Terrible Customer Service

When I signed up for home broadband, the incentive was a £150 voucher. Although I have no problem with the broadband there has been no sight of the voucher despite numerous emails to the third party.
I tried to speak to customer service who had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and after 30 minutes, I hung up!
The voucher was part of the deal I signed up for, so surely Vodaphone should take some responsibility and be more helpful?

No mobile service for 10 days

I'm with Lebara who use the Vodafone network. Looks like the Vodafone mobile system has been down here in Keswick since Mar 13, with work originally expected to be completed by end of Mar 18. Have just discovered that the end date is now Mar 22. That's 10 days without the use of my mobile. It seems I can't even get texts in or out, even at home. Not impressed.

Hours and hours trying to sort out a problem.
My husband needs his phone, im unable to leave the house unless he has his phone.
Flagged up a query with the fraud department, they cut his phone off!
Challenging this and asking for PAc code was refused.

Masterclass in How Not to Run a Telecoms Company

If there were awards for wasting customers’ time, Vodafone would sweep the board.

I reported a fraud on a phone line; entirely my mistake, because I’d forgotten I’d gifted the handset some time ago. Fair enough. I called Vodafone immediately to correct it. You’d think reversing an error I made, I reported, and I was now trying to fix would be straightforward.

Instead, I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone being bounced around, only to be told that despite passing all security checks and despite Vodafone acknowledging the mistake, I now needed to:

Go into a physical shop or

Fill out a form that takes 72 hours to process

Or- and this is the best bit - simply wait 14 days for the fraud report to “take its natural course”

All this after they’d already given the giftee instructions on how to reverse the error. So they could help the wrong person, but not the account holder who actually made the report.

And when I looked at the form?
I couldn’t even complete it because Vodafone requires a utility bill linked to the account — which of course I don’t have, because I gifted the phone. Meanwhile, Vodafone hadn’t even uploaded the change‑of‑ownership document they themselves had processed.

It’s astonishing. A telecoms giant that can’t manage basic internal admin, can’t communicate between departments, and can’t resolve a simple, honest mistake without sending customers on a bureaucratic treasure hunt.

After this circus, the conclusion is simple:
New phone. New SIM. Never touching Vodafone again.

If you value your time, your sanity, or even the faintest hint of competent customer service, look elsewhere.

Shocking service

Well, broadband ordered, cancelled with no reason why, second order placed, engineer did install, fantastic guy, router not working. Find out this order cancelled?????? 3rd order placed, promise that current supplier will not disconnect until vodaphone up and running.....guess what, currently supplier has disconnected broadband. Calls and webchat ti Vodafone to find out what has happened, no idea sir, we did not tell them, maybe you did....sorry but that has kit happened from this side. It us juat a script that is read and no one can be bothered to find out what has happened and why other orders cancelled....over 5 hours of my life has been wasted on calls and web chat to vodaphone, and no one seems to care, just the attitude of take the money and screw the customer. Two more weeks now without broadband because of somebodies incompetence. I pity the person I speak to next if this install fails, as I won't be polite as I have been up to now.

Most stupid company ive come across set up broadband with them and now they cant seem to find my account, ive given them all the information which is 100% correct and they still cannot find me.

No one speaks English on the phone which marks it 10 times harder to have a conversation.

The whole phone system is automated and stupid taken me an hour to get through and no help what so ever.

Now the company is taking money from me but I don't exist on there system?!?!

Good customer service.

Went in to Vodaphone Lincoln today, 28/91/26 to see what they could offer us for broadband and mobiles ,almost out of contract with EE and disappointed with them. Ayman was so helpful and patient with us, pensioners. He explained everything and got us a good deal which means I’m saving money with a better product.

Don’t get fooled like me

I tell you I thought Vodafone was a great company once upon time not now I always went with Vodafone I had my last iPhone 15 Pro Max 256 and my contract was at an end so I saw the new iPhone 17 Pro Max 256 in Orange and I was over the moon at first but I was lied too about my bill
The bill was estimated and I was happy within the email I was told I had credit sitting that would be used against my bill well it wasn’t
They even took a payment out my bank account an overpayment to which I’ve to wait up to 10 days for the refund joke they take it out just like that click of your fingers but I’ve to wait 10 Days joke.
I’ll never take another contract with Vodafone if I could cancel this contract I would
Does anyone know if I can still cancel as I just took contract 10th of November 2025 !!

Unacceptable service

We have been without broadband since the 18th of this month, i.e. 10 days. After numerous phone calls back and forth every day, testing and replacement of a lead and router the fault is still there. We know that City Fibre have a problem with cables breaking in their connection box. However, they and Vodaphone have refused to accept this. Eventually they agreed to request an engineer to visit this morning. We now hear, despite waiting in for him, that he won't be coming until tomorrow. This fault has occurred at least five times over the past year. That in itself is unacceptable, but at least up to now it has been fixed quickly within a day or so. Do not have anything to do with Vodaphone.

Vodaphone ridiculous service

Well it started with me contacting Vodaphone to terminate three numbers I have on my contract, me my wife & my daughter, it’s all message service now which is really frustrating, it started with why you leaving us normal stuff what can we do, explaining the new contracts for me that were sent are not suitable, so after about 1hr 10m they offered me a good deal. 80gb data unlimited mins & texts for all three numbers at £10 per month raised to £12:50 then £15, having gone through most of the details I lost the connection 😡 when I went back on I got someone else & had to go through the whole thing again only to be told this time that they couldn’t do the same deal for one of my numbers ???. Tbh I had enough 2hrs 20mins in still no further forward. I then decided cancel the lot only to be told I would have to go through to upgrades to cancel (someone else), then had to go again for a third time all my details 🥵to then be told the first person I spoke to should not have given me that first deal ( company policy apparently) long read I know sorry I have been with Vodaphone for as long as I can remember but this experience has convinced me to leave. I lost 3hrs 20mins to this Vodaphone system.
GOOD BYE & good luck with your future customers if this is how you treat them. Ridiculous service & poor.

