Established that a Will had been fully paid for and it turned out to be invalid as it had not been fully completed and there was not any follow up by the Will Writers to ensure the Will had been correctly completed - when following up, was just palmed off to the solicitors as they had 'no record on file'

We have recently moved house and used Wilkinson Woodward for the conveyancing process for the sale and purchase.
Used is certainly the wrong word. All the staff at WW helped us through the process.
Ours was not a straightforward sale & purchase, as we needed to buy promptly and take out a bridging loan. This obviously complicates matters as there is also a bridging loan company to deal with and unavoidable communication issues.
I had initially sought advice from a partner about the process. Based on previous knowledge and advice from estate agents, the choice to go with WW was obvious.
All through the process, our enquiries were dealt with very quickly and the service felt personal. The price seemed too good to be true, given the sometimes inaccurate reputation that solicitors have for charging.
The process was not helped when our sale chain broke down, leading to more work on the sale. Reception staff were always helpful. The solicitors who dealt with contracts, etc, were thorough, efficient and approachable. I would highly recommend them.
In particular my thanks go to Andrew Crabtree and Melanie Leadbitter, along with all their support staff.

I am extremely disappointed with this firm of solicitors.
They acted for the purchaser of my flat in London and kept asking ludicrous questions which were totally unecessary throughout the whole process. At the last minute they insisted that I placed £500.00 on deposit with them in case there were any outstanding costs relating to the service charge. We did point out that the landlords had in fact just reimbursed for an overpayment of the charges! They wrote the terms of this rider that it would be refunded in full with interest before 1 year had passed if there were no outstanding bills. It is now 5 months over the 1 year they stipulated and still they haven't refunded me. They will not even talk with my lawyer
I have had to now resort to reporting them to the Ombudsman.

We called to ask about being taken on as conveyancing clients. The receptionist informed us someone would call back to discuss further. 24 hours later, no callback received. Poor customer service, if that is their standard of service then what will they be like during conveyancing. Went with another local firm who seem to want clients.

A delayed review as I was recently reminded how awful our conveyencing experience was which happened in the tail end of Covid. Hope they have improved. The trainee conveyancer did not appear supported or supervised appropriately in my case that involved a gifted deposit with significant delay processing for which I had to contact the head of conveyancing myself to try and expedite. Then a very strange experience of trying explain i needed to buy a house regardless of what my Covid exposure risk was. My recommendation is don’t use if you have any complexity in case or want to compete without stress

I am a landlord so familiar with buying and selling properties
If you want not slow but a VERY slow team to handle your property sale extremely uncooperative lack of interest who are happy to delay take all the time in the world can handle a very stressful experience then use them.
They could not care less
I was a seller of one of my properties most sales I have done in the past have been completed in 6 to 8 weeks these people took 16 weeks and that was where the buyers was constantly trying to get things moving they had all the paperwork they needed mid December but made sure to drag the sale into the New year
One Star is far to good for them if I could it would be minus 5*

These solicitors were very attentive and proactive with conveyancing for our house purchase and addressed our queries quickly. They used a real time tracking app and we had very regular updates of where we were in the process.

I sold my property through Woodwards recently. I constantly had to chase them for updates as to where we were and what was happening. Requests for updates never answered and got the general feeling when I called they could not wait to get me off the phone. Two weeks after completing I am still awaiting documentation from them. Would be easier to train for my own law degree than deal with them and the final insult was one hour after completion they sent me an e-mail asking for a five star review on here. REALLY!?.

Great service from the start. Made really easy by using online forms for signatures etc.
