Hi,

We’re sorry to hear that the watch you received wasn’t what you were hoping for.

We do want to clarify, however, that our Mystery Drops are not designed so that every individual box contains a watch worth the amount paid. The watches are randomly allocated, and the drops contain a mixture of affordable, vintage and luxury pieces. Because of that, some customers will receive watches worth considerably more than their box price, while others will receive a more affordable piece.

We are very open about this before every drop. We show the watches going into the drop across our videos, social media and email updates, including both the more affordable watches and the higher-value pieces. We also clearly explain that receiving a particular value, brand, age or movement type is not guaranteed.

We understand that receiving a Timex when you were hoping for something more valuable was disappointing, but this is the element of chance that is explained as part of the Mystery Drop before purchase.

We’re always happy to look at any individual concern, so if you send us your order number, we can check the watch you received and the details of your order.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience with your first Mystery Watch Drop. We completely understand your disappointment, particularly regarding the condition of the watch you received.

All of our watches should be cleaned and prepared before being sent out, so if your Sekonda arrived dirty or not up to the standard we expect, this is something we’d like to look into straight away. Please contact our customer support team with your order details and some photos of the watch, and we’ll get this resolved for you.

In terms of the Sekonda itself, we are very clear that second-hand Sekonda watches are included within our Mystery Watch Drops. Before each drop, we publish a video showcasing the brands included within each category. This is linked directly on our website, emailed to everyone on our mailing list and shared across our social channels. Sekonda is also mentioned within the relevant product descriptions, and our product photos and FAQs explain that the watches are mystery items and that the minimum watch value is stated in the FAQs.

We appreciate that the watch you received may not have been what you were hoping for, but we never want anyone to feel that they have been misled about what our Mystery Watch Drops contain.

We’re genuinely sorry that your first experience with us has been disappointing, and we’d really appreciate the opportunity to look into the condition of the watch and put this right where we can.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the watch you received. We completely understand that receiving a watch you wouldn’t personally have chosen can be frustrating, but we do want to clarify how our Mystery Watch Drops work.

Sekonda is not a hidden or undisclosed brand. It is one of the brands included within our drops and has been clearly shown as a possible outcome before customers purchase. For every drop, we release a full brand showcase video showing the brands included in each category. This is linked directly on our website, emailed to our waitlist and shared across our social channels, so customers can see the range of possible outcomes before purchasing.

We also clearly explain on our website, product descriptions and FAQs that the watches are pre-owned and that individual watches can vary significantly in resale value. We do not state that every watch will be worth the price paid. In fact, our FAQs specifically explain that some watches can have a secondary-market value of around 10% of the box price, while other watches can be worth considerably more.

We absolutely respect that the mystery format may not be for everyone, and we’re sorry it wasn’t the experience you were hoping for. However, we strongly disagree with the suggestion that customers are being scammed. The possible brands, the mystery format and the potential variation in individual watch values are all explained before purchase.

We appreciate you giving Watch Harbor a try, and we’re always happy to discuss your individual order with you directly if there is anything you feel we should look into.

We do want to clarify a couple of points, as we feel your review may give a slightly misleading impression of how the Mystery Watch Drops work. The drops are not advertised as containing exclusively mechanical watches. We include a mixture of quartz, mechanical and automatic watches across the drops, and the brands and types of watches included are shown in our showcase videos before each drop. We also provide information about what customers can expect through our FAQs and product information.

The concept is, of course, based on the element of surprise. Some customers receive watches that are worth considerably more than the price they paid, while others will receive watches at the lower end of the range. That variation is an intentional part of the mystery format, rather than every box being guaranteed to contain a particular type, brand or value of watch.

We’re also sorry that one of the mechanical watches you received was not keeping time correctly. Every Mystery Watch comes with our warranty, specifically so that if a watch arrives with an issue, we have the opportunity to put it right. We completely understand that you may not feel it is worth the inconvenience of returning it, but we would always encourage customers to contact us rather than simply keeping a faulty watch. We are more than happy to assist where something isn't working as it should.

We absolutely understand that the Mystery Watch concept won't be for everyone, and we respect that you have decided it isn't something you want to continue with. However, we strongly disagree with the suggestion that customers should expect little from their purchases. We have customers who have been with us for many drops and have received watches from brands including Omega, TAG Heuer, Longines and Cartier, alongside the more affordable pieces that are also necessary to make the mystery format possible.

There is no requirement for customers to participate, and we always encourage people to read the FAQs and watch the preview content before deciding whether the concept is right for them.

We’re disappointed that the experience hasn't been what you hoped for, but we appreciate you giving Watch Harbor a try and taking the time to leave your feedback.

Hi, we’re sorry you’re disappointed with the watch you received, but we do need to clarify that Watch Harbor is not a scam and we are very transparent about how our Mystery Drops work, we have been including Casio's for 13 months now as affordable options. They have to be in the mix to make this possible and we talk about that in so many videos.

We make it very clear that not every customer will receive a Rolex, Omega or another luxury watch. That would be impossible.

Before every drop opens, we show all of the brands included in each category. Casio is shown in our content, mentioned throughout our website and included within the product descriptions, so customers can see the range of brands they could receive before purchasing.

We also completely disagree that the watches have “no merit” or are sourced from Temu. Every watch included in our drops is selected, inspected and tested by our team before being packaged.

The whole concept of the Mystery Drop is that there is a wide range of watches included, from affordable pieces such as Casio through to vintage and luxury watches. We understand that you’re disappointed you didn’t receive one of the higher-value pieces, but we are very clear about the range of possible brands before anyone chooses to purchase.

We’re sorry to hear you’ve been disappointed, and we completely understand your frustration, particularly as the watch arrived not working.

We always do our best to respond as quickly as possible, but our team was out of the office until around 5pm today, so there was unfortunately a delay in getting back to you.

We absolutely agree that receiving a watch with a dead battery isn’t acceptable. All of our watches are covered by a 3-month warranty, and we would have been more than happy to arrange a repair for you completely free of charge.

However, we can see that a full refund has now already been issued so we hope that resolves the issue for you.

With regards to the Mystery Drop itself, we’re always very clear about the minimum values and what can be included in each drop. The watches are intentionally a mystery, and the Chronograph Drop does not guarantee a particular brand or model.

We’re certainly not looking to leave anyone feeling ignored or disappointed, and we’re sorry that your experience has left you feeling this way. We hope the refund brings the matter to a satisfactory conclusion.

I can see you sent an email on Saturday which we responded too on Saturday aswell. I have now tried to call you twice and sent 3 messages via text to try and get this resolved

Edit: We have tried to contact Martin multiple times now and he will not respond to our team at all.
