Bought a sound desk and had a problem. (Finger trouble!). Guy I spoke to could not have been more helpful. Sorted in 5 minutes. Would definitely buy again.
Soundcraft Signature, great budget desk

I bought a dexibell keyboard from absolute music in January 2017. It turned out to be a rubbish keyboard with a high price tag. After a few months a couple keys stopped working and others were scratching and clicking. Also multiple buttons on the interface didn't work.
I sent it back to absolute music expecting to get a refund or at least part exchange and instead was given the option to send it back for repair.
Fair enough.
I got the keyboard back after 2 months, it was completely smashed and wouldn't turn on. The plastic sides were both smashed and the case was bent. The shop told me they had sent it off to Italy for repair and hadn't opened the box to check it before sending it on to me. Still they would not offer me a refund or part exchange and in the end we agreed that they would order the parts in and do the work themselves.
About 3 months later I received the keyboard and sold it on immediately making a massive loss but relieved to get it off my hands.

I would be hesitant to order anything from absolute music again and to be honest I think manager Rufus (who seems to be the Arthur Daley of the music shop world) would be very happy if I didnt!
It was very difficult to get a straight answer out of the chap and he would try his best to avoid talking to me. Instead of a reasonable time estimate he would just say call back next week. After a week I would call back and ask for Rufus who normally didn't answer the main phone. 'I'll just go get him' would be the reply. 'Unfortunately he's not here today, call back tomorrow'.
This could go on for 4/5 more days before I could finally get through to Rufus who would say 'call back next week'. After a month or so one of his colleagues helpfully told me his office phone extension. Suddenly Rufus seemed to be back to full time work.

I would recommend that unless you live close to the store don't buy anything expensive from absolute music.

Excellent service. I purchased a digital stage piano with Absolute Music with finance through their external provider (which was relatively easy to apply + quickly processed). The goods arrived in less than 36 hours of the order. Minor damage to exterior product box but most likely a fault of the delivery courier and no damage to the goods inside caused by this. Excellent piano for the price paid, I am very happy - thanks!

I ordered a pair of Sennheiser HD25 headphones on next day delivery and they never arrived. I phoned Absolute Music and told them and they refused to refund me until the parcel had been returned but DPD have lost the parcel. So mow i'm having to get the Trading Standards and Consumer Direct involved because the law states i'm entitled to my money back.

I'd say don't botherwith this shop because they're unsympathetic and seem typical, once they have your money they don't care.

So far really good- I'm after Epiphone Matt Heafy LP 7 string, which seem to be extremely difficult to find. I have been helped by a polite and helpful guy, he checked everything for me, and gave some advice. Although I am still shopping around, I will probably be returning to place the order for the guitar.

I've used Absolute several times and always had a good experience. The last time was particularly good; I was buying a bunch of drumming software - some with download codes but some in physical packaging. I received a call shortly - from a man named Jordan - after placing the order and was asked if I would like to receive all the software codes via email. This meant I could avoid the wait for the software, and the need to send three boxes through the post, all of which only had a card with a code on anyway and would then just end up taking up space in cupboard somewhere once installed.

Very happy indeed!

Have bought quite a lot of things from this shop in the past, always had great service.. I recently bought a guitar I realised wasn't for me, absolutely no quibbles about exchanging it for the right one.. The cafe is great too if you ever visit the store.. Well recommended.. Will be back there soon I'm sure...

Just bought an Epiphone acoustic guitar from these guys, never having heard of them before. Really good series of emails and texts specifying delivery time etc and product was really carefully cocooned in a mix of cardboard and polystyrene so it reached me in perfect nick.

Great that they offered a package too, including strap and stand, at the same price as others were offering the naked guitar.

Very happy to recommend them. And my new Epiphone guitar.

Ordered a Roland GC-1 Stratocaster from them on the 6th of January '16.
After hearing nothing for 4 weeks I emailed them to be told they would be in touch soon with a delivery date.
After 6 weeks they cancelled the order telling me the guitar was no longer available. They also backdated an additional email to make it look like they told me this two weeks earlier. Nonsense!
They also told me that no other retailer would have been able to fill this order. At the time I ordered (January) it was available from around 10 different retailers, now only 3.
They've left me scrambling and paying more.
No explanation of their behavior or an apology.

I have bought a couple of expensive items from them now, unseen. I've talked to them on the phone about the items, and they're really helpful, well informed and not at all pushy. Delivery was bang on time on both occasions, within a specified hour window. The items were even better than described, and really well set up. These guys are good! Highly recommended!

Bought a Meinl hi-hat tambourine. Best price, good friendly service, and arrived when promised. I'd use them again, no problem.

i was looking for a guitar and came across this company there prices were the cheapest on the net . i orderd my guitar and was told it would be with me in 5 to 10 days and in 7 days it was :) these guys sent me plenty of e mails keeping me informed of delivery and shipping . i found there services and prices to be spot on will definately be using again

Not much to say, only that I purchased 2 items from them online without any problems. Definitely recommend them.

I bought a s/h high-end Gretsch hollowbody. Staff were v helpful and gave me ample time in a rehearsal room to try out and compare three Gretschs. And, was a great guitar too!

Sent faulty item, they tried to wriggle out of it but very professionally. Crafty buggers made me change my order rather than a refund. Very helpful and would use again though... albeit reluctantly.
