An employee threatened me and has been harassing me and spending excess time around my door. The company did not do anything and still allows this strange man to work

I am extremely frustrated with Valet Living. I have dealt with consistent missed trash pickups ever since I moved into this complex 4 months ago. To make matters worse, the service has even provided false photos claiming that either they collected my trash when they didn't, or that my trash was not in their trash bin so that's why they didn't collect it. Fortunately, I have my own timestamped photos proving exactly when my trash was set out and showing that it was left entirely uncollected and in their trash bin. We are forced to pay a mandatory monthly fee for this service through our lease, yet we are receiving dishonest tracking instead of the basic service we pay for. This should be an optional service for leaseholders not mandatory since Valet Living cannot fulfill their side of the agreement. This is the truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced with any company in my life.

I wish this was a service I could opt out of on my lease agreement. So often it seems they just simply refuse to pick up trash. Once in a while, okay stuff happens. But I’ve had to complain a few times because they simply stop picking it up again. I’ve gone days, over a week without pickup sometimes. There have been times the downstairs neighbours get their trash picked up but not me and others on the second level. Hate that I have to pay for infrequent service.

We had valet living trash pickup at our apartment complex and they were absolutely horrendous. They continuously wouldn’t come to pick up trash. We had the one week where they missed 3 of the 5 days and never let residents know they weren’t picking up trash. They were so bad our apartment had to cancel our contract with them and get a new trash service. Would give 0 Stars if I could.

I've now lived at three properties "serviced" by this garbage company that somehow seems to have a local monopoly on the "provided service" and with the exception of one guy, their employees are just about as garbage as the stuff they, sometimes, haul away. I would highly advise that any properties using their services allow the contract to expire and then get someone else, any companies not serviced by these guys (which may include people under their contract, since actual service from these guys is more intermittent than a spotty internet connection) should just avoid them like the plague they are. Garbage removal service isn't difficult to begin with, but these guys can't seem to get it done with any regularity regardless. Not to mention that they bail on you on Friday and Saturday nights. You know. The nights when people have the most trash to put out? I do not know how much they're charging, but it's still too much. I went to leave a complaint on their website? Apparently, if you're not a property manager? They couldn't give a crap less, which is fitting for bottom feeders like these jackasses. How dare anyone think about criticizing them. Absolutely ridiculous.

I wish I could have given this company ZERO stars. This is the worst managed company I've ever come into contact with. These apartment complexes should be ashamed for associating with this vendor. It feels like theft of services because we are paying for a service that does nothing. I hate that its a mandatory item on leases. This company works when they want, picks up some trash when they want, and then piles it up on curbsides either leaving it or tossing it "near" the dumpsters. Who runs a company like this? Its absolutely pathetic. When you contact them about missed pick-ups they apologize and say they will "look into it." Nothing changes and its the same trash sitting outside for a week at a time. Its truly shameful.

Horrible service ever. Never ever experienced such horrible service. They have collected thrash from my apartment only since 3 days. They collect thrash from every other apartment even if it’s not in the thrash box except my apartment. I called and complained still no one bothered to respond back or call me back . I would urge every apartment manager not to use their service. Horrible and disgusting.

Is crazy to not be able to opt out of a service that you don't receive.. the service is spotty at best.. they might pick up your trash once in a week if you're lucky. They never come at a consistent time and there is always an excuse. Trying to reach out the customer service is a joke as well this is been one of the downsides to force trash service at apartments

If I could give negative stars I would. They arrive at inconsistent times and are VERY loud. I work at 5 AM and late night pickups wake me up with the banging and dragging sounds of trash. 1 out of 7 days a week will they actually collect my trash because I’m on the 3rd floor (top floor), and the managers always blame me for not putting my trash out on time (not true). Please do not support this service. It’s a scam.

From April 13 through April 20, our trash was properly bagged, securely tied, and set out during the required service window. We were not given any warning, violation notice, or other indication that our unit had failed to comply with the valet trash rules.

Nevertheless, trash from our apartment was not picked up. It accumulated outside our front door to the point that it became difficult to exit the apartment safely.

I called Valet Living about this issue on Tuesday, April 14; Wednesday, April 15; Thursday, April 16; and Friday, April 17. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I spoke with Candace. On Thursday and Friday, I spoke with two other agents. Each agent confirmed that the trash should have been collected and that there was no valid reason it had not been picked up.

