Really poor service - they have an app that does not make it remotely clear that you are booking for a fifteen minute window rather than a specific time. Drivers then log that they are with you soon... Se mere

No loyalty and rubbish communication

I used to use 247 but had a bad experience with a no show so had moved to Uber. I decided to give them another chance recently and have been using 247 Cars Ickenham for the last few weeks as I have been unable to drive and have crutches - I have done 11 trips in 2 weeks to various medical appointments. They had been brilliant - I have been booking through the app and no problems. I gave myself a 25m window to get to Northwood from Ickenham today so booked at 13.05 and the driver didn't show. In fact, when I spoke to him at 13.17, he was only at West Ruislip station. I would never have made my appointment. I spoke to the controller who informed me that on Fridays between 12.30 and 13.30 they are short of drivers. I questioned whether they should be taking the bookings in that case (I had booked this morning at 07.39) or at least communicate with their customers when they don't have drivers, giving them enough notice to find an alternative. To which I was questioned "how are we supposed to communicate with you when you book through the app?". Laughable response and considering the automatic email generation and information stored in the app. In fact, I think I was just being fed a line by the controller. It is pretty easy to keep people happy! The driver is running late, let the customer know in good time. I will go back to using Uber who although are pretty rubbish too at the moment, communicate with their customers. Strange way of running a business!

Don't bother wasting your time

My family booked several taxis to take us to a restaurant for a birthday party with 24 hours notice through the app. They didn't even ring us to say that they were busy and the taxis were going to be late. We wasnt notified of the delay and it wasn't until we rung them and found out that there would be no taxis arriving at all. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Won't use them ever again. I ordered from uber instead and they were at my door within 3 minutes. Uber were also cheaper! If I could give 0 stars then I would.

Drivers take they jobs the want

Drivers take they jobs the want. If you book it will tell you 5 mins then another job comes through for more money they will cancel your ride and take the next ride. Twice this week this taxi firm has made me late for school run. Won’t be using them again.. terrible service

Not good enough.

Booked a taxi for my elderly parents to Russell's Hall Hospital. This was ok. The return journey didn't happen as they just didn't turn up! The hospital called them to ask where they were and they denied dropping them off! Then tried to charge an extra 5 pounds for a wheelchair (that easily fits inside a boot) they then didn't turn up!
Thank God for Tripletwenty taxis that saved the day!
For whatever reason this mix up happened. It's not good enough to leave 2 elderly people waiting in the cold and to not turn up
We will be using Tripletwenty from now on.

247 Cars…

Always have been using this company for airport trips. Always got a good driver and was charged what I was quoted except today.when we returned from Heathrow Airport.
Going there taxi driver was very nice, charged exactly what we were quoted. Today when taxi driver collected us from Heathrow arrived very early at the airport. I got a call when I was still on the plane.
By the time we came out we had to pay 14 pounds parking charge, we accepted that mistake happens, he was not suppose to arrive before I called them anyway.
We were quoted 41 pounds for the return trip. His meter was showing 45 pounds when we got into the taxi, after a long journey I was prepared to let go of few pounds but it didn’t end there.
He said he will charge 18 pounds more as waiting charge, he said to us these were company rules, which I wasn’t aware of.
I knew we were responsible for parking charges but hadn’t realised that I had to pay him extra for arriving early, his mistake not ours.
I will certainly not be dealing with this company again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.
Please be careful.

Driver trying to scam an xtra £1.00

Ordered a taxi last week from Crown meadow Estate Alvechurch to McDonald's Northfield for 11.30am. Had this confirmed by female operator. Gets a phone call just after 11.15am from the driver saying he's already arrived. I said to him your going to have to give me ten minutes as you're early and the taxi was a confirmed booking for half past eleven. So when I got in the cab he had put an xtra £1.50 on the meter for his time waiting. I appreciate there is £4.50 on the meter when you get in. Anyway I let it go. Today Sunday 4th of January I booked a taxi outside McDonald's Northfield to Alvechurch. Said to the driver go straight down the Bristol Rd, thru Longbridge, thru Barnt Green into Alvechurch, can't go wrong. He was adamant about going thru westheath. So I've been at work, I just want to get home. Pulls up at the destination, I says to him hang on for a couple of minutes and let me get the money from my house. He agrees. But he says to me if your 5mins or longer it will be an xtra £1. Anyway I goes and gets him the fare of £12.takes me just on 3 minutes, then he has the audacity trying to scam the £1 out of me saying 5mins had passed. Pour company. Used them a lot in the past. But never again. For the sake of trying to Rob me for a pound. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I had a very uncomfortable and unprofessional experience with 247 Carz Birmingham. I was quoted an estimated fare of £50 for my journey, communicated to the driver by someone named Asad . When I got into the car, the driver immediately asked for the money upfront, which I found unusual but I handed him £60 in cash.

