Yes the service with Becky was very good, the only thing that was disappointing was when we had the hand over of the vehicle we had paid for the vehicle to have a diamond wax applied and to be cleaned. Then when we open the tailgate door it was obviously had been cleaned properly as it was quite dirty all around the door trims etc but this had nothing to do with Becky more on the maintenance team

No nonsense, straight forward purchase of a new defender through Darren(sales)

Despite issues with old car everyone worked to resolve issues which led us to purchasing a new car.

I took my Land Rover discovery in for a service and decided to go chat with the sales guy, Darren, to see if I might like a range Rover instead. Everyone dealt with me in a polite and professional way. As it happened, a vehicle jumped out at me and I bought it, driving it away three days later. Great company to deal with!

I enquired about a brand new in stock Range Rover in June 2025 and bought inside 5 days - I travelled over 6 hours by train to collect the car to find when I arrived that it had a fault and was unable to be driven. To give them credit, they were apologetic and put me into a courtesy car, however, it was from then on that things went down hill dramatically.

I was told that the issue would take 2 or 3 weeks to resolve - it took over 7 weeks to resolve. I understand that is not always the dealers fault and that JLR are known for issues with parts availability etc but the communication and customer service was (and remains) atrocious. On the day I was supposed to collect the car, the GM told me they would try and get some sort of goodwill gesture from JLR due to what had happened. The one thing the car did not have which I wanted was the Shadow Pack so asked for that to be supplied and fitted and they agreed.

During the following 7 weeks of next to no communication, I reached out numerous times to the sales person and eventually the general manager with mixed success. Things got so bad that I threatened to cancel as I was paying for a car I was not actually able to use - the first time I did, I was told they would cover all my costs until the car was delivered (i.e. finance payment and insurance) whilst the second time I was told they would offer me 3 years complimentary servicing.

Eventually I was told the original issue part had come in and the car was fixed but I then got various contradictory stories about the shadow pack parts not arriving, taking time to fit and them not being able to paint it for a few weeks so I told them to just send the car to me as I was fed up waiting.

I eventually called to complain as I had heard nothing back and was told that the car had left them that morning and was on its way back to me - no communication or notification of any kind despite promises that JLR repatriation team would handle all this and make the experience seamless! No one could tell me when it would arrive but at least it was on its way. Then next day the AA turned up to take the courtesy car back but I had not had my car delivered yet so I refused. Again, I chased where the car was and no one seemed to know but, lo and behold, a few hours later the car turned up on the drive! Even now, it was a comedy of errors - I had paid to get the car detailed / protected etc yet it turned up on an open transporter literally filthy inside and out. Added to that the car was missing a parcel shelf and set of headphones for the rear seat entertainment.

I took some pictures and sent them to the GM who called me back and agreed it was poor and again promised they would send on the missing parts from the delivery, the shadow pack parts and sort out the servicing for me. That was over 2 months ago and I have heard nothing since despite chasing a number of times.

It is a real shame as the car is good and the price was very competitive but the whole buying process and after sales has been a shambles from more or less the first day. In hindsight, I should have bought a train ticket home on collection day and gone elsewhere but I foolishly trusted them to sort things out. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone based on my experience.
