We do accept that there was an issue at the original fitting appointment, where the incorrect blind was brought. That should not have happened, and once it was identified, we worked with you to arrange for the correct blind to be supplied and fitted.
With regards to the positioning of the blind, our original fitting was based on our usual approach and experience. However, when you let us know that you would prefer it positioned differently, we returned and adjusted it to suit your preference.
We’re sorry to read that you still feel unhappy, as our intention throughout was to work with you and resolve the concerns raised. We appreciate the opportunity we had to come back and make the changes requested.

Wonderful Service
Wonderful service. This is the second time Village Blinds have fit blinds to my house. They provided fantastic advice on which blinds would be best and excellent value for money. We purchased blinds for a new build and they had measured up before we’d even moved in. Blinds were manufactured quickly and Nick came to fit them soon after we’d moved in. He was fantastic, extremely friendly and took great care in his work. He left the working areas clean and tidy, vacuuming as he went and leaving everything clean and tidy. All in all I couldn’t rate them higher, 10/10.

Great Blinds, Disappointing Installation and Customer Service
We recently purchased blinds from Village Blinds NI at a cost of almost £1,000. The blinds themselves are excellent and we are very happy with the product, which is why this is not a 1-star review.
Unfortunately, the installation fell well below the standard we expected from a premium supply-and-fit service. After fitting, we discovered multiple visible redundant drill holes around the brackets, along with brackets and screws that appeared poorly aligned. The fitter was friendly and courteous, but the finish of the installation was disappointing.
What was particularly frustrating was that we specifically chose a company that offered measuring and fitting rather than purchasing blinds online and fitting them ourselves. We were happy to pay a premium for professional installation and expected a professional finish in return.
After raising our concerns, a return visit was offered to fill the holes. However, as someone who works long hours in academia and travels frequently for work, arranging further appointments would have caused additional inconvenience. The issues related to the finish of the installation rather than the blinds themselves, and I am perfectly capable of filling the holes myself.
What disappointed me most was the handling of the complaint. Despite speaking with several members of staff, I never received an apology for either the standard of the installation or the inconvenience caused. The owner's response included the comment that "sometimes in life things do happen that neither of us want to happen", which I felt dismissed the concerns I had raised rather than acknowledging them.
When I explained that another appointment was not practical and asked whether a goodwill gesture could be considered, I was told that no financial compensation would be offered. To be clear, the blinds themselves are very good and the fitter was polite. However, for a job of this value, I expected a higher standard of workmanship and a more customer-focused response when concerns were raised.
Based on my experience, I would recommend inspecting any installation carefully before the fitter leaves.

That is not how we want any customer to feel after choosing us for a measured and fitted service.
We did offer to return to inspect the installation at a time of your choosing, and put right the concerns raised, and that offer remains open. I fully appreciate that arranging another visit is not always convenient, but we do believe the fairest next step is for us to review the issue properly on site and resolve anything that needs attention.