When we arrived at the destination, he gave me £10 back, implying the fare had stayed at £50. However, when I asked to see the taxi meter to confirm the final price, the driver became hesitant and clearly did not want to show it. Instead, I could see that he was using a calculator, which is completely incorrect — the fare should always be based on the actual meter reading, not an estimate or someone else’s calculation.

It felt very clear that something wasn’t right, and the situation gave me the impression that I was being overcharged or misled. If I hadn’t questioned it, I genuinely believe I could have lost money unfairly. A licensed taxi should always be transparent, use the meter properly, and never avoid showing it to the customer.

This experience left me feeling uncomfortable, pressured, and mistrustful. I would strongly advise others to be very careful, always insist on seeing the meter, and avoid paying upfront.

Late pick ups, poor customer service

My son has ongoing hospital transport from 247 radio cars. He is due at hospital for 8am and the taxi is booked each week for 07:30. Last night, 247 phoned to advise me the collection time had been ammended by the hospital (probably because they are sick of us always arriving late because of the taxi) and they would be picking us up at 07:15. I got my son up early for this. At 07:20 247 phone to say they are running late... surprise surprise. I'm then told the taxi will be 10 minutes because nobody is available... amazing. It's now 07:37 and the taxi still isn't here. My son will be late for his essential treatment once again and not a word of apology from 247 for taking on a contract they should prioritise and then failing to do what they are paid for. My son can't use public transport because he's recovering from chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. He has no immune system which means we have to rely on hospital transport. 247 enjoy holding vulnerable patients to ransom so they can keep an ill deserved contract. I'll be suggesting the hospital put their contract out to tender. Would you be so uncaring if it was your critically ill child being messed around? I doubt it. Thanks for another let down!

The system is flawed

The system is flawed. Drivwr was 15 mins late because of traffic. Apparently jobs aren't released until 10 minutes before bookiing time. So how are taxi's going to get to their jobs on time if there is traffic etc? Never again.

Waste of time

I'll start with tonight... booked a taxi, got in taxi, paid via app, got home, driver called rank, rank said I hadn't paid... I provided proof on my online banking, which driver confirmed, date time and amount, rank still wouldn't have it...

Lets rewind... 17th october... booked a taxi from our home address to walsall, somehow taxi turned up to me at Wednesbury with my car, driver was lovely he cancelled I spoke to rank who said id be refunded.. (I wasnt) ordered another from home address to walsall... it booked from Walsall to Walsall 🫩, again called rank said id be refunded (i wasnt) finally got a taxi booking directly with rank

Lets rewind even more... booked a taxi to an event with small children.
, we got there, we also booked and paid in advance for it home.. it didn't turn up, called for it again stated driver was 3 minutes away, cancelled on us, 4 times... we ended up walking 40 minutes home in the rain... I PROVIDED PROOF to your driver tonight of the times I've paid and no refunds at all, aswell as proof for tonight's journey which you said you hadn't revieved. I recorded the conversation (perks of my job)

Absolute waste of time.

Highly Recommend This Sirvice through 24/7 Cars;

As a vulnerable Adult. I can wholeheartedly confirm and declare
I do not recognise a majority of the negative reviews.
Personally . I can honestly confirm without prejudice, it appears to me there may be a Witch-hunt afoot. Or:
Indeed very disturbed individuals being supplied a free taxi ride to condemn 24/7 Radio cars in Acocks Green potentially...

I can reassure those critical judgemental trolls, writing negative reviews, or whether the service was as bad in an earlier period, it most certainly a very high standard of service since I was introduced to them through a friend whom highly recommended 24/7, when I had a large shopping and other items again very large items.to be delivered to my.local public house over 4 mile away. But i was honest about what I needed delivering Be honest with the number of people, or packages and as they were in boxes my friend also declared what needed transporting, was not concealed items just domestic and commercial items. No concealed unkosha.things.

