Here at Abakhan, we pride ourselves on offering value for money throughout the vast range of Fabrics, Yarns, Crafts, Sewing Accessories and Haberdashery we have on offer. We are committed to sourcing the best products at the best prices for our customers and frequently have stock lots, clearance parcels and special offers available. Started by the Abakhan family in the late forties as a rug weaving business, the first retail outlet opened in Mostyn, North Wales over thirty years ago. As well as a major retail outlet, this site also occupies the head office and distribution operations of Michael Abakhan Ltd and is also a site of considerable local historic interest. The company has taken great care to preserve the old works buildings resulting in the presentation of an award by the Prince of Wales for the sympathetic restoration of the buildings. Still headed by family members, Abakhan has now been trading for almost 60 years, with 9 stores across the North West (North Wales, Manchester, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Bolton, Chester, Hanley, Preston & Shrewsbury). Fantastic Fabric/Yarn Hobby/Craft Site
First time ordering with Abakhan and not disappointed, I was looking for a certain wool I’d run out of and there it was and cheaper than what I’d paid for previously, so much stock for all crafters, good prices and delivery was very quick, will definitely be using Abakhan again.

Putting prices up just before a sale mm I wonder …
A little dissatisfied with my shopping experience this time otherwise it’s absolutely brilliant especially when Sabiha is in at the Prestonstore she is so helpful
Well I went in last Thursday and bought 3 meters of fabric at 5.99 a meter
I went to get an extra 1/2 meter today so Monday and it’s gone up by a £1
The assistant said they change prices every week !!
Now they have 20% off this weekend I wonder that’s what they are doing it for
So people think it’s a bargain when In fact they put up prices the week before so just beware !!
So not sure about Abakhans takticks
Anyway that’s my gripe for today

Long delay
I recently ordered some fabric dye and silk fabric. I received an order confirmation (6th June), but no despatch notice arrived. After a week I e-mailed to find out where my order was. The reply came the next day, my order had been traced (I wonder where it was!) and would now be dispatched.
After another six days, the order finally arrived, (19th June), thirteen days after I placed the order.

Zero stars from me for not accepting cash
Zero stars from me. Now they have gone cashless. Well deserving of the extortionate banking fees for not accepting cash. I spent £120 in another fabric store as I refuse to be forced to pay by card

Fabrics and prices good but customer…
Fabrics and prices good but customer service poor.
Went the day after Easter Monday. Waited at a desk to pay for one item but this was unmanned with no sign of anyone turning up any time soon. Went to a nearby desk to wait behind a customer being served but told to go back to other desk. When I pointed out there was no one there was told there would bet some point. Staff member said there were only 3 of them in. Put item back and left.
Will not be going again.
