No-Show & Electrical Qualifications Request Ignored
I contacted Upper Street Contractors for a quote for 3 jobs, 1 involving electrical works.
I detailed each job, providing them with multiple images.
When I asked, they failed to provide details of their electrical qualifications, which was highly suspicious to me.
They then failed to turn up for our home consultation, with no notice.
A 2-hour arrival window which THEY had chosen.
When I chased them up about the missed appointment, they told me that they’d failed to book it in their system and asked to re-schedule it.
My faith in their services now slimmer than Chalamet, I asked again for verification of their electrical qualifications, before rescheduling.
Their response was “look for another company to help you”, with no discernible explanation.
Wild!
My advice; if you want safe electrical work done, ask to see this business’s qualifications before giving them any of your time.
I’ve been unable to find this business on any electrical register (e.g. NICEIC), however, they failed to give me any details so…
Electrical safety can’t be taken lightly.

Third time in a year
This is the third time in a year that we have had Upper Street Contractors here to do quite substantial jobs, refitting the bathroom and kitchen and now installing an unvented hot water cistern and removing the cold water tank. Great work on a pocket door
The Upper Street Contractors team finished off work on a pocket door which a large and well known contracting firm (which I shall not mention) failed to complete. The work was a bit tricky and the result is outstanding. They replaced a wall panel and decorated the area in record time and it looks fantastic. The team were efficient and very tidy. I am a huge fan and will definitely use them again

Relaid old outside tiles
The outdoor tiles were loose and generally not safe. The Upper Street Contractors took them all off and relaid them in their original pattern. They also built up part of the wall on both sides of the door to give additional support. The work is good and I am confident the tiles are secure.
They also fixed a Ring doorbell. Thank you. It was a little delayed due to a mis communication but I am very happy with the result.

Old outside tiles relaid
Old outside tiles were taken off and relaid to ensure they were secure. Tricky as some tiles were a bit delicate. Five stars for the work carried out, They also fixed me a Ring doorbell. My only complaint is that due to a change of date and some mis-communication this was delayed (and it would have been very handy if it had been done in time for Halloween!)

Upper Street Contractors are great
The wonderful Upper St Contractors do it again. This time the project was a small area of decking with a step down. We had some problems with the weather not cooperating but they kept me up to date with all the changes in plan and fitted the job in really quickly. The two operatives were (as ever) skilled and courteous and left the place very clean. I hadn't met these particular operatives before, and though English wasn't their first language, they were excellent communicators. They made design decisions very very carefully, discussing them with me at length and explaining options very clearly.
I am very pleased with my new decking area. Thank you Upper St Contractors

I have used this company before. They always explain what they are doing, answer queries, are polite, efficient and clean up well after themselves. The work was done to a high standard. On this occasion they came up with two alternative options to fix the causes of a serious leak, explained the pros and cons of both, and were helpful and transparent without putting pressure on us.
