Our History
The Vitality Institute was founded by Dr. Abdala Khalil who created a custom chemical peel for his daughter, Marya, as a solution for her cystic acne at a time when chemical peels were unsafe for skin of color. The results were impressive but moreover, her confidence from having clear skin inspired Dr. Khalil to share his peel with the world. After Dr. Khalil’s untimely passing, Marya stepped into a leadership role at Vitality Institute and today, is the CEO. Best sunscreen ever
I have been an esthetician for 15 years and have never been able to find a mineral sunscreen I like or want to wear, until trying VI Mineral SPF. It looks beautiful on bare skin or under makeup. It feels light and doesn’t cause any congestion on my acne prone skin. I’m in love!

Leaking Bottle
When I received my bottle it was slightly open and product leaked out of the bottle. I am DISAPPOINTED because this bottle is expensive and I ultimately did not get what I paid for. I took pictures of the leaking bottle and can share if needed.

Absolutely awesome product
I try a lot of expensive skin care products. Vitality Institute products are by far the best products I’ve used. Every VI product I try is great, but my favorites are the cleanser and the vitamin C. Try them, you won’t regret it.
I definitely give VI products 5 stars.

Challenging but worth it
This was my 3rd peel this year & the most challenging to get through- maddening itching/discomfort. I do it because I LOVE the results! However torturous some moments seem, it’s worth it when it’s over.

Hi there! Thanks for the great and honest review. Yes, itching can be an issue, but applying the Post-Treatment Repair Cream can alleviate a lot of the discomfort. If it is still bothersome then applying Aquaphor over the Repair Cream can also be very helpful. The itching should also lessen the more peels you receive.

Love products but price increase too much
I love the vi peel and the face wash. I have bought the face wash for two of my granddaughters that are in their early teens. The vi peel is the best peel, though you do need more than one.
The reason for only 4 stars is the terrible price increase that happened over the past year or two.
The face wash decreased in size from 8 ounces down to 4. They updated the packaging, but I would rather have more product than a fancy bottle.
They also increased the price of the peels significantly. I’m sure they’re still the best but I can no longer afford them. Lucky for me my medical aesthetician whips up a mean Jessner peel, so that’s what I get as a replacement. Not as good as a vi peel but a few hundred dollars cheaper.
