All shares forfeited subscription canceled after 2 years.
In the past I have invested 2.5k+ € as membership fees and I had a lot of shares in different companies. As it's angels stage investing, it's expected that some companies are failing.
I have account there since 2015 (with previous name Viral Angels account from 2013). As I stopped paying membership fees (and getting new shared) few years ago, then all my existing shares are forfeited.
There has been no emails that says, that all my shares are being forfeited, otherwise I would have tried at least to sell these, now I have just lost them. I only have membership expired emails, that just said I will be missing future share allocations.
In general, I recommend NOT to invest there at all. And if you have payed and stoped paying membership fees, then you just lose everything and selling them in portal is limited and only with small part of the shown value. So I consider it as scam website.

Accounts that remain inactive for a prolonged period and where we are unable to make contact are eventually closed in line with our terms.
You stopped your membership payments in December 2017, meaning the account has been inactive for over six years. During that time, membership-expiry notifications were issued, and attempts were made to re-establish contact, but unfortunately no response was received.
It’s important to clarify:
Shares cannot be held indefinitely in dormant, non-paying accounts where no communication is possible.
This process is not unique to VC Crowd; it is standard practice where assets must be properly administered and legally accounted for.
We completely understand that this outcome is frustrating, and we regret that you feel you weren’t sufficiently aware of the implications at the time. If you would like us to review your specific situation, we are more than willing to do so.

Yes, agreed with plenty of other investors. It's a nightmare to invest with Venture Crowd. Stay away from them....no background management.
Just marketing....VC take their cut and after that its "sink of swim".
Beware of who you are going thru with yr investment.

It is just ludicrous to believe any kind of investment has guaranteed returns. Nothing is guaranteed in life...stocks, crypto, online rug pulls and ponzis. Even your job can be eradicated at any time!
But here at VC, there is a better opportunity to reap rewards, perhaps even massive ones considering the great stocks they choose, like recovering lost gold!
Startup investing is always a long-term journey, and while it does carry risk, it also presents significant opportunities.
And the excitement of owning shares in companies that are in their early development stages, with the potential to grow massively, is an added "bonus". Given that we can spend the monthly membership amount on coffees in a month and have nothing to show for it is a huge plus!
So have some patience, enjoy the "ride" and stay positive! VC Crowd is a great place to be!

7 years later... ZERO profit
STAY AWAY. I've invested money with these guys for 7+ years and my portfolio is at a loss. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. The set up and structure does not favour members. And this isn't just me - I know several other members who are at a significant loss. I get investment comes at a risk - but these guys are jokes.

However, we want to be clear that the main reason for the drop in your portfolio is because you did not taking part in the HDG rights issue last year. This was a very low-cost opportunity to protect your shares against dilution.
We held 17 live webinars and sent out numerous email reminders to give every member ample chance to review the offer, ask questions and take action. Unfortunately, your choice to not to participate caused your shares to be diluted—and that’s what caused the biggest impact on your portfolio.
Also, it's important to clarify that Club membership is an expense, not an investment. While members receive complimentary shares in early-stage companies as a benefit of being part of the Club, we’ve always been upfront that returns are never guaranteed. These are high-risk, high-potential opportunities, and like with any portfolio, not every company will succeed.

A complete waste of time. They take your membership money and buy shares in companies that are unlikely to ever be profitable. It is a great idea and obviously a new marketing team trying to make people invest but unfortunately the shares are worth nothing. I don't think it is a scam but just you will likely lose all your money. Look at the scores recently. Previously I believe customers were asked to write good reviews.

Startup investing is a long-term journey, and while it carries risk, it also presents significant opportunities. That’s one of the reasons VCCrowd exists—to give members access to a diversified portfolio of early-stage companies, helping to spread that risk rather than relying on a single investment.
It’s not accurate to say your "shares are worth nothing". Of the 11 companies you received shares in, 9 are still actively trading and continuing to develop. One of these recently held a rights issue, which you had the opportunity to take part in but chose not to. Had you participated, your portfolio would now be in a much stronger position.
Some of our longer-term investments are now looking very healthy and beginning to move toward profitability. It’s a shame you didn’t stay involved long enough to see how these opportunities evolve. We genuinely believe VCCrowd can be a great place for those who take a long-term view to early-stage businesses.

