Bought a USP that turned out have a faulty main board, and rather than ask fore the old one back they simple sent me another. Good customer support

I've bought a number of UPSs from UPS trader, from about 500 VA to 3000 VA. Nathan, who I assume is the owner, has never once suggested the more expensive models.

Today I was told the APC SUA XLI series are the most reliable, and not to be persuaded by manufacturers blurb or higher prices. If you want to pay £650 for a 3000 VA UPS with digital displays for load and battery they will sell you one, but they will suggest a £400 more basic one is better! APC, along with other manufacturers, will always produce newer models, with more fancy features - digital displays for battery percentage that have a resolution of 1%, but probably an accuracy closer to 20%, so these fancy features are of no real use.

They are also very flexible. I ordered an APC SUA48XLBP 48V DC Battery Pack to triple the runtime of a 3000 VA UPS. They only had the one, and managed to drop it from a fork lift truck, so needless to say it got damaged! So they cancelled the order, and suggested another model of battery pack (SUA48RMXLBP3u) which would fit, at the same price. However, I would have preferred the SUA48XLBP, so asked if I could have the one that fell off the fork lift truck, and them send me a better condition one when they get one. Nathan said he was willing to do that, although there might be a long wait. I decided to go ahead, get the damaged one, and them send a good one, without batteries at a later date.

A couple of years ago I bought a UPS and a battery fault developed 6 months later. A replacement was quickly sent out.

I asked once for the price of a serial cable. I was given a price, but it was suggested a network card was not much more, and is much more useful. They did not suggest the most expensive card that would fit. The network card was indeed a much better solution than a serial cable.

So essentially Nathan will tell you whatever he thinks is the best solution.

Not a good 1st transaction with them and it most certainly the last time. These are NOT recommend these and their practices are poor.

I've been dealing with UPS Trader for years. Nathan is extremely straight forward to deal with. Ask a question, you'll get a quick and concise answer or some good advice on what product will meet your needs.

Products always arrive well packaged and on time. Prices are fair. Having had lots of UPS's off them over the years I have only ever had to rely on their RTB warranty once - but I can assure you they stand by their products 100%.

Excellent company to deal with.

I purchased an APC UPS from this company via ebay, arrived in good time and well packaged. Worked a treat. Unfortunately after about 7 months the UPS failed, I contacted the company as it had a 1yr warranty sticker on the top of the device and after an initial issue with email communication they assessed the unit from a video I sent in and immediately sent out a replacement. I find the real test of a company is the after sales and if they honour what they say they will. I can safely say in this instance they have done exactly that. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again or recommend them to others.

Ordered a Tripp Lite UPS from UPS Trader.

My servers were sporadically powering off whilst connected to it. Checked settings/reset to default. Reported to UPS Trader (Nathan) and replacement was sent out within days.

Same issue was occuring. Troubleshooting led to the belief that the specific Tripp Lite was aggressively trimming the voltage (AVR) from ~240 to 216 or lower. My servers didn't like that.

UPS Trader were happy to send a replacement Eaton UPS which arrived promptly and collected the two Tripp Lites.

Can't fault UPS Trader. Customer focused and saw the issue through to the end. Trusted my judgement/troublshooting and happy to send out hundreds of pounds of equipment in lieu of payment until we'd sorted the issue.

Recommended.

Precise and professional business experience, no one knows about UPS like these guys. Fast efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.

I know ups trader uk for many years and I was finally ready to make my purchase.
15 minutes before office hour I did my purchase.
5 minutes before office hours I received the tracking number.
An hour later I got email the item was not in stock anymore.
They offered me a more powerful product then purchased for free, I accepted that.
Later that day it was shipped and next day delivered over sees.
I had to pay import duties like expected and I paid it online. I like the speed and product of ups trader uk.
Very fast reaction, shipping, good product and I saved many money by buying it second hand.
Highly recommended, all ok!

My experience with this company was extremely negative. From the buying experience to the surprise follow-up and hounding of their customer service rep once I posted a review on their site.

I purchased a UPS from this company and after a week of it not arriving I had to follow up to track the item down. To my surprise the item had been shipped back to their warehouse and they had to ship it back out again with another courier. The company insisted this was my fault because I had selected United Kingdom as the delivery country instead of Ireland... The item was shipping to Northern Ireland which is located in the United Kingdom, not Ireland... The item was shipped back out and again I had to get in contact with the company because they had again sent the item to the wrong location. This time the new courier had brought the item to Ireland and I had received a request by the Irish customs office asking me to pay a very high customs fee before they would forward the item back to the United Kingdom as the company had again sent it to the Republic of Ireland. There were back and forwards emails with the courier and eventually the item was released without charge and sent to the correct location. Upon receiving the item 2 weeks later than the advertised next day delivery I posted a negative review to their main website. It was at this point the company tracked me down and hounded me over multiple days via email about my negative yet completely true and honest review. Their CS rep was extremely unprofessional and childish calling me a "bully" and "Karma will do its work" for posting my review. What I know now is they were baiting me to build up a case to allow them to remove/modify my review to alter it and turn me into the bad guy as they now claim "I'll reserve the right to add this to your feedback". I requested the contact details of this reps manager multiple times but they refused to send any details.

A final observation is do not trust the reviews on their main website. These are hand picked positive reviews as since writing my review they have done a cleanup deleting all negative reviews and only a handful of 5 star reviews remain. This is a scammy company that should not be trusted.
