The Talent Hunter is a talent sourcing training business, founded in 2019 and now recognised by recruiters in more than 100 countries. It was built on a simple idea: that recruiters get better results when someone actually teaches them how, rather than leaving them to work it out alone. Founded by Vanessa Raath, a former teacher turned recruiter, the business blends education, empathy and genuinely sharp sourcing technique. Over the years it has trained thousands of recruiters and delivered keynotes on five continents, helping teams uncover the talent everyone else misses, build personal brands worth following, and write outreach that people actually reply to. In 2023, after live training built up a five-month waiting list, The Talent Hunter launched its Online Academy, a self-paced platform that now sells courses before they've even gone live. Then in 2024 came AI Fluency Workshops, hands-on sessions that take recruiters through prompt mastery, digital avatar creation and building their own custom GPTs, so they can move faster on the heavy lifting without handing over the parts of the job that only a human can do well. That's the thread running through everything The Talent Hunter does. AI handles the tasks, humans handle the trust. Hundreds of recruitment teams have now been trained to use AI properly, without losing the human judgement that makes them worth hiring in the first place.

I loved every second of my training with Vanessa from The Talent Hunter. I've been in sourcing and recruitment for over a decade and this training was so different and completely mind-blowing. A whole new world opens up! Vanessa not only teaches you the why and how but instills a methodology that can be applied to sourcing in any industry or field. Her sense of humour and great meme game is the cherry on top!
