Being a first time buyer, the whole process of a mortgage and buying a house was a complete unknown and daunting idea to me. A friend recommended Amanda Perry of West End Mortgages and after a brief phone call she completely put my mind at ease. Throughout the process Amanda helped me in every aspect of the purchase. She explained everything clearly and her communication throughout was second to none. Nothing was too much hassle for her. Even when the plans of getting a mortgage on my own changed to getting a joint mortgage with a friend, she had the results of how much we could borrow back to us in hours,
Amanda also recommended solicitor's to use, and her colleague Hannah Lawtey was also amazing and helped us with our buildings and contents insurance. The whole process from offer to completion only took 5 weeks, and that was solely down to her tenacious work and chasing people up which she didn't have to do.

West End Mortgages made the process of remortgaging effortless. I was originally going to go directly with a lender but am so glad I consulted with Jol as he made me aware of some important money-saving points which I would not have considered without his knowledge and experience. I had always chosen products based on the interest rate but application fees, terms and Early Redemption Charges are equally important and should be considered carefully before choosing a mortgage. My options were communicated in a very clear way and I really liked the fact that everything was taken care of for me once I’d made my decision, very refreshing indeed!

Took away all the pain of finding a mortgage in a challenging circumstance. I'm self employed and and recently moved into a PAYE role, which made the process very complex. But we managed to get a great mortgage and secured the property at ridiculous speed. Thank you so much! Highly recommended

Exceptional service. Jol and the team were supportive and responsive throughout. Buying a house is incredibly stressful but they really made this so much easier, taking time to explain and carefully walk us through the issues - they were always there at the end of the phone and incredibly fast to answer emails. I have dealt with other Mortgage companies before, but this was by far the best. Could not recommend more highly. We will definitely use again and I have recommended to friends who are in the process of buying.

West End Mortgages have been fantastic in supporting us through the process of finding and applying for a mortgage (+ buildings and life insurance) for our new home. We had complicated needs as Covid had interrupted life and work somewhat in the run up to us looking to move, but Amanda found an excellent product for us that enabled us to get more from our budget and thankfully - as we were getting close to the stamp duty holiday cut off - had a really brilliantly quick approvals process. Getting a mortgage turned out to be the easiest part of our purchase (surpringsly!) and we felt very well supported throughout the whole process.
