From the moment myself and my husband…
Here is an edited review maybe I was a bit harsh but the shop manager is not the guy I would employ if you want to sell watches ! He made us feel really uncomfortable ! Maybe one horrible is enough and as for coming back in no thanks we will stick with Goldsmiths who know how to treat customers ! And I don’t need a pouch I wear my watch thanks !

Firstly, thank you for talking the time to write a review. The person you are referring to is the shop manager. I am sorry you have left feeling the way you have as I can assure you he is a friendly, enthusiastic watch fanatic who as you rightly mention “does not own a Rolex” but does have a vast knowledge on the brand and many other brands we sell. I feel there must have been a breakdown in communication here as we haven’t received such comments in the past and I can vouch for him being far from a “horrible, horrible man”. The girl you mentioned had only started working for us that day and she definitely is allowed to speak but perhaps she was a little nervous having only being at work in a new role a few hours. If you are ever in Whitby again it would be nice if you pop in and give us another try, we would be happy to give you a complimentary Watches Of Whitby watch pouch to show we aren’t all bad and our manager can prove he isn’t a monster.
EDIT- If you could kindly email me at sales@watchesofwhitby.com explaining why you were made to feel uncomfortable it would be much appreciated. As mentioned if you do ever have a change of heart and decide to pop in we would be happy to see you both again and a glass of bubbly is on the house if you don't need a pouch. We are a small independent family business and 1 star reviews can be damaging to us so I am keen to rectify this if you would let me.

Hones down to earth honest retailer.
I purchased a Rolex “Pepsi” from Watches of Whitby a few months ago. From the initial enquiry to final purchase the staff were nothing but professional and helpful. The watch was as described on the website the price was competitive. I will certainly purchase from WOW again recommend them to anyone who is new to the luxury watch world as they offer a down to earth and honest opinion unlike many other luxury watch dealers I have dealt with in the past. A solid five stars from me.

Went down on an afternoon all the way from Newcastle for a Tudor S&G and couldn’t be happier. Watch is class, good price, and the team were dead canny. Always keeping an eye on the Instagram for my next purchase 😂

I have purchased three watches from Watches of Whitby and have been very impressed in all my dealings with them. Immediate responses to my enquiries, competitive pricing, accuracy of the detailed descriptions and continual updates during the whole purchase and despatch process has led them to become my No 1 Preferred Supplier !

What can I say, I have been dealing with WOW for some time now, I can’t recommend them enough, a fantastic team, amazing stock as described and you feel part of the WOW world, I’ve bought watches for decades and I only deal with WOW nowadays. If you have a part ex they won’t rip you off, dip your toes in, it’s a great experience! #WOW

Have bought two watches from them now, a Rolex and an Omega, both are beautiful watches, from walking in the shop the staff are so helpful and polite, the shop is smart and high end with a fantastic selection of high end watches to suit most budgets.
I would definitely recommend them.

A really great customer experience with lovely people.
Whilst on holiday in Whitby I spotted Watches of Whitby. On entering the staff were really friendly and helpful. So much so that I bought an owned Beirtling watch. The staff we so helpful and friendly with no pushy sales talk. Even offered us a cup of tea. The watch is fantastic . The experience was great and we were even asked to call in for a cup of tea next time were were in Whitby.
