Video Caption helped us out of a very unusual situation. We needed an interview shot in Spanish to have English subtitles added to the footage. None of us spoke Spanish. VC was able to take the English transcript and create subtitles that translated the emotions of the interview. They turned the job around quickly and worth every dime paid for their services. I would recommend them to anyone in need of captions and will definitely be using them in the future.

The customer service was excellent- turn around time was amazing. Unfortunately the sub titles were rejected by our Chinese partners as to simple and without any real nuance. Though we believe this was our own fault because we asked for “simple” Chinese and that is what we got. So though I would highly recommend this company to anyone for their excellent service be extremely careful what you ask for. Also the Chinese think that white letters in a black box is “unlucky” who knew. In the end we had to redo all of the subtitles and could not use the work provided. Again not because of a lack of excellent service - rather our own lack of understanding in the Chinese market and language. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

We had a unique project, scripted and recorded in Spanish, we needed Spanish captions. The first company I worked with took four days to say they couldn't handle this project. I called several other captioning services. Video Caption Corporation was the first who said they could do a Spanish video with Spanish captions. One business day later I had exactly what I needed. They were professional on the phone and backed it up with quality captions.

I was in a bind after our usual captioning service gave us a 3-day turnaround on a rush job (for which we were going to have to pay $800 for the rush only, in addition to the subscription fee of $1 per minute). The video had to be posted in 2-days, and there was no way to reach a human to explain our unique situation. Since I couldn't get them to caption only the parts of the video that needed to be captioned, the cost for this single video was going to be in the thousands of dollars. I should explain here that the video I needed to be captioned was a virtual graduation video for our university so there were only about 45 minutes of the 5-hour+ video that actually needed captions - the rest of it was just the students' names appearing on the screen, so that actually did not need to be captioned. However, our usual service was so automated, that we couldn't even request that only the non-names portion of the video get captioned. It was a huge mess and the video team had given up home, only ever having dealt with our usual vendor. I did some quick reviews online and discovered that Video Caption Corporation we very highly rated, so I called the 800 number on their homepage. And the unthinkable happened. A human answered the phone!! She listened to my plight and then connected me with the incomparable Tiffany! Tiffany also listened to my plight, agreed to caption only the 45 minutes that needed captioning, gave me a total quote of $565 dollars (which turned out to be the exact amount we were charged) AND turned around the service before the end of the same day! This service is remarkable. REMARKABLE!! They even downloaded the video from where we had already posted in unlisted on YouTube, so we wouldn't have to wait for any upload issues on our end. I should also mention that my university is archaic in their accounts payable processes, and I informed Tiffany there would have to be a lot of back and forth before we could even pay then. Enter the incomparable Nancy. Nancy worked directly with our admin and the AP office and took that whole process out of my hands so I could focus on the rest of the virtual graduation, ensuring an excellent experience for our graduates. I have never been more impressed with any service I've ever received, and am petitioning the video department to switch to Video Caption Corporation over our current garbage (non) solution. You cannot go wrong with this service!! Call them now!!

Everybody I dealt with a Video Caption Corporation was incredibly responsive. The main thing that would have made our experience more exceptional would have been having the availability of a combined English and Spanish transcript at the beginning. It would have been much more efficient for us to edit both together and on the same page than having to work back and forth between two separate files. Having a program that we could edit on either a Mac or PC would have been helpful, as well. Otherwise, VCC's turnaround time was very fast and the experience was very positive overall.
