I joined the India Clinic project in July/August 2023 and it was all a great experience. It's a perfect place for students and new grads to improve their surgical skills, the vets there being happy to teach the procedures step by step (mainly neutering, but depending on the skills, non-routine surgery as well). I was really happy with the Worldwide Vets team, feeling safe and having support constantly :)

Comng to the Costa Rica project was a dream of mine for quite some time and everything I have experienced during my stay made me sure that it was a right decision. A lot of hands-on experience with wildlife, weekly trips around Costa Rica and dr. Mora who was a great mentor- patient, extremely knowledgeable and always smiling- made my trip something truly memorable.
I definitely recommend this project for anyone interested in wildlife (even with little experience)!

Dr. Charles is the heart and soul of this project and he is awesome. He always look out for everyone and makes sure everyone is happy.
I think the project is perfect for everyone who is in last years of vet school or just finished as most of the time you will learn basic care of animals, like cleaning wounds, vaccinate, deworm injections etc. or how to stich up an animal's wound. Also you will get teached how to castrate male and female cats and dogs alone, which is great. So for beginners and non-experienced vet students/ finished vets its perfect I would say.

The accommodation is simple but fine.

I had the opportunity to visit and work at the Thailand vet clinic (Rescue P.A.W.S.) as a veterinary student in my last year.
It was the perfect experience to get to know how the job is done in a different country with different resource, to learn more about stray animals behavior and still I was able to get to know the culture and country. The whole team was lovely and very welcoming! Hope I can come back one day again :)

I participated in the July 2023 experience and had an amazing time! I was nervous going into it, especially traveling alone to a new country. However, my worries were squandered when our group all met inside the airport and conversation quickly started flowing. The 2 weeks were spent traveling throughout the country, making friendships, and learning through practice. Dr. Fabiola and Brendan were amazing teachers and gave a handful of helpful lectures about darting, anesthesia, conservation, and more. Most days were spent in the field working on wildlife. My group was lucky enough to work on almost 10 rhino doing a variety of things like dehorning, wellness, and implementing trackers. We also worked with buffalo, big cats, and antelope. I would definitely do this experience again, especially because each time is different! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Fabiola and the atmosphere of inclusiveness and encouragement she created. I never felt silly for asking her for help and I’m really grateful for her passion for teaching students.

I highly recommend the Stables Project in Zimbabwe with Worldwide Vets. Sarah was brilliant at organising the trip and in communicating with us. The stay was everything we hoped for and more. Great horses, wildlife and community experiences. Living with the other volunteers added to the experience and the team on the ground were super friendly and welcoming. Loved it so much that I hope to go again.

The India vet clinic is a great place to gain hands-on experience with various animals in a safe and friendly atmosphere. You have plenty of opportunities to be involved with routine surgeries as well as emergency cases seen in the outpatient department. The team is amazing, so friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious. Worldwide vets made organising the trip extremely easy. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

An absolutely incredible experience. I came in with previous conservation knowledge but prior to beginning vet school, and I thought I wanted to become a veterinarian that did conservation work. I left being sure of that. The vets we worked with were compassionate and worked so diligently to educate us and give us hands-on experience. My clinical skills and my didactic knowledge have increased as a result of this trip and I’m so excited for the day I can begin my work in this field. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in veterinary medicine and conservation, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The Thailand Vet Clinic volunteer programme was exactly what I was looking for. As a qualified veterinarian I was struggling in my ‘day-job’ and was starting to feel like I was losing passion for what I do. The Thailand clinic brought that all back for me. I spent two weeks assisting the veterinarian with surgical procedures and treatments. Most afternoons I was able to rejoin with the non-clinical volunteers to do outreach work with community dogs and other humanitarian work they had planned.
I wasn’t aware of the humanitarian work the rescue group were doing prior to arriving in Thailand but it was the highlight of my trip working with the beautiful refugee children. My heart feels full coming back home to Australia and I can’t wait to go again!!!

Safari Vet Internship - South Africa
One of the best things I have ever done, would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in wildlife and conservation. I learned so much about what the vets do in their day to day life and how we can get involved in conservation no matter where we live. It was an experience of a lifetime getting to work with such amazing animals and something i will never forget.

