Was offered a job with one of the W'spoons on the South-East coast. Manager wanted me to sign a blank contract (no pay and no minimum hours stated, despite the contract itself referring back to "as agreed above"), saying I had undertaken training and knew where fire exits were etc (I hadn't and I didn't). When I refused, the manager became abusive and rude. I walked out. Dreadful place.

I am a regular at this Sandgate, , Weatherspoons and given it good reviews in the past . Yesterday the queue was 15 persons waiting to be served yes it was very busy . I waited 20 mns to be served and today with a photo of the pub , not busy yet there is still a long queue and 4 of craft beers exhausted in supply. There were about 6 servers to tables , one manager and ONE barman serving . Serious problem of management and staffing levels . Why? This useless Trustpilot labelled this as womenswear!!! This is now an edit!

Wetherspoons 'Moon Under Water' Milton Keynes was a nightmare on Friday evening at 18h00 (14 Aug 2026). Walked in and virtually every table was packed with dirty plates and glasses. Had to clear a table for myself and 3 friends using my own wet-wipes and towelettes. I then used the Wetherspoons app to order drinks and there was a long delay in getting them delivered to our table!! The management of this establishment is non existent. Very sad!

Where are my mushy peas I ordered them and a glass of milk over an hour ago my wife is tamping it’s date night and she’s hungry you’ve completely ruined our night

Just visited their new Hessle pub. That was once too many times.
Drinks bar service.Disorganised and chaotic with the staff either running around like headless chickens trying to find their products. Ignoring people queuing up in an orderly manner and serving a very narrow tunnel vision view of the people coming in from the door. My Temu cloak of invisibility worked perfectly on this occasion. Stocks of childrens drinks had totally run out and the bar staff were lacking in leadership and direction. 20 minutes for 4 standard drinks is a little excessive for a fully staffed bar. We were going to eat but planned on eating that night which seemed unlikely as my wife and daughter were frequently passed over in the 20 minutes they waited by the all female bar staff concentrating on flirting with any male in trousers who happened to be in the general area of the order point.
Point to develop. Staff training and development.
Will I return. If there is an ice age in Hell possibly.
Would I recommend. Yes to people I really hate.
Its a competitive world and they deserve to fail.

I went to weatherspoons in Beaconsfield today with my assistance dog and was promptly asked for proof of this as is totally understandable which I provided in full as was told this was fine . Within five minutes of siting down with my friend and starting to enjoy our very reasonably priced drinks I was approached by a very aggressive manager that had no idea of personal space and demanded to show the proof I had provided previously I then replied saying give me a minute and I have no problem showing him again though I was slightly perplexed by this as surely after showing this I should not be further challenged for this ?. Anyway to cut a long story short he was so insistent that I showed him again instantly an argument insued when I said give me a minute and I will show you and he decided that I was to aggressive to him and said even if I show him now I am barred and to finish my drink and leave before I could even show him my proof for a second time this is no acceptable , anyone asking for proof of exemption should know what they are looking at and after saying this is fine should be polite and curtious to their customer as they would to any other customer . I am very disappointed with the what claimed to be the manager in the Beaconsfield branch today and feel the discrimination shown to me today does not bode well for the company moving forward . Wetherspoons Blackpool...Albert and the lion...food was good but it started to rain and some people came in with Primark bags and just sat on the steps inside causing an obstruction and tripping hazard none of the staff said or did anything in fact some walked round them....health and safety certainly an issue in this pub...

Dined at Weatherspoons The Playfair in Edinburgh and one meal came out cold. When we brought this to the servers attention it was heated in the microwave and the gravy had gone lumpy. Chips with the fish and chips came out cold and there were about 10 on the plate. Batter on the fist was too crispy and overdone. Small portions, dissatisfied overall.

⭐ Absolutely appalling experience
I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Wetherspoons. We were treated completely unacceptably after we had already paid for our food. We were made to leave, and the way staff behaved towards us was shocking.
What made the situation even worse was witnessing an elderly person being treated abusively, along with an incident involving a dog being kicked. This behaviour was completely unacceptable and deeply upsetting to witness.
Customers should be treated with basic dignity and respect, regardless of the circumstances. After paying for our food, we certainly did not expect to be treated in this manner.
I hope Wetherspoons takes this complaint seriously and investigates exactly what happened. We will not be returning.

