Very bad experience
Very bad experience. My auxiliary belt snapped on getting to work on a Sunday. I called recovery who took the car. I wanted to take it to my local garage, but he told me their garage would charge me a fair price. The next day, I was the one calling the garage seven times to get an update. They were very nonchalant, and there was poor communication from the lady at the reception. After calling several times, I was told the fault was the auxiliary belt that needed changing. They charged 2 hours labor at £50 per hour just to change the belt, which I believe should be done in under an hour. I was asked to pay £245, and the recovery was 15 minutes away from their garage.
Please avoid this garage; they will rip you off

Thank you for your review. From the beginning of the process you were advised of the cost of recovery. You were then offered to recover the vehicle to our garage to complete the repair, which you accepted. As soon as we had a mechanic free he looked at your vehicle and diagnosed the fault. Your were then advised of the costs for the repair to be completed. During that phone call it was explained in great detail to yourself what the charges entailed. You just wanted to pay a very minimal amount and not a fair price for the works completed and time taken. When I explained the costs to you and you didn't want to pay you were given the opportunity to collect your vehicle and take it elsewhere. All you said was that you needed your car back today. Your recovery was reduced as you were having works completed in our garage and the labour was charged at a reduced rate. Also, you mention communication was poor. I really don't see how when you must have called over 20 times since we picked your vehicle up to you collecting it.
At the end of the day you cannot expect a professional service and repair for just a nominal amount.

In addition to fixing the problem enabling us, Glen also gave us some useful advice to help us avoid this situation happening in the future.
Having the tracking app with engineer’s name & vehicle reg was also very helpful and also helped put our mind at ease.

A little bit of a wait for recovery …
A little bit of a wait for recovery for my car that failed to start whilst I was out shopping. Mechanic arrived who was exceptionally nice friendly and very very helpful and experienced. It was the car battery that failed so he boosted it up so enabled myself to get home. Recommendations for a new battery. Great service. Highly recommend

Excellent service used this company for many years 2nd time to have them out. The time frame they gave me was two hours arrived way before that. The gentleman who came was excellent explained erverthing and advised what I needed to do. Would definitely recommend this company.

Outstanding. Breakdown mechanic arrived in 5 minutes! I didn't even have time to read the text update. Worked out pretty quickly what was wrong and got me going. Thanks Glen!! So glad I ditched AA. Oh, and my friend waited FOUR hours recently with RAC.

Superb.
(Glen) Arrived within 30 mins of my call. Found the problem, and safely escorted me from a motorway services to their garage about 10 mins away. Removed the faulty part. Took it to their parts supplier for a replacement. Returned and installed the replacement part. Charged me for the part (labour etc was covered by my insurance/breakdown cover). I was on my way, all sorted, in about 4 hours from my initial call (to my breakdown agent).
An excellent service, and all carried out in a professional manner. Couldn’t fault the whole experience. Thanks all.

I have home start, and my car didn't start. I contacted the breakdown service, who were prompt. They told me the recovery vehicle would be with me within 1 and a half hours, (approx 12.30). I could track the vehicle from then. Within 20 mins Josh was at my house. He remembered me from a call out in November '25. He was his usual efficient self, kept me informed all the way through. He told me what in his opinion was wrong and towed my car to my garage. Prompt, efficient service all around.

Called out by my insurance company to…
Called out by my insurance company to recover my car from accident. I was initially given a 90 minute window, however the recovery truck arrived within 45 minutes. Was grateful for the earlier arrival as I was on my own and my car was in an awkward position blocking traffic.
Only comment I would make is that had I not taken details of the secure location my car was being taken to, no follow up directly to confirm.

5 stars is not a throw away number. The weather was foul, but Glen the roadside mechanic, remained cheerful and professional, getting me back on the road after a couple of hours...
