Been a customer with Toyota since 2001. I received a new car and this was handled by Ryan Newton. The handover was smooth and Ryan was excellent because he took my previous experience with Toyota and Toyota cars in account and only highlighted any new changes or features. He was knowledgeable and had a good understanding of the process and the vehicle . Thank you Ryan

I bought a new Toyota Corolla in April 2024 and had a few problems I was struggling to resolve. The service book was not stamped or signed to say the PDI and Quality checks had been carried out and the Navigation Maps were more than a year out of date. I also requested the full handbook rather than just the user guide that came with the car. Like many reviews on here I struggled to get anywhere with phone calls and emails until my original Salesman Sohail Ahmed took the matters up for me and with great persistence got them resolved. A couple of the issues were resolved quickly but it took over a year to get the maps updated. Sohail worked tirelessly with regular updates and needed to work with people higher up the chain to authorise the update which normally costs £250. The five star review is dedicated to Sohail without whom the problem would never have been solved.

I would highly recommend the staff at Vertu Toyota Leicester for their high level of professionalism, knowledge, and for creating a very pleasant atmosphere throughout the entire vehicle purchase process.

I was looking to purchase a Toyota Yaris as my first car and explored options through AutoTrader and authorized Toyota dealerships. I found a Yaris at Vertu Leicester that matched both my needs and budget, so I contacted them online to schedule an appointment. Their response was almost immediate, and they accommodated my preferred date and time seamlessly.

On the day of my visit, I was warmly welcomed by Fidelis Echiejile, who had proactively assisted me with reserving the car earlier. He was friendly, patient, and thorough in addressing all my questions. He even arranged two test drives to ensure I was completely comfortable with my choice. Since this was my first car purchase, I had many queries about its features, warranty, and maintenance costs. Fidelis took the time to walk me through everything step-by-step, making the entire process clear and straightforward.

The collection process was just as smooth, further reinforcing the professionalism and efficiency of Vertu Leicester. My experience with the dealership—and especially with Fidelis—was relaxed and pleasant. I highly recommend Vertu Leicester for their friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service!

I booked my car in at Vertu leicester to investigate my tailgate not opening.
I was charged £156 diagnostic fee
and informed it required a new central locking main fuse box at an additional cost of £982.56.
I took it for a second opinion at a local garage who cleaned the locking mechanism and charged me £30 to fix it.
It now works perfectly.
I'm not a happy customer.
Please don't trust this main dealer diagnostics as you could be paying for things you don't need.
I feel they are either incompetent or trying to rip me off.

Bought a Corolla from this company, I will never buy another car from them. The service is pathetic....The car was delivered in a very poor state,dirty front seats with a parking alarm sounding. The car has broken down 3 times (thank god for AA). But even the service from Toyota garages is woefully inadequate. I have had to buy a new battery, as the one fitted to the car was not original, so not under warranty. The staff at Vertu Toyota Leicester will not answer emails, or phone calls.... so I have been defeated, no one will respond. There sales team are totally not helpfull, and managers do not want to know? Even after leaving this review, they say they will help, but I KNOW they wont, they do not care......

Emailed to ask for further information about the service history on an approved used Toyota at their Leicester branch.

1st person - typical marketing response, stating it has full service history, blah, blah and do I want this sent over.
I ask for it to be sent.

2nd Person (different person) - it has full main dealer service.
I ask for a breakdown of services by date.

3rd person (different person with 2nd person copied in) - It has full service history.

Why can't you just provide the details of the service history!!! What are you hiding? Does full service mean it's had only one service in its 80k miles or the 8 that it should have received?

Poor customer experience. Put off.
Also, really professional, using emojis in your email response.

I recently booked an interim service for my vehicle through Toyota Vertu Leicester’s website. The system correctly recommended the right service based on my car’s mileage and age. However, when I arrived at the reception, the service team presented me with an invoice for a full service instead.

When I questioned this discrepancy, the staff member I spoke to was rude, unhelpful, and in a hurry to end the conversation rather than addressing my concerns properly. He insisted on the full service without a valid explanation and behaved in an inappropriate manner.

The poor service continued at pickup. There was no one available in the office to assist me, and when I finally found a staff member, he had no knowledge about the payment process and claimed it wasn’t his department.

Overall, this was a terrible experience. I would not recommend Toyota Vertu Leicester to anyone. If you are looking for professional and respectful service, I strongly suggest finding a better alternative elsewhere.

Impressive service from General Manager Nathan Sawbridge and sales executive Sohail Ahmed who went above and beyond and their customer care and service standards were exceptional.
I experienced an issue post collection that is also being taken care of by their service department.

Absolutely fantastic service from the initial phone call to the collecting of my new car. Priya Dulkoan and Tommy Needham need a special mention as they helped me the most, but I also appreciated Lily’s help today. Basically my experience of buying a car has always been of pushy sales people who make me feel a bit dim, but here the opposite was true. I could not have asked for a better experience, would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.

Mr Sohail, is a wonderful rep to meet. Very understanding and a good communicator. Easy to approach and I will recommend any one to see him for their new car.

In general Vertu Motors seem a little disorganised compared to other dealerships. I previously bought a car for Vertu Motors and though perhaps it was just that branch, but Leicester was just as bad.

From the reception staff who take the messages with the loud tapping of the keys during the entire conversation, to constantly having to chase the after sales people up for things that should be easy for them to confirm & reply to you, but alas no one does, despite emailing further up the management chain each time... it's just very disappointing.

There's a noticeable difference in customer service even within their own dealerships who sell more premium branded cars, they need to share best practice across all showrooms.

Sohail was lovely. Took his time to go through motorbility with me. Much improved from the initial contact attempts when I left two messages but they weren’t sent on to the Leicester branch. After coming in, and subsequent appointments, I’m really happy with the Toyota service.

I recently had a great experience choosing a car at this dealership, Sohail was our advisor and from start to finish made our entire process smooth, fast and stress-free.
