Using this software for last three…

Using this software for last three months and find it very easy and useful. Previously we were managing in Google sheets but for my staff it was easy and handy so I started looking for some easy to use software. I found this and I liked the way they have designed this. Even non technical guys can use it .
Making bills , sharing those bills and the most important payment reminder option is awesome.
Will use for some more months and can tell more.

this was my first time i closed my financial year with help of vyapar app. all data were at one
place organised. It was time saving plus very easy for my team to go through all data. i love the ease to use this app

Offline billing and e-invoicing

I am using vyapar app from last 8 months as I managing my trading business in this software. I like the dashboard which is very user friendly and did not required any technical knowledge to understand this.
I need to create e-invoice so from this software only I can create , don't need to visit other portal or website which keep me organised for each bill.
Other things that I like is it works even without internet so during weak internet connection, I use this in offline mode .

Good basic software, but terrible workflow bottlenecks for fast retail counters.

I run a fast-paced retail shop, and while Vyapar has a decent interface for basic accounting, it is incredibly frustrating to use at a busy billing counter. The software forces you to do too much manual clicking and has some serious automation flaws.

Here are the biggest drawbacks and liabilities if you are considering this app for a retail store:

Embarrassing automated messages: The WhatsApp automation sends the invoice to the customer the second you click create—before you can mark the payment as received. So, a customer hands you cash, and they instantly get a message saying they have a "Balance Due." It makes customers think we are scamming them.

You can't use the keyboard for fast billing: If you type an item code, you can't just press 'Enter' to select it. You have to grab the mouse and click it from the drop-down. There is no keyboard shortcut to add the next item row either. It slows the line down terribly.

Weird customer name limits: You cannot add a customer if they have the same name as someone else in your system, even if their phone number is completely different. Very illogical.

Extra steps for UPI QR: You can’t just print a direct Sale Invoice with a UPI QR code on it. You have to make a Sale Order first, then convert it. Why?

Messy Inventory: The inventory management is outdated. It doesn't stop staff from creating duplicate items. If you try to delete the duplicate later, the system won't let you unless you go back and delete every single past transaction tied to it. There is no way to just "merge" them.

Quick Entry is backward: If you use the quick entry mode, it lists your items from bottom to top instead of top to bottom.

Verdict: If you run an office where you make 5 invoices a day, this app is fine. If you run a retail counter where you need to make fast bills using just a keyboard while customers are waiting, Vyapar's clunky workflow will drive you crazy.

Dear Vyapar Team,

Dear Vyapar Team,
I am a regular user of Vyapar Accounting Software and I truly appreciate the features and ease of use the software provides for small businesses.
However, I would like to suggest an important improvement regarding the User Roles and Permissions feature. Currently, the available roles are limited and predefined. As a result, users do not have the flexibility to customize permissions according to their business needs.
It would be very helpful if Vyapar could introduce customizable user roles, where the admin can manually select and control permissions such as sales, purchase, reports, editing entries, and other access rights for each user.
Many Vyapar users have also expressed similar concerns, as different businesses require different levels of access for staff members. Allowing customizable roles would make the software much more flexible and efficient for business operations.
I kindly request your team to consider adding this feature in future updates.

OCR feature is just awesome

Using vyapar app for a while now. Recently they updated a feature where I can upload image of purchase bill and all stocks will be saved automatically. Loved this update.

Makes billing less complicated

I started using Vyapar in my electronics shop mainly for billing and tracking stock. It took some time to set up everything, but once I got the hang of it, creating invoices and keeping records became easier. I wish there were a few more options for customizing the bills. Overall, it helps save my time on paperwork.

Good for billing


Vyapar has been good for my garment store, especially for sending GST bills. I like that I can send invoices to customers on WhatsApp. If you’re looking for a simple way to do shop billing, it’s worth trying.
