Sarah was incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to any queries. We loved the videos and technology used during the search for our car. The test drive was useful and a great experience. It seemed like nothing was too much hassle and all the staff were very friendly. We will definitely recommend to out friends

Buying a car can be stressful. Chloe made the whole experience enjoyable, there was no pressure, she understood our requirements and came up with a solution that suited us.

I took delivery of my 75 reg Golf R-line today after only purchasing it a couple of weeks ago. Hats off to Pete Lotze who took care of me throughout every step of the process, he made it really easy, he wasn’t pushy and nothing was too much for him. Pete went above and beyond to sort me out with a cracking deal, he kept me in the loop throughout and easily contactable throughout. All round a great experience from Vertu Motors Skipton and Pete!

Sarah helped it be a very smooth process. Kept in contact with everything. This is my 4th car through Vertu Motors and would highly recommend

Bought a polo for my daughter recently and received exceptional service from start to finish. An easy recommendation 👌

When we first arrived we struggled to find a parking place.Although there was three blue badge spaces at the left of the service entrance.
All were full of either garage staff,,/ MOT vehicles anyway all without blue badges.
The lady in charge of mobility was so none helpful.She claimed to have a long experience at selling cars at this dealership but although we were going to test two cars with an appointment none were set up to try and one was not even there in automatic. Even though the appointment was booked for a week.She never told us anything about the car we finally drove even though she sat in the back on her phone most of the time. This lady is not a salesperson but mearly an order taker.
I was told by the general manager that she SOLD over 200 cars per Year no not sold but taken orders for.
She has a captive audience with motorbility customers,who don't need selling too all she does is take orders.I doubt she knows much about the specifications of different models,She is a total waste of time.
We won't be getting a car from there.There are more VW garages in the area probably with more understanding/caring staff.
We won't be going there ever again.

This relates to Vertu Volkswagen (Skipton)

I had booked my VW Transporter in for a service at Skipton Vertu. I have just driven to the dealership to drop the vehicle off to be advised that the service cannot go ahead because the service plan "cannot be claimed" by that branch, instead I must take it to the nearest commercial dealership many miles away.

*Why did the booking team take the booking?
*why was I not contacted in advance? Instead I took time out of work to drop the vehicle off, knowing the service could not go ahead? Why was I not contacted first thing as soon as the issue was identified?
*I used the automated check-in process on site, even deposited my keys. However, the vehicle is fitted with a Ghost immobiliser and there was no option to input the deactivation details. It's a good job I spoke to a colleague to provide the immobiliser details before I left, otherwise I would have returned home non the wiser. Why was this allowed to happen?

Overall poor service. First, and last time I will use Vertu

The Sales Lady i dealt with was very helpful, made the experience a much easier process. Other members of staff were happy and i felt comfortable. I was given all the details i needed and helped with the workings of my new car. Thank you for a great experience.

Car park jam packed with new and used VW cars and not one has a price on the windscreen, just a QR code on some, and the rest directing you to the indoor price list which I could not find. I am one of the many who cannot be bothered with this QR nonsense as I do not have a mobile data package, meaning accessing whatever the QR finds costing me money! There was one salesman dealing with customers and you are left to your own devices, so a quick exit and lost sale from me, and wondering how many more people walk away.

Awful disgusting customer service. Waited for this company for a call back no call back rang 3x on a purchase and a part ex I waited 2 days and nothing.

Just bought a Volkswagen Polo from these guys .
Hassan was the sales guy dealing with us. he's went above and beyond for us addressed every issue I couldn't be more happy and will 100% recommend them

Just had our VW Golf serviced at VW Skipton having taken up the service plan when we bought it. Must say we were very impressed with the service and customer care. Reported back that we needed a new tyre which was swiftly ordered and fitted. Was particularly impressed with the service manager coming over and asking me if everything was okay. Thank you to Toby and Lisa on service reception and the valeting dept who made sure our car was clean and shiny on collection. Graham and Deb.

My experience with Hassan at Vertu VW Skipton was great.

Chloe smith at vertu motors made my car buying experience very smooth she is very helpful and patient. I would honestly recommend buying a car through Chloe 100% thanks Chloe!!!!!

We were offered such a low px amount for our cars that my partner walked out in disgust. We went to a different garage, looked at a similar priced car, and were offered £3000 more px. We were ready to buy (and did, just elsewhere) absolutely baffling why they'd low ball us like that. So frustrating & a massive waste of time.

We purchased a VW Tiguan off Sarah Turner at Vertu Skipton this week, and in all honesty I can't believe I have to write this ONE star review for such a huge company who should be focused on customer care. It seems once you've signed on the dotted line they are no longer interested in you at all. Sarah valued our old car a 63 plate VW Golf at £3,800, but when we have looked into the finance contract its been valued much lower. This has increased our finance loan by a substantial amount. We were not made aware of this by anyone and if we hadn't called the finance company and asked for a breakdown of costs we may never have known. We were also charged for VW services we didn't ask for which has added more money to the finance agreement. When we called to discuss this and find some resolution we were told it was month end and the team were busy. Mark the Sales Manager would not take our call. We were promised a call from Sarah yesterday, she didn't call. Please could someone get in touch so we can discuss further. Thank you.
** Update** 01/05/24 Vertu have been in touch and are currently reviewing this issue. We hope for a positive outcome.
**Further Update** 15/05/24 This issue has now been fully resolved thanks to James Brisk, who was 100% professional and restored our faith in this process. Thank you. We are changing the star from a rating of 1 to 4 based on his customer service and aftercare.

Having given a not so favourable appraisal in the last week or so i must say my original complaint seem a tad premature.
But the dealership and especially Patrick in the service dept was super.

I was so happy with the way in which Craig has treated me over the phone and face to face today. He has made the whole experience of choosing the right car amazing for me! Tried to buy vw id 3 seen on auto trader at 24k told that price was not Inc vat which is strange on a car and not van. So got 2 mates to phone about same car and they both got told that the price is 24k and no vat. Straight after I phoned again to try to buy but as soon as they heard that I had a foreign surname the car needed vat added again. My 2 mates had English surnames. I strongly suspect that if you have a foreign surname you will be treated with rascism

Having purchased cars ranging from £1,000 to £100,000 I must say this is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Very helpful leading up to a sale, but thereafter not remotely interested. Had an issue with a vehicle to the extent that I wished to reject it upon delivery (concerns also shared by the independent delivery company) and various promises to resolve the issues were made but never materialised. Eventually, Emails and phone calls never returned. Buyer beware.
