Selling the jewellery of a dearly departed loved one was always going to be difficult, even though many years had now passed. Almost incredulously, Scott soon enough had me very relaxed, assured and even chuckling at a few anecdotes.

I’d found Windsor Goldsmiths on Google and nervously contacted them after reading the reviews. I was pleased to find myself arranging a home visit from Scott himself who had been named in the reviews.

Communication was excellent when I had to change our appointment and come the day he arrived at my house, I was instantly relaxed to find Scott warm and cheery. I had planned things so Scott would not be alone with my jewellery and we laughed about this with him assuring me he’d always ensure that wasn’t the case anyway.

Scott was sympathetic and caring too, mindful my items belonged to my late wife. The unrushed session ended with Scott giving me a valuation. He informed me we could seal the sale there and then or I could think about it as long as I liked - that I could contact him at a later date or - of course - simply keep my items. I felt no pressure at all.

I decided to sell as his valuation matched others I’d had and I simply found him warmer and more reassuring than the others - plus, I felt the process was safe and convenient in my own home. No worrying about carrying my items around various towns or cities. I’d been terrified of doing that.

I’d steeled myself for having to trust a process where my items were taken and I’d receive payment a few days later, but no! Scott transferred the money to me right there and I could see it in my account before he carefully and respectfully gathered up the items to take away with him.

For an event I’d always worried would be very harrowing indeed, I found myself remarkably relaxed - thanks to Scott’s manner, chat and knowledge. I may never have need for Scott’s services again but I’d not hesitate to tell family or friends to call him if they ever needed to sell any jewellery.

Scott was very professional and helpful when I wanted to sell some inherited jewellery and create a bespoke necklace using some of the silver and stones. I would not have worn the things I inherrited but love that they live on to be enjoyed in a new, beautiful necklace. The whole process from selling to receiving my new necklace was easy. I’d never done anything like this before, and what an experience it was. From the minute I sent the first message I knew I’d made the right choice. Scott came for a home visit, he was very understanding and confident and that made me feel so comfortable even though I was in my own home. He explained how things worked and how the prices were decided. Will definitely be coming back when I have any more jewellery and will be recommending to everyone I know.
