I wish I could give this company and especially the tour guide, Sal, 10 stars!
They are honest and Frida is a great responder via email, text and phone.
She helped us set up a 10 day private tour, which she said was “doable”.
Sal, our private tour guide, made it happen as he was always going the extra mile for us.. He treated us like we were family. He made sure we did everything we’d hoped to do as well as made sure we enjoyed the Mexican culture and history. Don’t hesitate to use this company. Also, request Sal for your guide as he is the best private guide we have ever had in our 57 years of traveling internationally.

Alberto our guide was incredible. We learned so much about Mexico City. Very inspiring.

De tour is geweldig. Het vervoer is goed geregeld door op een locatie af te spreken. De gids reed netjes. Vervolgens op de plek aangekomen, kwam er nog een locale gids bij om nog meer uit te leggen over het gebied en de vlinders. Zij namen beide de tijd om vragen te beantwoorden en er was ook ruimte voor humor. Heerlijk gegeven en nog Axelotl bekeken.

Worst tour and customer service we have experienced in over 50 years of travel and 100+ countries we have visited.

We wanted to visit Cacaxtla ruins in Tlaxcala and Vibe Adventures offered a relatively expensive tour, but that covered what we wanted to see. We booked the tour a couple of months in advance and everything was going as expected for our December 30th, 2025 tour to Cacaxtla and other sites in Tlaxcala.

Our driver (top service) and our guide showed up in time at our hotel for our group of 9 people. We got on the van and maybe 20 minutes into the drive and on our way to Tlaxcala, the guide casually told us that Cacaxtla was closed because the ceiling protecting the archaeological site had collapsed a couple of weeks before and it had not been repaired. She offered to take us to visit some other sites in Puebla, which we had already visited before.

We had no other option. Vibe Adventures never bothered to contact us to inform us that the archaeological site was closed. They ruined our trip for which we paid a lot of money.

Upon our return to our hotel we check on Internet, on the Government official web site, social media, etc. No mention whatsoever of the collapsed ceiling.

There are two possible explanations: 1. The accident was true (even if the site was shown as open in social media and official web page and no mention was made of any kind of mishap) and Vibe Adventures did not bother to contact us and mention that the tour we had booked was unavailable, or 2. The guide lied to us and came up with this story because for some unknown reason she did not want to go to Cacaxtla.

We sent an email to Vibe Adventures requesting an explanation. We never heard back from them, which leads us to assume that this was just a scam.

So far we have no idea what happened. Everything seems to indicate that Cacaxtla was open and the guide simply did not want to take us there.

We will definitely never use Vibe Adventures services again. Perhaps, after going public with our terrible experience, they will finally have the courtesy as to reply with an explanation, perhaps a refund.

Experiencing Dia de Muertos in San Andres de Mixquic is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is not easily done without a tour. This tour brings you to this festive little town, but not in small groups but with big tour buses. The start was chaotic, no headcount, no ticket check. This resulted later in missing persons making the bus leave 45 min late to go back. Communication also was chaotic in the WhatsApp group from the company's side.

The village is festive, and very busy. We arrived around 4.30. The guides try to explain you a little bit about traditions but it is too busy to hear everything. The best thing was: our guide made sure we were at the pantheon well before sunset. After sunset you spend an hour or more in line to get into the pantheon. The famous offers and lights are most beautiful at sunset and right after in my opinion. Very special to be a part of. But it is véry busy inside. Families trying to reach graves struggle because of the many tourists. You don't have a lot of free time to enjoy the celebrations and have dinner, because in order to be back at the bus by 8 you have to make your way out of the cementery and food market by 7. Of course some people got lost/stuck making all others wait. We eventually arrived back at 11.30 PM.
Some people decided not to wait until the bus leaves and took an Uber back for around 25 dollar/500 MXN.
This shows that it can be organised by yourself as well, since you mainly pay ( a lot) for comfortable transport.
I would not have missed it for the world but would consider either booking accommodation in Mixquic or going by Uber next time.
Make sure you book for the 2nd of November, other days there will be no candles.

