Staff and service are really nice

Bought a car from here in June 2025 non stop problems Kieran and the mechanic dealing with my car are perfect couldn’t fault them. However as soon as I went to pick my car up after been looked at the sales people were all stood talking about me and laughing very ignorant and unprofessional definitely wouldn’t recommend them at all if I knew there names I would put this on as its very rude and uncomfortable.

The sales person who dealt myself was excellent,he was very helpful ,informative and professional.

I was a bit dubious buying a car online but Vertu made the whole process stress free! From placing the deposit to arranging delivery and friendly staff everything went smoothly. I would do it again.

From first enquiring about a Seat Arona and throughout the purchasing experience, I was assisted by Emily, Sales Advisor, who could not have done more to make the whole process painless and seamless. Emily was so patient with my queries, kind and knowledgeable. Even after I had collected the new car she was quick to answer some questions I had, talking me through the keyless entry and navigation system. Many thanks to Emily and Seat!

Very straight forward transaction, car was ready to collect on my arrival. All admin carried out without any issues, collected at the train station at the prearranged time.

Leigh and Craig were excellent, they were very helpful and always kept me updated throughout the process of buying my car.

Editing this review as the service just gets worse by the day. My var i bought from them months ago has FINALLY been booked into be looked at....its had an issue from day 1. They couldnt fix or even diagnose it so had to book it into another main dealer (vw). They diagnosed and repaired (took 3 weeks). I still havent got my car back as vertu so far 5 days after completion havent settled the bill.

Also the car was sold to me as having voice control.....it did for the first 2 weeks. But they didnt tell me it was a 5 year subscription that was due to run out that month and now want £300 out of me to put it back on.....jog on!!. Bearing in mind I paid 27k for a 2nd hand car.

The managers or service manager Jamie DO NOT ever return phone calls or emails.

Ive been ringing since Thursday to speak to the manager ( he was on a call and would call me back.....5 days later he is still on a call and will call me back.......I call BS)

Id stay away from this garage.

75% decent service when it comes to the sale.....50% decent service when they've received deposit.....but once you've driven away with the car you are screwed for any decent aftercare.
Only half a week later a fault has developed.....tried my best to get hold of Leigh, the salesman......when I last rung at lunchtime 12 hours ago he was on the phone and would ring me back.....still never heard from him. I also sent 3 emails ober 2 days......no response. I've had to deal with the service department myself and even they wanna charge me to fix it.
When I picked the car up from buying it the seat was still wet......now its dry its shown a massive stain on the passenger seat....they aren't sorting it.
They actually washed the boot.....internal....with a jet wash......what the actual!!!

Absolutely impossible speaking to anyone now they have my money.

Firstly....I'm female so stop calling me Mr.

My experience at Vertu SEAT Darlington could have been better because in less than a week it needed to be in for a repair which should have been picked up prior to selling. (The issue i left previous feedback for). Also seat is stained i was told it'd be clean before I picked it up. It wasn't. So they got it back in to clean it. They couldn't get it clean in house. So she (service) told me she'd get the female manager to contact me the next day to book me into an external company to get the seat clean. It's been nearly a week now and I haven't heard a thing. You dont expect to pay 27k for a car and have dirty seats and be lied to constantly

Just picked up our car from vertu seat in darlington. So happy with the car and the service we received. Leigh was brilliant. Made the whole experience enjoyable and totally stress free. Can thoroughly recommend this dealership.

I went in trying to source a part for my seat Alhambra mk1 and although the part is now obsolete with seat, the information he gave me , I was able to source an identical second hand part off a different manufacturer for only £20 on EBay
