Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear you felt the trip did not represent good value, and we want to address a few of the points you've raised.

Guided walking tours, across the industry, do not typically include entry fees to individual attractions. Our tours are led by professional local guides and cover the key landmarks, history and culture of the destination. We will ensure this is communicated more clearly in the future.

Regarding the trip duration, we advertise based on the number of calendar days the trip spans so that participants can plan around lectures and other commitments. We are always transparent about flight times once bookings are confirmed, and whilst we always aim for evening to evening or morning to morning flights to maximise time in destination, flight availability and pricing can on occasion limit our options. On this occasion we appreciate that the flight times will have reduced the time spent in destination and we are sorry for that. We will continue to work to ensure departure and return times are communicated as clearly and as early as possible.

We work closely with committees to build itineraries that suit their group, and we intentionally keep a lot of the itinerary as free time to keep the base price accessible for those who do not wish to engage in additional activities. We supplement this with destination guides covering popular sites and attractions, and our leaders are always on hand to offer further recommendations.

We want to make things really clear. UniLife was built by ex-committee members and students to make student group travel as affordable and accessible for everyone as possible. We are extremely disappointed to hear you think we are trying to rip off students, which is the exact opposite of what we try to do. We are extremely transparent with our trip prices and all of the inclusions before anyone books onto a trip, providing a line by line breakdown on the trip page of exactly what is and is not included in our trips which is shared with all participants before any tickets are purchased. Our goal has and always will be to support committees and students in having positive experiences when they travel with us.

We're sorry you did not feel the price matched the inclusions on this occasion. Whilst we work hard to keep our pricing competitive in the student market, we also try to maintain a balance of free time and planned activities, working with committees to ensure the base price is not inflated by optional activities that some individuals may not wish to participate in.

We supplement this with destination guides covering popular sites and attractions, and our leaders are always on hand to offer recommendations.

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that you didn't have a positive experience with UniLife.

Having checked our records, we can see that the trip included not only flights, accommodation, transfers and trip leaders, but also a professional and private guided walking tour, as well as a bar crawl.

We take pride in working with committees of different size and group types to provide a desirable trip for their members for a competitive price. Whilst we do provide options for committees to book optional extras for the group, we leave this at their discretion to keep the base trip price low for those who don't wish to engage in optional activities. Additionally, we provide all trips with destination guides that include popular sites and attractions to visit, whilst always encouraging our leaders to provide additional suggestions to participants.

Regarding trip leaders, we are incredibly proud of our leaders and how they conduct themselves. They go through a thorough training process, and will always try their best to solve any situations that take place. Naturally, some situations are incredibly dynamic and leaders may not have experienced certain situations before. Our helplines and HQ are always available to assist any participants who are facing difficulties during a trip.

In the case of lost passports, our trip leaders are trained on the steps required to obtain emergency travel documents and share this guidance with participants directly. They are not, however, able to visit the embassy or complete the necessary forms on a participant's behalf. We were aware of this incident and were pleased to hear that the document came through in time for the return flight.