Great experience! Also, ximeda was super helpful and everything went super easy. Would do it again! X

We visited the Zócalo and the Metropolitan Cathedral and it was something magical. The art, the history, everything in one place. Will visit Mexico City again with Vibe Adventures!

Vibe Adventure arranged for a wonderful day trip to see the monarch butterfly migration at Piedra Herrada. Ed, our guide picked us up and drove about two hours outside Mexico City. It was about 2 1/2 miles walk up to the main area to see the butterflies. The trails are well maintained. We saw butterflies before the top and we were able to take lots of pictures throughout the way. Ed is an excellent guide who made the day fun & found different spots to step off the path & take pictures. It was pretty special to see the colonies of hundreds of butterflies flying in the air around us. Highly recommend this tour to see the monarch butterflies!

Ernesto was a fantastic guide, so knowledgable and a great story teller!

My husband and I did a two-week trip from Mexico City to the Yucatan with Vibe Adventures. This trip was executed very poorly. First, it took 2 weeks for the company to confirm my reservation. I was on the verge of asking for a refund of my deposit when they finally responded to my multiple inquiries about whether my trip was confirmed. For the trip itself, we had only 1 person who served as both the guide and the driver. He did not seem like an actual guide, as he only seemed to have information we could read on the signs ourselves, and also told us many places where people had died. Also, he was not a safe driver - went the wrong way down a one-way street, drove over 90 mph (not kph), and almost hit other cars and pedestrians. The car that we rode all over Mexico in was much too small for the group. We had 6 people and all of our luggage crammed into a small SUV. Some suitcases were in the roof rack, but backpacks, purses, jackets, etc were all on the seats and around our feet. The air conditioning did not reach the back, either, so people in the front were freezing and in the back were sweltering. Most of the hotels we stayed at were of quite poor quality. Also, the itinerary the company sent us linked to better hotels in at least 2 situations, showing that they had downgraded their initial plan. I seriously wonder where all of our money went, as the hotels, site admission costs, gas, and salary for 1 guide do not even come close to what we paid. I enjoyed the sites we saw, but definitely would NOT recommend this company.

We took a private tour of Coyoacán (including Frida Kahlo Museum) and Xochimilco with Ari last week and it was incredible. She was so knowledgeable, flexible (we were traveling with a baby), and kind. It was clear to us that she had a passion for the content which came through via her storytelling and recommendations.

We would absolutely recommend tours with her (and Vibe) in the future.

We had a day in paradise at Tolantongo springs and were so grateful to have Sal as our driver and guide for the day! The pools, the cave and the river were magical, and Sal was so knowledgeable and wonderful with our kids, too. Vibe Tours was very responsive, personal and pleasant. This was the highlight of our trip to Mexico City!

I recently had the pleasure of taking a Vibe adventure (Teotihuacan, Frida Kahlo, UNAM & Xochimilco / Private / 12h) tour in Mexico, and I must say it was an incredible experience! From start to finish, the tour was well-planned and executed flawlessly. What made it even more special was the exceptional guide and driver who made the trip memorable.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Mexican history and culture, and he made sure to share his wealth of information with us throughout the tour. He was patient and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm, making the experience both educational and entertaining. Daniel was amazing, navigating the roads with ease and ensuring our safety at all times.

What impressed me the most was the attention to detail that our tour guide put into the tour. Every aspect was carefully planned, from the itinerary to the accommodations, ensuring that we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the trip.

We loved our tour which took us through many of the beautiful colonial towns in central Mexico. Our guide Salvador was friendly and knowledgeable, our driver was amazing, and we were lucky to be accompanied by two young women who work for Vibe Adventures. They were so friendly and a joy to travel with. The only thing I would change is to add an extra night in San Miguel de Allende-- our time there was too short!
