Lovely watch
I got the watch I wanted, despite it being discontinued, at a significantly discounted price. Watch beautiful and perfect. But… watch buyers could do better on the customer comms. It would have been better if they had proactively told me how long my watch would take to arrive. When I rang their number to find out, they sounded very surprised to get a call, like they were answering a home phone, and generally a bit unprofessional so I worried where my deposit had gone! In the event, it was all fine.

Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service. Bought a Cartier tank solo for my wife's birthday. The watch was losing time I returned it to watchbuyersuk they repaired the watch and had the ordasity to charge me £140 even though the watch broke within a year .. the watch has broken AGAIN. This time I've asked for my money back under the consumer rights act 2015 .. I will keep you updated . Do not buy from this company .

In March 2020, you contacted us about the watch losing time. We ran through some troubleshooting steps with you which seemed to alleviate the problems. However, in April 2020 you said the problems had returned so we offered to inspect the watch further to diagnose any issues. You sent the watch to us in June, and when it arrived, we were surprised to find the watch in a very poor condition, and certainly not how it left us, including signs of water ingress. We understand fully and expect that watches are to be worn daily but the state of the watch was not in line with one that left us just 6 months prior. Water ingress should not be possible unless the back had been removed or the watch had been worn around water with the crown pulled out. As mis-use is not covered under our warranty, or any manufacturers warranty, we had to unfortunately pass on the charge. As discussed at the time, we were happy to do this at cost opposed to a full charge in the interest of goodwill. You replied “You can progress .but the watch has never been in water .my wife has always taken it off when she baths” However, the photos clearly show where water has been present and has stained the dial.
After delays in parts arriving due to Coronavirus, we sent the watch back to you fully repaired in August 2020. In September 2020, you emailed again to say that the watch had “gained 45 minutes in a week” and that you wanted a full refund. We offered to collect the watch free of charge via UPS to again inspect the watch and go from there as we have to diagnose a fault before anything else. However, you then called the store, to say that you did not want the watch returned and again said that you wanted a refund. A member of staff explained that we have to inspect the watch before we can do anything. You then called him a ‘squirmy c**t’ and that if he didn’t refund the watch then you would come to the shop and ‘wring his f**king neck’ before hanging up. Even after this, he still offered to collect the watch free of charge via email. You said that you would send the watch at your own cost and that you would then come to the store on Saturday, presumably to carry out on your threat. We’ve not seen you in store yet but even threats of violence towards members of staff will not be tolerated. Perhaps you were just trying to scare us to get your own way. However, the watch has arrived and has been undergoing our stringent time tests for 4 days now and the watch has kept perfect time.
We are always happy to help customers if they have a problem, whatever the situation. We appreciate that watches are designed to be worn daily, and that they are highly tuned mechanical instruments, and as such even with the best will in the world, even a brand new Rolex can develop a fault. However at the same time, it is because of this that they must be treated with respect.
Despite your threats, we're still happy to help, but we might be a little happier had you been respectful to the member of staff trying to help and not been so offensive, threatening, and seemingly leaving bad reviews to try and force our hand.

This was my first time buying a watch online, and I couldn’t be happier. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and I was kept fully up-to-date throughout. When spending a large amount of money on an item it’s important that you have confidence in the company you’re dealing with, and I couldn’t recommend Watch Buyers highly enough - in fact, I have just recommended them to a friend of mine that is also looking to buy his first Omega watch. The watch I bought was the Omega Seamaster Diver, and I was able to get it at a very competitive price. The watch was brand new and came with the full 5-Year Omega Warranty for added security. Thanks again for making my first experience of buying a watch online such a pleasant one, I’ll definitely be coming back to you guys for my next watch purchase!

We’re sorry that you feel as though we wasted your time.
The photos that you sent us included an image of the warranty card with information redacted. We’re used to seeing photos like this where people have covered up information for the image to send out to dealers or list online themselves. This is exactly how it looked in the photos that you sent. We were very surprised when it arrived in store that someone had actually defaced and completely scribbled over all important information on the warranty card. This would raise alarm bells to ANY perspective dealer or potential purchaser. This would also result in the watch likely being refused any warranty service by Rolex. Despite what you said about the original seller and their anonymity, this is not common practice, and not something that we have seen in over 25 years of service. This would lead us to think that the watch is either stolen, smuggled in to the country to avoid VAT, or counterfeit. While you were waiting we said that if the watch was confirmed to be genuine and free of any issues, our offer would be lower because of the fact that it effectively has no papers. You declined and decided that you would try and take it elsewhere. You then decided to leave bad reviews all over social media and then ask what our offer would be. It feels somewhat that you have left these reviews to hold us hostage to an offer. We have a duty of care to customers and feel that they should be able to trust us to sell a genuine item free from any problems. We could not sell the watch that you have to a customer under those beliefs.
