When our house fell through and we were to a tight deadline to get a survey done on the new property, Walker Dunn pulled out all the stops. From asking for a survey on a Thursday to getting the survey done on the following Monday, then the next day the survey was available to us is a fantastic achievement. Would definitely recommend them. They also gave us a discount because we had already used them previously. Top Firm!!

Very polite and fast with report thankyou

Initial visit was three weeks after request, although we were given a cancellation. A couple of what were serious items were not shown in the needs to be done section, e.g. a strong recommendation to have an asbestos survey was buried in the report. However the report was concise and clear and the company easy to deal with.

Honestly I felt I spent £1100 for nothing! Surveyor only there for an hour with his apprentice to inform me the carpentry wasn’t up to scratch which included a loose skirting board and a loose toilet seat! He also informed me I needed to get the gas checked when there was no gas in the property and the insulation may not be up to scratch which the owner did inform him he had all the building regs to back up the sufficiency of it. I felt the whole survey was just a tick box exercise and nothing was accurate. I definitely question the professionalism of this firm!

The survey was carried out on the day quoted and the report was sent within 24 hours. It was clear and well written, with all points made in a straightforward and easily understood manner.
