Waste of time
Entered in my VIN for my online estimate with no problem and an offer I was willing to accept. After traveling to their location to meet in person, their offer was significantly lower than initially estimated. They claimed my vehicle had gone down in price the second time they entered the VIN number? Makes sense. Convenient for them. Huge waste of time for me.

What we regret is that the gap between the online figure and the in-person valuation landed on you as a "Convenient for them" experience rather than the straightforward process it was on our end. Our team in Fridley handled the appointment in good faith with the numbers our pricing review had produced, and we should have walked you through the trim correction before you made the drive rather than at the door. When you provided the VIN on our website, it prompted you to select the correct trim level for the Jeep, as that information was not available in our VIN database. You were presented with two options: Summit Hybrid and Summit Reserve Hybrid. You selected Summit Reserve Hybrid, which is the more valuable of the two trims. The initial estimate was based on that selection, so it reflected the value of a Summit Reserve Hybrid rather than the Summit Hybrid you actually own.
Our pricing team reviewed the vehicle and pulled a CARFAX report to verify the trim, and the window sticker included in the report confirmed the mismatch. These are two different vehicles: the Summit Reserve Hybrid comes standard with a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, Palermo leather, massaging front seats, a head-up display, night vision with pedestrian and animal detection, 21-inch wheels, and an advanced driver-assistance package. None of those features are included on the Summit Hybrid, and the original MSRP gap between the two trims was approximately $5,000 at new.
Where we fell short was at the branch. The mismatch was identified by our pricing team and highlighted to the team in the branch, who should have addressed this with you. You shouldn't have made the drive expecting the original estimate to stand. That is a procedural failure on our part, and we apologize.
We have logged a formal complaint on your behalf. The Area Manager responsible for our team in Fridley, MN is investigating and will be reaching out to you directly to discuss your experience and find a way to restore your faith in webuyanycar.com. A deal made right.
I wrote a previous review for we buy any car. In my previous review I explained how unhappy I was with the way the appointment that I made wasn't adhered to and with the appointment being delayed, I wasn't able to negotiate because I had other appointments later on that day. After explaining my displeasure with the way my deal had been handled. I thought, that's it, that's the end of my business with we buy any car.
But within a couple of days of writing my review, I was contacted by a gentleman from we buy any car apologizing for and wanting to know what happened that made me write the bad review. I explained the situation and he wanted to " make things right ". He was very sincere and genuine in his to make sure I was happy with the deal we worked out.
I will never hesitate to work with we buy any car.com when I need to sell a vehicle. A very solid and honest company that wants to make their customers happy 😊
