Avoid this company
Avoid this company! Especially if you live outside of the UK. They say they make their shipment conditions clear, but they do not. I got a customs bill because they will not take care of this for you. Also, poor quality (the covers on the spiral bound are simply thick paper and not cardboard) and horrible customer service. Fun idea, but totally not worth it.

Thanks for your feedback, Tiffany. We're sorry you weren't aware that since Brexit, EU countries may charge import taxes on orders from the UK. As our customer service team advised you via email, we make this very clear on our website. We've even made it impossible to complete your purchase without agreeing to the pop-up at checkout, which advises of potential customs charges.
These charges are outside of our control, so the only thing we can do is advise our EU customers of the potential fees before they place their order. If you have any suggestion on how we can make this even clearer, we'd love to hear from you.
EU Import taxes apply
The notebooks arrived, it took several weeks though. To my surprise, there were about 10% import tax which was not shown at checkout time, the shipping cost was displayed as free. I was not aware that the order would be coming from outside the EU. Be careful when ordering from this UK company with regards to import taxes, if you are not within the UK yourself. They did not offer a refund for the taxes and basically said that I should've known better. I say that they should do a better job of calculating the taxes and pointing it out clearly when ordering.

Thanks for your feedback, Christian. As our customer service team advised you, import taxes and customs fees are additional charges which we have no control over. We ship for free, but every EU country has different import regulations and some charge these additional fees on international purchases.
We're unsure how we can make it even clearer that we, as a UK company, print our notebooks in the UK, since it says it on nearly every page, and our URL ends with .co.uk. If you weren't aware that the UK isn't part of the EU anymore, we're not sure whether we can take any responsibility for that. But we will certainly take your feedback on board and better communicate these potential charges on our website.

I love the notebooks
I love the notebooks. Various colours to choose from. I went for the bound versions. Great finish.
The main thing are the funny titles. I have bought a bunch of them for friends and as a “return to the office after lockdown” present for my co-workers. Very well received by all. Everybody loves and needs a good notebook! Also, good delivery times. Love them!
Also great that they are produced in Europe and travel miles are reasonable.
Trustpilot did not let me use the name of the notebooks because the abbreviation was deemed inappropriate. But I love the irreverence of it all. (Is Trustpilot a US based firm? They don’t get sarcasm?)

Quick delivery. Very well made product with lots of choices of colours for the front covers.

Notebook replacement
I ordered a notebook which did not arrive, after contacting customer services a replacement was sent out using a courier service. The notebook looks really good and their customer service was excellent.

Who'd have thought a notebook could make you laugh out loud?
There is a real polarisation of reviews here...but I think some of them miss the point. If you want the highest quality notebook for your money (quality in this sense = paper/binding/cover) then buy elsewhere; if, however, you want a notebook that is perfectly good enough in terms of quality but then offers something on top which will spark joy, conversation and laughter, this is the place to go. There's a great range of titles - suitable for new work colleagues, family right through to best friends who share all your darkest secrets - and I (and my team) are big fans!

Disappointed
Loved the idea of these and bought 2 as gifts. The quality is poor - the cardboard cover is thin and doesn’t sit right to cover all the pages. There isn’t enough paper to the binder. They look cheap - so disappointed- for the price I was expecting quality.

However, the cover not lining up with the pages sounds like a manufacturing error which is an extremely rare occurrence. A brilliant company
My daughter told me about these notebooks and I am so glad she did . I have just placed my second order ( for Christmas table presents ) and I can’t wait to see them unwrapped . The titles are hilarious and so witty but that’s not all , the books themselves are very good quality and a joy to use . Service is also quick and efficient , a brilliant company .

I saw these notebooks and they appealed to my wicked sense of humour.
I saw these notebooks and they appealed to my wicked sense of humour. I placed my first order which arrived without any issues. I gave my husband a couple of the books and kept a few for myself, keeping the rest for Xmas gifts. I find that although these are just spiral bound notebooks to write in the quality of the notepaper is good. I saw a few more titles which I thought was apt for stocking fillers for other family members so I placed a second order for those.
I agree with the reviews that you can buy cheaper notebooks but it’s the titles on the covers that make these books stand out from the rest.

You're right, our notebooks may not the cheapest – but unlike many other journals, WTF Notebooks are not bulk imported from Asia. They are custom made to order in the UK 🇬🇧 And as you mentioned, the titles and quality speak for themselves 😊

Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish. Flimsy, poor quality, cheap. I bought 8 and spent just over £80. They look like something I would get free at a crap networking event. Customer services were very condescending and unwilling to refund, citing that they are personalised and custom made so don’t fall into the distance selling terms of online ordering. Absolutely not true.
You can’t personalise them, only select from a choice or colours and bindings. I refuse to be ripped off by this company and will be taking it further.

While we appreciate your feedback, we don't believe it's fair to compare a customised notebook, made to order in the UK – with the mass-produced, bulk imported notebooks you find in your local supermarket.
We believe our prices are fair as every one of our notebooks needs to be marketed, custom produced and shipped (which we offer for free), and we try to be as transparent about our notebook specs as possible.
