Experience was subpar due to website price
Website user experience was subpar. It asks for disclosure of all known issues then provides a price. The price provided is for a car with no issues or damage - so why ask for issues in the first place? I was up front so why did you do a soft bait and switch on the price?
Manager on duty was great; the only bright spot of the transaction. Since I already wasted my time getting there and went through all the motions, I decided to sell the car to them anyway. Probably be the last time.

We take allegations of “bait and switch” very seriously. Bait and switch is an illegal and immoral business practice and it absolutely does not occur at webuyanycar.com. Our goal is to provide a transparent and fair appraisal process for every customer.
Our online valuation tool is designed to give an estimate based on the information provided by the customer. It’s not a firm offer, and a physical inspection is always required to confirm the vehicle’s actual condition. You disclosed a dent on the door during your online appraisal, and we appreciate your honesty. However, during our professional in-person appraisal, we found additional issues that were beyond what we consider fair wear and tear for a vehicle of this age and mileage:
• Dent on the Fender
• Dent on the Quarter
• Multiple deep dents on the passenger side doors
• Oxidation on the Hood
We also ran an OBD-II diagnostic scan and found the following fault code:
• P0420 – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
These findings impacted the final valuation. We always invite our customers to join us during the appraisal so they can see what we see and ask questions throughout the process.
We’re especially pleased to hear that the manager on duty provided excellent service and was a bright spot in your experience. Delivering outstanding customer care is a top priority for us, and we’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to them.
