Federal and state tax refunds typically peak between mid-February and early April, and that influx of cash drives a meaningful spike in used-car demand. Buyers who have been holding off on a purchase use that money to move forward, which lifts prices across the board for several weeks. Looking at the timing, your previous visit was approximately one month ago, in mid-March — right at the height of that tax-refund-driven demand and the optimal window to sell. Once that demand cools, prices soften across the market, and they soften fastest for older vehicles with documented reconditioning needs, because the buyer pool for those vehicles narrows considerably outside peak season. Broader market conditions over the past month have only added to that softening.
That said, we understand how frustrating it is to hear two different numbers from us, even with a market explanation behind it. Our team should have walked you through this context more fully so you understood exactly why the offer had moved between visits. Beware. Don’t waste your time with the process of selling your vehicle to who I call them “we steal any car. When you go online for their valuation, My car quote was around 2,600. After inspection of my vehicle which he said my car was great after he test drove it. He offered me 100.00 dollars . Yes . One hundred, I laughed myself out of the building. I thought I was being punked on camera. What a joke. They are stealing people cars and ripping them off.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your visit to our Bedford Heights, OH location. We take your comments very seriously and want to address your concerns directly.
First, we want to clarify that our records indicate the final offer presented to you was considerably higher than the figure described in your review. Our team escalated the valuation to maximize the offer based on the vehicle's condition, and we regret if there was any miscommunication during that process.
We also want to address your comment that our buyer said your vehicle was "great" after driving it. Our appraisal documentation tells a very different story, and we are reviewing the appointment to ensure our team communicated the findings clearly and professionally.
Our online valuation is based on the information provided by the customer. In this case, our records show that specific vehicle damage was not entered during the online valuation process. The final offer reflected the verified condition of the vehicle after a professional, in-person appraisal.
Our professional appraisal identified 17 physical and cosmetic issues that were not reflected in the online estimate, including:
• Hood rust
• Tailgate/trunk lid rust
• Rear bumper scratched
• Rocker panel rust on both sides
• Jack damage to rocker panels on both sides
• Driver side front seat damaged
• Driver side rear seat damaged
• Driver side front door scratched
• Driver side front fender scratched
• Passenger side front door scratched
• Passenger side rear door scratched
• All four alloy wheels damaged
Upper engine noise was also detected during the inspection.
Additionally, the vehicle's history report verified through Experian revealed multiple prior accidents:
• 10/7/2015 — Collision with a fixed object (tree) in Rockland County, NY (State Agency)
• 8/6/2022 — Rear impact with another vehicle in Macedonia, OH (State Agency, Police Report)
• 8/16/2022 — Accident or damage reported in Streetsboro, OH (Damage Report)
These findings have a direct impact on a vehicle's resale value and required an adjustment from the online estimate to the final offer.