On Thursday, April 16, I also received an email from Arkyell Gardner, Area Leader for Valet Living, stating that “there were no observations submitted by the collector that would have prevented the waste from being serviced.” Arkyell further stated that Valet Living “will ensure the missed waste is removed during the next scheduled service (4/16).”

Despite that assurance, on the morning of April 20, the trash still had not been collected.

This is not a complaint about a one-time inconvenience. It is a complaint about repeated nonperformance of a service for which residents are being charged.

No trash pickup more than twice! The entire 3rd floor was left with full trash cans. We did not receive notification that pickup was canceled and there is NOT bad weather. They just did not come because they hire lazy employees. Do not do business with them

Since my complex started using this trash service, I never had an issue with my recycles that are clean and in brown paper bags being picked up until last Tuesday, January 6, 2026. We have a new guy that refused to pick them up. He had a nerve to try to argue with me about the recycles. Mind you I watched the last guy place the brown paper bag in the bin and go on about his business. This jerk walked past my door last night, Sunday, January 11, 2026, decided to come back and take a picture. I emailed Kate and she apologized, but ended up taking his side and sent me the policy. Here is their twisted policy. Brown paper bags are not considered recycles. They want recycles in a clear or blue plastic bags. 🤔 Funny how they pick up brown broken down boxes, but not brown paper bags. They need to update their policy or provide bags for recycles like they provided those cheap trash cans. My complex has us paying for this half a$$ service that we did not ask for and we can't get our recycles picked up unless they are in plastic and not in brown paper bags. How does this make any sense. Funny, they reported me to my complex who did not see what I did wrong. Hopefully they get rid of them like the last trash company and find one more accommodating to the tenants in my complex.

They didn't pick up our trash for the first Three Days and we had to call management repeatedly to even get their technicians out here. And when the technicians are here, they're a bunch of whiny little babies that refuse to even pick up a trash bag that I can pick up with one hand because it's 'too heavy', after not having the service for 3 days because of New Years. You literally pay more and get less service done than you would with city trash. They have weird arbitrary rules so they don't have to pick up your trash but then you still have to pay them. It makes sense why they're a trash company because they are trash

They frequently skip picking up the trash in my apartment complex for no reason at all— believe me, I’ve inquired with apartment management to make sure that I wasn’t being flagged for anything that would have prevented them from picking it up. They’ll go up to three days in a row of not picking up trash, and it gets to a point where you just have to assume that the company and its employees are simply lazy. If it were up to me, I’d get rid of their services immediately, and I wish my complex would get rid of them ASAP

I am also rating a 1 star as 0 is not available. We received a notice of a past due invoice. I have tried calling, emailing, leaving voicemails, chatting with someone online for almost a week now and am still unable to connect with a live person to take care of the bill. It is a scam company. We do not use them yet received a bill saying we have a past due invoice for $7200.

I have boxes from deliveries they ask you to broke them down in a bag which is waist of time I wish I can change them but unfortunately my building theydont have trash disposal

I just moved into my new apt and Valet Living did not provide the proper trash can for me. I had my small bag of trash outside my door. They bothered to write a note, but did not pick up the small bag even though they had the trash cart right there wheeling it by. This is everything that is wrong with the United States of America. No common sense leadership. They had to have known the apt was vacant before and now somebody is there and deliberately escalated the issue. Poor leadership, poor service, and very dissatisfied. If I ever get on the board here, I will get rid of this vendor.

1 star because 0 isn't an option. I have proof photos. they opened my trash and dumped garbage into my can took the bag 2 days in a row. I reported it to management and they said they would look into it. day 3 they took the garbage out sat it on top of the can because it was too full...well it had 2 days trash not over filled not leaking but they punched a hole in it and reported this was why they didnt take it to my leasing manger. We cant opt out of the payment of the service and this is what we get. Their reasoning with management the trash isnt sanitary. Show me some sanitary trash please. very unprofessional and lazy.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company, which proved to be completely unprofessional and reckless. We decided to cancel our contract with them, and rather than handling the situation professionally, they chose to retaliate in the most damaging way possible. After cancellation, they failed to fulfill their responsibilities, causing trash to pile up on our property. This led to a complete mess that was not only unsightly but also created potential health hazards. To make matters worse, they caused significant damage to our property in the space was astonishing. In the end, we had no choice but to ask them to leave our property completely, as their unprofessional behavior made it impossible for us to continue working with them. Their actions were not only disappointing but also completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and avoid the trouble we encountered.
