Low ball offer
A low ball offer killed the deal. They apparently didn’t want my car and should have said that instead of insulting me. CarMax bought the car for a lot more then we don’t buy any car.

We are looking to gain clarity as to how our team member required you bring the 1989 Ford Mustang in for an appraisal before giving a valuation, but then simultaneously provided a valuation that was a fraction of what CarMax offered. We need to understand this better so we can address your concerns.
We do routinely meet and sometimes beat competitors’ offers. If you had an offer from CarMax, we would have done everything possible to earn your business. We record all calls for quality and training purposes and would be happy to pull the recording to better understand what occurred.
Unfortunately, with the limited information available, I can’t find a record of you in our system.
