Wilderness Travel does an outstanding job with itineraries and permanent guides. With any travel company the first time you use them you are not sure what you are going to get. We had heard good things about Wilderness Travel and our first trip with them confirmed the favorable comments. We have travelled with them twice and signed up for a third adventure early next year. They are not the cheapest offering but we like what they provide.

Which are great itineraries, great permanent guide staffs, great accommodations, and wonderful food from wherever you are in the world.

Regardless of your planned trip the weather can impact the guides ability to follow an exact itinerary. On both of our previous trips, when foul weather prevented the exact itinerary execution the guides had excellent back-up plans that helped make the most of the bad situation.

The office trip planning and support staff are very good at helping you plan/pick the right trip for you.

Wilderness Travel has the best trips to the best places with the best available places to stay, the best food, the best cultural experiences, and the best guides. Most other guests on the trips are pretty good too.

We enjoyed our hiking trip in Montenegro. The guides were excellent - knowledgeable, helpful, and well-organized. The accommodations were good to great! The food and wine were locally sourced and added to the experience.

We did the Silk Road Trip by Golden Eagle train from Almaty to Moscow in April/May this year. It was a very unusual experience compared to what we were familiar with from Wilderness Travel. We got excellent support from WT during the sign-up and planning process. The trip management itself was entirely done by Golden Eagle staff and was absolutely outstanding. Everything on the train and all excursions during the stops were meticulously prepared and executed.

Wilderness Travel did a terrific job with our trip. The boat we were on for the Galapagos portion of our trip was fantastic. All of the guides we had were excellent and really knew their stuff.

Wilderness travel was AWESOME from beginning to end!

I am very pleased with our Wilderness travel adventure! We went to raja Ampat which is an archipelago of islands west of Papau New Guinea. the snorkeling and scenery was absolutely stunning. Our Guide and crew on the ship were first class. We had the most wonderful time! I would highly recommend this trip and the Wilderness travel organization!

I had thought WT's Wild Tasmania trip would be wonderful, but the reality exceeded even my very high expectations. The variety and beauty of the island was perfectly presented with first-rate itinerary, food and accommodations. And to be guided by someone and knowledgable and passionate about Tasmania as James Fuss is made the experience truly special. James and Stewart Wheelhouse brought all the elements together flawlessly and made everyone in our group feel very well cared for. Truly the trip of a lifetime!

Amazing Morocco
It was an amazing trip where we were able to see varied geography and cultures from the Medina of Fex to the Sahara Desert to the High Atlas Mountains to the large city of Marrakech and to a seaside town of Essouria. Two highlights for us were riding camels and staying in a tented camp in the Sahara and four-wheel backroading in the High Atlas Mountains. We were also able to see how Berber Nomads lived. The entire trip was so fun and interesting and we had a truly amazing guide, Mohammed. This was definitely a 5-star trip!

I loved everything about the trip, "Morocco: Camels to Casbahs", that I took last year.

Excellent pre-trip prep, excellent guides, excellent communication and service during the trip all served to make this the trip of a lifetime. Would recommend to every busy person for a no hassle vacation.

Excellent! My daughter and I went on the Wilderness Travel trip to Patagonia and it was incredible. Everything so well organized, all the guides so knowledgeable about the local wildlife and birds and the history of the area, wonderful accommodations. It was a trip of a lifetime.

My wife and I went on Safari in Tanzania in February 2019 with Wilderness Travel. It was a phenomenal trip and wilderness travel got the hundreds of big and little details right virtually every time. We were two of the thirteen people on he trip and I am confident that our assessment was shared across the board. The animal viewing was off the charts, the guides were great, the food and lodging were at the same standards. The eight nights that we spent in their tent camps were the highlight. We have no hesitation recommending wilderness travel with enthusiasm.
