! I went just one step away to the transport booth to ask where" outside " the Dubai bus stops and they showed me back that "shuttle service" booth.but , I said, the man there told me it is only for Abu Dhabi, I said. No they said this IS the Dubai bus!!!well,yes IT WAS going!!! So I thus discovered this disgusting man's lie.. don't talk about his oh so bored, bothered intolerant condescending attitude...to have to answer to me???
He forgot what he is paid for???
. How do they select and hire such people at this airport?? Does anyone care about the substandard services the rude even evil people?what kind of management is this? There is so much more to add..
The endless staring from the staff, the loud yawning and lifting the arms like they are in their bedroom , especially when you pass nearby, their wallking onto you, or cutting onto.you , endless abusive behaviour... the cleaners in the toilet who come next to touand stare directly into you in the mirror while you put your creams....eye to eye they stare obnoxiously and harshly and never go away , etc
They get paid to clean ,not to harass the customers...
This airport has it all -yet it is a horrible experience and no one cares. I pass a few times per year and if is always ruder, more aggressive and more unprofessional and arrogant .
The immigration officials were unprofessional & unhelpful
Fabulous new airport. Very fast checking -However- if your 1kg over they will fleece you. The duty free is also very expensive. Some drinks are over twice the price of regular off licence shops. Food is also very over priced.a bar of chocolate is very expensive- never mind a box of chocolates. It's a shame it has increased prices so much just because it’s a new airport. Other than that the travel aspect was without hiccup