As a pre-veterinary student, I could not recommend this experience enough for anyone interested in working with animals! I worked on this project for three weeks, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Dr. Mora is one of the best veterinarians I've had the chance to work with. He is patient, very intelligent, is incredible at teaching, and does everything in his power to make sure you are able to do everything and lets everyone be very hands-on with the animals, regardless of whether or not you're a vet student or not. I was able to work hands-on with a sloth, macaws, iguanas, chickens, tapirs, a monkey and a jaguar during my stay. I went by myself and made so many friends that I will remain in touch with. I cannot recommend this project enough! I will definitely be doing more projects with Worldwide vets in the future:)

The 10 day Safari Vet Internship course was the best experience of my life! I enjoyed every minute of it. Fabiola was amazing and helped so much throughout the course. Dr Peter and Brendan, the two vets, who allowed us to accompany them on their job gave me so much knowledge and so much opportunity to work on the wildlife animals. This trip really motivated me to work hard in my studies as i am a vet student and I will definitely be going back next year:)

When I decided to join this program, Sarah had made a zoom call appointment. From there she made sure I was helped with everything from the smallest of questions to what I airport i was going to. She had made sure that I was comfortable with everything.
Once I landed it was amazing the group all met at the airport they made sure we got a coffee and got to meet everyone after a long day of travel. The entire experience was incredible. We got to work on a rhino the very first day - 3 total - and they surprised us with so many cool opportunities, like working with hyenas and a crocodile. The group of 10 girls I had gone on the program with were absolutely incredible, we all became super close. The program itself was insane, or as Sarah says HECTIC! learning about poison and all the endangered animals of Africa, exploring the Kruger national park, seeing the animals at sable creek and the staff of livingstone letting us all work hands on with their animals. The vets were so educational, allowing for all of us to be hands on and right in the action. The group also made everything as fair as we could letting everyone have a turn. This entire trip was such an amazing experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life and I can’t wait for my next project:)

Had a amazing once in a lifetime experience in Peru. Riding past the most amazing scenery staying with a great family that made me feel so at home and part of. It's the second time I d booked through world widevets as. Solo traveller I know I can depend on them for help and support from them before and on my trip. Thanks!!

I started chatting with Bailey more than 6 months before departure. She was really kind and fastly responsive, gave me really precise information about the journey and the project (I'm beyond greatful for it). There, I felt so welcomed by the group and the staff. Although there is a huge language barrier, the vet team really tried its best to communicate with us, they were fond of answering all of our questions. They were also super nice, kind, and helpful. When I did not succeed with something (like taking blood), none of them got mad or irritated. Instead, they calmed me down with "It's O.K., try again". These words were the best thing for gaining confidence at practice.
The project also offers exursions. 5 min walk from the house, there is a lake and you can walk around it. 2 min walk from the house, there is a nice beach and the pool; which is a great relaxation after work or during weekends. The project also gives you enough of free time to explore Thailand. Food is very good and cheap, so we ate at the restaurants all the time (there is one 50m from the house, one 50m from the clinic). The dogs there are a completely different story from our dogs, so it is a learning experience on many different levels.

I had such an incredible experience at the Peru wildlife internship. I was there for four weeks and I met so many amazing people and go to work with a huge variety of animals. I learnt so much about Peru and the animals that live there. I would recommend this experience to everyone interested in wildlife and conservation!

As a first year vet student this was an incredible, immersive experience into the world of conservation and wildlife medicine. Everyone was lovely and incredibly knowledgeable, it was amazing to get hands on experience with the animals and to see what the daily life of a wildlife vet might look like. I only went for 2 weeks but would highly recommend going for longer.

Worldwide vets were incredibly helpful with the booking and arrangements and were able to answer all the questions I had very promptly. The team were very friendly and I had a great time on the project!

I had the most amazing time in Peru with the most amazing and dedicated people. The staff were really welcoming and love all of the animals they care for. I worked within the veterinary clinic along side Edmundo the veterinarian and he was the most knowledgeable wildlife vet I’ve met.