I’ve been with VCCrowd for a number of years now and love what this club is all about. You don’t make money fast so if that’s what you are wanting this is probably not for you. However, by becoming an affiliate and recruiting others to the club you can soon make enough commissions to cover the monthly subscription cost and more whilst building up a portfolio of shares in up and coming companies. It’s important to remember that you are not investing in these companies, the club does that for you and does all the necessary work to try and ensure that only the most promising companies are invested in. As with all investments, there is the possibility of the companies being unsuccessful but most will grow to the point where they either float on the stock markets or are bought out by a major corporate. This is when you stand to make a very big profit, just bear in mind that this won’t happen overnight.

Liquiditeit om je shares te verkopen is er niet. Geld heeft het nog niet opgeleverd. Ga je dus niet rijk rekenen. Er zijn heel veel betere investeringsmogelijkheden voor de korte en lange termijn.

Wish I never bothered
I was a member for around 2 years and I wish I never bothered, waste of money.
I thought the whole point was getting in early and getting shares cheap before companies IPO but when a company did IPO the shares were worth 10% of what they said they were worth.(Lifesafe)
If you want to sell your shares internally you’d be lucky to get 40% of the price you paid for them in your monthly allocation.
I had nearly £1000 of shares in probably the club’s most successful company happy drinks they are now worth £80 and I’d doubt I’d get £30 for them.

Regarding LifeSafe, when it listed, it did so at a premium, giving members an opportunity to exit at a strong price. The decision to hold or sell after such an exit opportunity is entirely up to each individual member. VCCrowd does not provide financial advice.
With Happy Drinks, a rights issue was offered to shareholders, and we ran 17 live webinars over several weeks to ensure members fully understood the opportunity to participate and avoid dilution of their shares at a very deeply discounted price. We make every effort to keep members informed, but ultimately, the decision to act on these opportunities is in their hands.
Our role is to provide early access to pre-IPO companies and keep members updated, but market fluctuations and individual choices will always play a role in long term outcomes if a member decides to hold onto their shares beyond an exit opportunity. If you have any further questions or concerns, we’re always happy to help.

A happy 3 years with VC Crowd...
I've been a member of VC Crowd for over 3 years and will continue to be. I like the ease of use of the site, the ability to trade with other members, also that you can pause your account and easily change the amount you choose to invest with your subscription. The weekly webinars keeping members updated is an excellent addition. I highly recommend VC crowd.

Still happy since 2019!
I joined the club several years ago, and thoroughly enjoy learning more about the businesses I now have shares in. Some are growing really well; a few didn't work out - that's life. But because my shares are spread over so many different companies the 'risk' is tiny and the potential is excellent.
A new lower membership level means that this is a fun way for everyone to be able to afford to try their hand at being a Venture Capitalist!
Really enjoy the weekly webinars about 'our' businesses, and support is fast and friendly.

There is an internal market where you can buy or sell shares.
A recent change of management has given VCCrowd a new lease of life, with regular (usually weekly) updates via a webinar.

An investment club with a difference.
I joined this investment club back in 2019 and am delighted at the results. It was easy to sign up and provide my ID and the investments are interesting and hold a lot of promise. These are not investments for the faint hearted and members should take a medium to long term view. It is a great way to build a portfolio of potentially very exciting young/fledgling companies. Holdings can be sold internally very easily and withdrawing funds is perfectly simple. There are numerous webinars giving members regular progress of the various holdings often featuring presentation by the respective CEOs. This is well worth consideration by people who are not risk averse and should regard it as part of a diverse portfolio. As with anything else do carry out your own due diligence.