Are Vodaphone worth it.

One star is being generous, Vodaphone fitted my fibre broadband and line, less than a year ago, the fitters were from another semi trained company (should have L plates) but obviously cheap to employ, they left but forgot to connect up the line, our technicians had to do this. All went well - then over 1 week ago the system went dead no phone or internet...when you ring Vodaphone they spend a great deal of time asking you who you are, alot more time than they do on triying to fix the system, they do talk to their little band of learners, or maybe they dont talk to them, but more than a week later no call - day guarantee was several days ago no checking, no apology. Now you know the Vodaphone nestling there on the A33. seems to be a poorly set up company Get off your rear ends and get real staff. Shame!

It's a fairly lengthy tale of poor…

It's a fairly lengthy tale of poor service. What used to be one of the most reliable mobile services has become a shadow of it's former self. I'm not suprised to see they have such a poor rating on recent performance. Perhaps they should concentrate on who their users are rather than who they think they are! For two days nows I have been unable to contact my wife and youngest daughteer in the local area yet can reach a friend in North London. This comes on top of a considerable number of calls cut off during recent weeks, no explanation. What on earth are we paying for???

Vodafone are charging me a whole month…


Vodafone are charging me a whole month line rental for a period where I am no longer a customer. Customer representative told me I should pay a false bill, so I can claim a refund later. Makes absolutely no sense at all. In any other sense, this is theft (demanding money for a service that you will not be providing)

Also, access via the web front end hardly ever works (Safari). The chat function falls over frequently - the desire for feedback at the end of the chat also means that you cannot save the transcript. Access to information is difficult generally, for example nowhere can I find the date that I ported my number away to a new provider. The two years I was with them, the signal was also very patchy as well.

To compound the issue, Vodaphone are now charging me a £5 late payment fee, even though I am out of contract with them!. in other words realising their mistake (charging me line rental for a period after my contract had ended) they have send me a revised final bill of £zero with a late payment fee of £5. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and really adds weight my accusation of this company being thieves (demanding money for a service that they are not providing, and then fining me a further £5 plus VAT, for not paying for a service that they are not providing). Honestly, you couldn't make this up.

(and yes, I have spoken to your social media team. I have been messaging them for one hour, and so far have got as far as the basic questions).

I lost my iphone on Friday

I lost my iphone on Friday, I was pretty convinced I lost it in Sainsburys but they didn't have it. Reluctantly I called Vodaphone who said they will cancel the sim, I stayed on the line and another person told me to cancel the iphone too for privacy, I was lucky to be told this as the first person never mentioned it. I then found the phone lodged under the car seat so I called back to ask then to either cancel the blocking or unblock. They said it could take up to 24 hours but nothing happened all weekend then Monday around 11am I noticed my phone couldn't send messages or make calls.....surely it hadn't taken these people nearly 3 days to block a stolen or lost phone??? Unfortunately thats exactly what had happened, they blocked it 3 days later and just ignored my request to unblock it. He kept me on the phone on hold for ever then told me I had to wait another 24 hours...so unprofessional and basic.

Follow up trade ins

Follow up to my last review all I can say is this is a mess a joke and disgusting it’s been going on since last month to be told that my trade in has got to them to now see from yesterday not only is this false but they have taken both my trade in values off both my numbers I have with them. So now my original number what had no effect what so ever they decide oh I no what we will now do we will take off the trade in off that number just to make things worse for the customer why not? …. I am sick and tired of going around in circles with these I have the complaints team who say can’t do nothing until the next bill is generated I said but you can see on my app it has been taken off both my numbers nope I have to wait until the 12th of Nov then for me to contact them again to look into it yet again … honestly I wish I can just pay up an leave as I wouldn’t wish this on anyone with the trade in discounts I wasn’t paying no air time now it is £25 so not only have they taken my 2 trade in mobiles put me through what I can only call hell I have lost out on everything yet the multi billionaire company has gained.
I am so tired of it all getting the phone calls to say yes it’s sorted complaints closed when in fact I had to reopen this whole situation to basically start again why can’t someone just add my trade ins back on my account?? Why can’t they see that it has been taken off?? It’s basic things but no they will wait until my bill comes out and say some absolute rubbish again please everyone avoid this trade in system it’s not right and it’s not fair what they put you through you lose out and they gain

Vodafone worse than Hitler? feels like it

Vodafone dropped my service during my contract in 2016 for no reason. Continued charging me despite zero service.

Three years later after the account was closed it turns out Vodafone had put a default on my credit score and claimed i owed £450 which i had already paid (for a contract with no service).

As i wanted to buy a house i very reluctantly paid this again. 2 months later they charged me a further £10 for an unknown reason. Again as i wanted to buy a house i paid it. They refuse to send me any documentation confirming the account closure. I am still to this day fighting just to confirm the account is closed and they won't try to steal again.

They are robbing thugs and i honestly cannot understand how they are allowed to continue to steal peoples money. Also, to understand all of the above took around 200 hours of calling Vodafone to understand and sort out. Vodafone time spend calling me 0.

This is the worst company i have ever had to deal with. If you have an ounce of sense i would avoid Vodafone like the plague.
