Small tours with less than 5 people per group allow a much more personal tours experience. Vagabond Tours of Ireland offers a wide range of tours, both adventure style ("vagabond") and more laid back casual tours ("driftwood"). We took two Driftwood tours back to back in September, the 6-day Northern Ireland and the 7-day Treasure Ireland. Two distinctly different tours, both amazing. We had excellent tour guides, Danny for Northern Ireland and Conor for Treasure Ireland. Both guides were wonderfully knowledgeable and passionate about Irish history and culture, sharing so much information every day, while also providing great humor and thoughtful care to every individual in each group. We discovered we would have been better suited on Vagabond active tours as we like more adventurous interactions, such as longer hikes and activities like kayaking and cycling, but that in no way detracted from the more laid back Driftwood tours. Both guides worked to tailor daily plans based on weather patterns and the energy level of the group. We saw so many amazing and beautiful places, a good mix of nature and culture, and we thoroughly enjoyed every single day. Highly recommend small group touring, and Vagabond Tours clearly have this mastered.

Damian, our guide, was wonderful! Funny and so knowledgeable. We saw so many place we would never have seen if we were touring on our own. The accommodations were unique and outstanding. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see all of Ireland from a different perspective.

The trip exceeded my expectations. I had been trying to get to Ireland for years. But a daughter's wedding, then the pandemic and then the arrival of our grandson caused us to put the trip off for 5 years. We finally made it and it was spectacular.
Lisa, our tour guide was fantastic. She shared history and anecdotes about Ireland. We loved her demeanor, patience, humor and interest of our fellow passengers.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention Diedre (spelling) who was our guide for 1 day while we were in Dingle. She was charming...and she could sing!
I could go on and on about the stunning scenery but since you live there, you already know about that. The warmth of the Irish was heartfelt, the excursions were memorable and truly, I have spoken to many about your company.

Our driver was brilliant. He Really cared about his passengers and imparting his knowledge of Ireland. Conner was really into the details of the itinerary into Northern Ireland. There were no surprises during the trip. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company or Conner!

Almost too many reasons to say why the trip was so magnificent, but I’ll give it try. First of all, the country is beautiful. Some of the views I saw were spectacular and the people we met went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. I have already highly recommended Driftwood Tours to others back here in the States.
Brian Feno was simply outstanding as our tour guide. He continually adjusted our travels so that all of our needs were met, whether it be a snack, a bathroom break, or a timely dinner. His knowledge of Irish culture and the Irish countryside impressed us everyday. Bottom line, I know that you have great tour guides, but it’s hard for me to believe that you have anyone who is better at this job than Brian. Thanks to all of you for a great trip.

Our tour guide, Steve, was entertaining and informative. While driving between destinations he kept the conversation going to give everyone the opportunity for questions. The driver for our 2 days in Dingle was excellent as well (sorry I don’t remember her name).

Our 15 day Driftwood Tour was more than we could have expected. We had fabulous guides: Brian, Angela and Dee. Our travel mates were the best. Our guides were so knowledgeable and allowed us to set the pace. We are ready to go back on another Vagabond tour.

My wife and I had a wonderful week on our Vagabond tour of Ireland. We pretty much saw all of Ireland in 7 days, what made the trip so special was having our guide Vaughan. He was so knowledgeable and interesting with the stories, history and recommendations he gave our group. The tour takes you to many wonderful places and towns. Highly recommend Vagabond, first rate and professional operation.

It is hard to explain but it was everything. Our guides/drivers were amazing. Being in a small van rather than a big bus, we went on back roads basically the whole trip. We saw more of the beauty of Ireland than a big bus can. Our guides/drivers really cared about out trip and wanted to make it extra special, and they did!

This was the perfect tour. Great people and our sweet guide was the best ! Thank you for a perfectly organized trip and for showing us your beautiful country and wonderful

Absolutely a great trip. Not only was our guide knowledgeable about history, Ireland, nature and more, he also took us to out of the way places that were so interesting and memorable.

The small group tour was perfect for us. The accommodations were excellent, our guide was entertaining, personable and knowledgeable, and the places we visited were amazing. We always had enough time to explore and our last two nights in Kinsale were wonderful. Highly recommend!

Our 7-day tour along the Wild Atlantic Way was the trip of a lifetime! Sarah was an amazing guide who knew the gorgeous secret locations for beaches and hikes. At times it felt like we were the only tourists around. Seeing larger tourist buses get rushed along affirmed that we made the right choice we Vagabond. Go for the excursions; you won't regret horseback riding and kayaking in Dingle. We loved all the lodging and were thrilled to take part in their green initiatives with glasses, pitchers, and a water fountain instead of using disposable everything. Having Vagabond take care of all the planning and driving was such a relief and made our trip feel super luxe without the super luxe pricing. This was such a special trip and we can't recommend it enough! We will definitely go with Vagabond when we return to Ireland.

From the beginning to the end this was a wonderful experience. The pre trip information we received from Rob and team along with quick response to any questions we had was much appreciated. Our guide, Tadhg, did an amazing job. His knowledge of the country along with quick wit and endless patience made us very comfortable. Having Tadhg's superb driving and then just stepping off the van and not waiting in lines for tickets or even hotel keys made for a stress free adventure.

We had a wonderful experience with Driftwood Tours. Everyday was perfect. Our driver, Sarah was the best! She was polite, funny and knowledgeable about all things Irish. She is so very proud of her heritage and homeland you can feel the love when she describes her country as we toured. The hotels were great, the food delicious and plentiful. The towns we visited were genuine and not a tourist trap. We were blessed with sunshine everyday. We started calling our guide Sunshine Sarah as it seemed it was following her where ever she went. We meet some wonderful people on the tour and made lifetime memories. I will never travel on a big bus tour after doing a small tour (14 people max). Everyone got along and I think we became friends along the way. Ireland is a beautiful country and the best way to experience it, is with Vagabond/Driftwood Tours!