There drivers are exceptionally respectful. We casually chat and respect each others views, opinions and religions, or none as it sometimes happens. Either way they are undertaking supplying a service and running it and managing a Private Cab service is very hard work, juggling all the problems both in the office over the telephone, processing incoming hiring and negotiating drivers and their issues.Etc. Then there is the Switch operators. Or trying to get the bodies to fulfill busy session ad Driver report in sick, or their cars as a shredded tire, or more more significant damage caused by the sheer cliff face drops we refer to as Portholes...

Talk to thier operators with a little more respect. We are all supposed to be Human Beings. Do you sleep at.night? Or why are many treating their staff with such contempt? Are you using the pronoun or referring to your label as an animal of some kind perhaps???

So why not respectfully and considerately speak in your soft and effective communication and tone it down quite. Respect does not in my experiance need to be earnt, but given first. Try being polite and curious. Then you'll find a high majority of people will respond in kind. Calmly and none challenging. In other words respect begets respect back...

The cars are very clean. 24/7 is punctional and always the driver's meter figure is always lower than the quote given, if asked formwhen booking the taxi. The drivers bend over backwards to satisfy their Customers by going the extra mile. Their fares are exceptionally competitive. Cheapest and most.effecient Service by far....

So why do many condemn the drivers
and/or the Company?

Keep up the highly, positively, good works and these highest services by far.
Be very proud for all you achieve has many are simply not interested in writing reviews, but give positive feedback when asked by myself. Maybe consider undertaking a Survey asking for a short yes or no answers, supplied by Switch at office or Drivers upon job completion. It would be good to get uptodate feedback by answering Yes or No questions. Shorter the better before boredom, or other negative conditions kick in???

No other company provides.or have i received over the last couple of months, such highly bespoke wonderful Services. I would highly recommend the team to anyone who requires a taxi. (Like I did last Friday as I know at least three people made the call to this company attending City Nightlife.).. They as I, are sufficiently impressed. .Thank you and may God bless you all.

We cannot buy increased goodwill. But a negative review is saddening and disabling in its self. Highly disingenious, if proven untrue is libellous!!!
The damage unfortunately it does for our Businesses can be beyond measure. At least 24/7 respond to over 60% of all reviews. This is a challenge in itself. Especially at busier times...
Let those who can see, see. And those who can eat, ear. Those whom can read and actually understand English language Read and understand my heartfelt and sincere review...

Do not ever use this taxi base my 12 year old daughter got a taxi from her friends and the driver who looked to be in his late 30s was asking her if she had a boyfriend and she was beautiful and he would love to take her for food this driver needs sacking on the spot I called and made a complaint and still not heard nothing back yet absolutely vile cretin of a man

AVOID TERRIBLE UNREASONABLE TAXI COMPANY

Hi all. Do yourself a great big favour and don't used this company. They let me and my family down very badly on what they knew was a very important and immensely sad family meeting. They had plenty of notice for my family gathering and continually lied about when the taxi was coming. The man on the phone made me over an hour late for a 15min journey. In the end after giving them the chance to be honest with me I had to use another company. No apology and a very rude man on there phone. No wonder they get so many bad reviews. So wish i checked trustpilot first.

Not happy using the taxi today…

Have been using this taxi for century.But never had a experience like this until today.I called for a taxi he came sat in the car.I had to asked him to open the booth .he didn't get out the car not once .So I put my shopping in and close the booth and take the trolly back.As I reach my destination he sat in the car and open the booth.strugglying to get the shopping out .he didn't even exit the car to shut the booth so I had to return and close the booth .If that how 247 treat their customers.I will need to asked for a polite taxi driver .it's a good company with alot of good polite driver .But one bad apple will give them bad rating..Am sure they are suppose to open the booth for the customer to remove their shopping and then should close it.If it every happen again I will remove my shopping and leave the booth open. 247. should call a regular meeting to train some of the driver to be more polite and assist customers.Do expect them to take my shopping out.

Will never use this company ever again.
Pre booked the taxi the night before to be picked up the next morning to be at Wolverhampton train station…

Was kept waiting almost half an hour..
Phoned up and
Was told it was a Friday morning busy etc .

Rang back again and was told the driver would be 2 minutes..
Taxi still didn’t turn up after waiting a further 10 minutes and we had to phone back yet again and was told the same story.

Load of bullshit.

Not the first time this has happened either.

Have been a regularly customer but not no more.

Will go with a better company who do turn up when you ask a time to come.

VERY BAD SERVICE..
