We had an ice maker for 11 years but it stopped working. We called Whirlpool to have it repaired and they charged us over $750 but could not repair it. All they offered was a 20% discount. If we wanted to purchase another one which we found out at the stores they were discontinuing. I would never buy another Whirlpool or Jenn-Air appliance again.
I keep complaining about the noise…
I keep complaining about the noise coming from my fridge, but they keep sending technicians and nothing changes. I’ve already booked 3 service calls with no resolution. On top of that, every time they tell me the technician will arrive between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., but he ends up showing up at 5 p.m.
Kitchen Aid refrigerator with significant water leak 5 months after purchase...
My KitchenAid refrigerator has broken down less than 5 months from the purchase date. The part required to fix the water leak is unavailable and I was told that I need to wait an additional 10 days. Customer service representatives refused to transfer me to a manager despite my repeated requests. I told him that I wanted a replacement refrigerator since I fear ongoing issues especially after the warranty. He refused and ended the call.
RIP OFF ARTISTS ON SERVICE AND REPAIRS
I am so frustrated with this company. They send out a technician to repair my refrigerator and they replace the entire board - fully charging me for the board and the labour since it is out of warranty. 3 months later the exact same issue again. I contact the company and because I am a couple of days over the warranty on the new circuit board they installed, I have to pay again. Pay twice for the same service and the same product within 100 days. PATHETIC to say the least. Quite the scam they have going. Just repair the appliance so it lasts a few months.
Do not buy Whirlpool
I have a Whirlpool top load washer that is 2 years old and is broken already. And because I don't live in a major city and they can't find our address on their service map they won't send out a technician to diagnose it. A washing machine that's 2 years old and breaks, what a POS. This washing machine also sucked from day one. Got it because it had the agitator and though it would clean like grandma's old washer....boy was I wrong. Clothes came out dirtier. Any fuzzys or first would get stuck in the folds of clothes so I would have to only wash a couple pairs of jeans and shirts at a time. Do not buy this brand!

My customer recieved 2 hoses for washing machine. Wasn't able to get there for 7 days . One of the hoses was not ordered by me and could not be returned because of their 7 day return policy.

Bought a whirlpool fridge in 2022- Completely stopped working , even the bottom fridge. I was told false info by whirlpool extended warranty and purchased it being told if the fridge was not fixable.. the warranty will be 💯 refunded. Guy came out after 48 hours- told me the air inside my fridge was toxic from a leak in the fridge and also the compressor. Its would be a huge issue the fridge was a “fire hazard” and the guy burnt himself. He told me “not fixable” and also that even if so it would take 2-4 weeks!! It was a 4-8 hr job. After talking toWhirlpool. - the guys story changed and the fridge was fixable- in 2-4 weeks. !!!!???? This is UNRessonable!! I was also Told that people have 2 homes or 2 fridges so the policy works for the majority of people!! What the hell?

Never buy a whirlpool appliance
Never buy a whirlpool appliance. We have been waiting 4+ months for a repair. This is on extended warranty. Took them a couple months to just sent the repair guy. Haven’t heard anything since January.They will probably wait until the warranty is over then we will have to pay out of pocket for the repair. Worst service ever and worst appliances. When we first bought this dishwasher we waited months for a small part and we couldn’t even use the machine. They don’t even deserve one star!
They delivered a fridge that was broken…
They delivered a fridge that was broken and refused to compensate us for the food that went bad and the ice we were having to buy for our camping cooler. They made it out as if it was my fault for buying a faulty fridge. When I told them I wanted a refund instead of another one of their fridges they told me that only the cost of the item would be refunded, the shipping and environmental fees were non refundable.... Worst appliances off the floor hands…
Worst appliances off the floor hands down, bought a new dishwasher several months ago. It worked for a total of 25 days. They schedule their service man multiple times and nothing ever gets resolved. $850 right in the garbage. I highly recommend to completely steer clear of any whirlpool appliances, absolute SHIT appliances and services. I wouldn’t recommend my enemy to buy this equipment.
The service was very poor
The service was very poor. They charged $170 for a visit and quote that took less than five minutes. The email said I would receive a phone call the day before the visit, but I did not receive any call. Our refrigerator only had a small problem, yet they wanted to charge more than $500, not including the cost of parts. When I called customer service, their attitude was not very friendly either. I will not choose this brand for any appliances again.

Fragile Cooktop
We have a WP cooktop that is is less than a year old. A plastic water bottle cap dropped on it and it broke. Beware, very delicate and Whirlpool doesn't offer any support.
Whirlpool WTW4957PW0 do not buy
I bought the Whirlpool WTW4957PW0 top-load washer just two years ago, and it’s already broken. When I turn it on, it clicks and hums like it’s trying to spin, but it won’t operate properly and continuously sounds like it’s draining water. The control panel lights are dead, and it cannot complete any cycle.
I’ve tried all troubleshooting steps, including unplugging, lid resets, and tilting, but nothing works. A washer should not fail after only 2 years. This model has known issues with the actuator and control board, and it’s unacceptable for such an expensive appliance to break so soon.
I contacted Whirlpool Canada, but this failure demonstrates poor reliability. I cannot recommend the Whirlpool WTW4957PW0…..buyers beware if you expect a washer to last more than a couple of years.