Hi,
Today I visited The Ice Wharf Camden.
Having ordered a double vodka lime and soda the server used her bare fingers to add a slice of lime to the drink. I challenged her on this and the drink was eventually replaced. I then drew the manager’s attention to this practice who assured me he would ensure all the staff were aware of this issue.
Subsequently my wife ordered another drink of the same nature and again the fruit was added with bare fingers. She felt unable to complain as she saw that the fruit in the serving bowl was firstly being added with bare hands by another member of staff.
DO NOT DRINK HERE.

It seems apparent that Staff can use their political beliefs to not serve people. This is outrageous in this day and age. The owner needs to do something about this

less than £7 easy to order at table with app.
How on earth do they do it , a glass of wine in other places costs more than £7
However the staff were appalling, the female waitress serving us never smiled she clearly hated her job, she dumped plates and drinks on table no words not even enjoy your meal or do you need anything else didn, t even come back to check if all ok.
i have had better smiling friendly service at motorway truck stops in the laybys.
no excuse whatsoever it was busy but not overly busy.
we usually go to the cross gates lees branch ,the staff there are tremendous professional and helpful.
suggest she get another job but not in the service industry, I have been in minimum wage jobs but still manage to smile and help people. Disgraceful.
I made a point of saying thank you to her on the way out it seemed to put her off guard

My experience with this pub has been a wonderful right from day one,the food and drinks is affordable and good at the same time,can you beat the idea of paying 1.89.00 for coffee and refill throughout the day,common on you cannot beat that value especially for cofee lover like me. Space will not permitt me to write here all the cool stuffs. The nice nature of the staffs,always ready to go the extra mile especially the staffs in Lewisham,woolwich and croydon weatherspoons are wonderful and beautiful at the same time GREAT SERVICE.
IT IS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR ME ALL THE WAY.

Visited Weatherspoon's, motherwell, THE BRANDON WORKS, very good selection of food and drink at very good value, good drinks promotion with food also, ofriendly staff, very popular place with lots of locals using it, recommended !!!

I chose TheHumphrey Bean because it offered carparking I drove in the car park is at the back of the premises, I ask a member of staff who the parking works and he told me to put a pound in the machine and I did think that was on the 7may I went o a extended holiday and return on the 25th of June and I found among mail a a parking fine for been parked for 15min extra! That's right I have tried to get in touch with the company euro car parks but there was no way I could speak to a member of parking firm basically pay the fine or go to court and pay a lot more money .Thanks a alot to the staff at Wetherspoons for the information

Ordered sticky Korean fried Chicken bowl at Bexhill Wetherspoons. Food arrived cold and beer didn’t turn up. Then saw it sitting on the bar with a ticket with my table number on it. Went and collected it myself. No one checked if the food was ok. Not expecting greatness, but at least the food should be hot.

Today, I hosted a military veterans breakfast at Wetherspoons Andover. One of the veteran’s suffers from complex PTSD and has an officially registered service dog. This veteran was turned away and refused entry despite Wetherspoons policy of allowing registered service dogs and the veteran being able to show the fact. The manager showed zero empathy, didn’t behave in a professional manner, becoming quite aggressive. In a discussion on the matter the manager became quite aggressive and I drew the conclusion that he had a deep dislike for the Armed Forces and military veterans.

Update, after contacting JD Wetherspoon’s corporate office, the didn’t have the courtesy to reply. I also contacted customer service complaints and I’m still waiting for a response.

It is clear JD Weatherspoon’s do not like serving or veterans and I urge anyone who supports our armed forces to Ed and veterans to boycott their pubs.

Ordered chicken jalfrezi and boneless chicken basket at Jollies Broughty Ferry, both dishes of food not warm on arrival, ordered garlic nan received normal nan that was like cardboard, very poor, avoid this place.

The sauce/dip that came with the Jacket Potato and Beans and salad - went to enquire what were ingredients 3 different staff members were asked - none bothered to make sure I got the answers: one said look on the
ingredients board - info not there, another said "no idea", another said "can't advise people what to eat". The food was decent, portions a bit small.