2 weeks after we bought Whirpool washer WTW6157PW we had a major flood on our hands that caused water damage to our home. The water was gushing out of the washer so fast and in such high quantities, from the sides, from the bottom, everywhere! There was nothing we could do to stop it! When Whirlpool sent out a technician, they wanted to run the washer to diagnose the problem. This was not an option as it would cause another major flood and more water damage to our home, potentially costing thousands of dollars to repair. Whirlpool would not acknowledge this concern and refused to honour their warranty. I pleaded with Whirlpool customer service, Canadian Appliance Source customer service to help us, but neither would take any action. They have their sale, that's all they care about. On top of that, they are charging us for having their repair man come to our home and do absolutely nothing.
We also learned the likely cause of the problem is a burst internal hose caused by the neglect of our installer. After some research, I discovered that after an install of a washer on a cold day, the washer needs to warm up to room temperature before running. Not doing this can cause the internal hoses to crack. On the day of install, the first thing our installer did was run the washer; this action cracked an internal hose. After a few uses, the internal hose burst, causing the major flood.
Canadian Appliance source is no better, they did nothing at all to help their customer. We also bought a Whirlpool dryer; we are removing it from out home and replacing both the Washer and Dryer with LG brand (not buying from Canadian Appliance Source).
BE WARNED EVERYONE! STAY AWAY FROM WHIRPOOL and CANADAIAN APPLIANCE SOURCE!

Hi i bought new wash machine from the brick in cornwall no help at all. 17 days latter it was fixed and now working no thanks to the brick in cornwall. Now i call Whirlpool canada customer service and they wont answer their. Not a good company. dont buy anything from whirlpool they dont answer the phone to help you so sad. High price for poor quality.
I’m actually embarrassed to have to give a bad review here but I hope this can help save some people from making the same mistakes I have made. I did my research online of their products and shopped about and spoke to different sales people. May 2023 I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Rona. Three months later it stopped working. After calling them they sent a technician from Trans Global. Two weeks later he said he had to order a part and would be back in a week. We set up appointment but he never showed up. Being so frustrated I called Rona and asked them to take care of this seeing I bought the product from them and not Whirlpool. Rona was very sympathetic and replaced my dishwasher two days later.
February 04/2026 the dishwasher stopped working. Seen him passed the one year mark. I did purchase an extended warranty and all I’m getting is a constant runaround from this warranty company who still as of now has not even come to look at it yet.
November 1, 2024 it came time to buy a washing machine. I went back to Rona because they were so good with dealing with my dishwasher. The sales agent recommend me to buy whirlpool instead of Maytag because whirlpool owns Maytag but they use better parts in their whirlpool machines so I bought the top of the line whirlpool and it stopped working January 3, 2026. Again, I passed the one year. And bought the extended warranty again and also get in a constant runaround from this. Comerco warranty company they deal with company called Trans Global service. They are also just giving me the run around as of today February 24 /2026 I’ve been without my Maytag dishwasher and my whirlpool washing machine going back to January 3 . Three out of five my major appliances are made by whirlpool, but I don’t see anymore in the future. Lessons I’ve learned not to buy whirlpool products and definitely do not buy the extended warranty if Comerco and Trans Global have to honour it.
New washer broke down twice - will not exchange
Ordered online: a whirlpool (Inglis) washer and dryer from the Brick and was directed to the Brick KIRKLAND. Paid an additional $300 for a full extended warranty - full coverage - end December 2025. Machines were delivered to my home January 16 2026. Washer BROKE DOWN on January 28 2026, 12 days after it was delivered. Instead of replacing it with a new one, the Brick directed me to call a repair service (whirlpool 1 800 807-6777). Lost an entire weekend of usage - laundry was backlogged. Repairman arrived on Monday Feb 2 - had to take time off work to accommodate the repair. Yesterday, the machine broke down again. Called and emailed the Brick requesting the machine be replaced. I was told by Fahima Ahmed that the policy I purchased only covers the machine for an exchange IF the issue occurs within 48 hours of delivery?? I was directed to call whirlpool once more. Today, Saturday February 7th, 2026, I call the 1 800 807 6777 and receive a message indicating that the service department can only be reached during the week during my regular work hours 8-5EST. I have to take time during my work hours to call them, yet again, and then likely take yet more time off to allow for the repair man to come by again. THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN IN MY HOME FOR LESS THAN 1 MONTH. The Brick claims it is up to Whirpool, and the Whirlpool service department claims it is up to the Brick whether to replace it or not. What kind of scam is this? This is a brand new major appliance. Why should I settle for a machine that has required several repairs - that is not what I paid money for - I paid for a new machine in working order ? Incredibly crooked operation at the Brick and Whirlpool - I want a new machine - and who will cover all the time I have lost unable to do any laundry, calling, emailing, waiting for repair men? This is NOT ok. If they think they can keep closing their eyes pretending it's not happening, and that I will simply go away they should think again. WHIRLPOOL step up and do the right thing.
