Beware of trying one of these events. I cant fault the coaching. The coach clearly had passion and knowledge when it came to the skills. The event reps were not always present at sessions and post event didn't follow up as he said he would.

Now the one star?

Throughout the run in we are told that we would be paired with someone of an equal ability, fitness level, weight and age. I found myself with a complete miss match, paired with someone 16 years younger than me. It became clear very quickly that he was more experienced, fitter and i had zero chance of having a competitive fight. Not only does this put a downer on the entire event its not safe to have such a large gap in age and ability.

I attended the training sessions and the mandatory sparring sessions where it was clear to see my ability. I have no idea how/why i was paired with someone much younger and fitter when we were told throughout how we would be matched.

It was after the event i have found out my opponent is a 21 year old football fitness coach. I am 37 and work in an office. Its clear this matching was not equal and highlights a history of poor and unsafe matchmaking which i wished i had researched prior to the event.

I would not recommend this organisation in any way based on their responses to stating that a 16 year age gap is considered a fair match on my previous google review. I am aware of other large gaps in the same event a 34 year old was pair with a 19 year old. At no point were this group of younger guys, who clearly knew eachother, paired to fight.

Had an amazing time at the Swansea advent watching the MMA and boxing. Can't wait for the next one.

The coaching staff and the medical people was great. The referee and the boxing part was professional. Team Savage was excellent, Jed the instructor was quality, that part I would like to score 5*. My low score is based on the event day itself. The whole day was very basic, cheap and nasty. To pay all that money to sit in a half empty sports hall where the standing tickets was as good as the VIP tables, which where pop up canteen tables with plastic chairs, no food, all drinks in cans. The walk out was terrible and the music choices I sent over never got played dispite sending over loads of emails and trying to reach out to the organisers. I genuinely felt embarrassed charging my friends for a table and making them dress up. Just to clarify this may only be an isolated location as they do different locations throughout the UK, which must be better.

The whole 8 weeks of training with CBK gym was amazing and definitely taught me alot. The night was spectacular and was honestly the best experience I ever had. UWCB put on such an amazing event. It was organised, timed very well, facilities were great and you just couldn’t fault it.
Anyone looking to do it, I would 100% recommend it. You won’t regret it.

From my first meeting to even after fight night it's been amazing!
I didn't think I would get so obsessed with the training, my fitness level has increased no end and my weight has dropped by 5kg. I've met the best bunch of people and had the most memorable fight night!
I would highly recommend to everyone to do at least one UWCB!

Cbk really look after you throughout the whole process.
I found a lot of new friends by joining up to this and found a new sport I enjoyed doing.
They don’t let you fall behind and make tou feel part of the group and team.
I was fat lazy and spending a lot of time on my own at home eating crisps and laying on sofa. But this has given me something to focus on and get into good shape and part of a community.
Fully recommend the experience to anyone who wants to try this

I recently had my uwcb fight on the 21st of march. I had the most amazing time training. Not just physically but mentally, also met some lovely people while doing so. I had that much fun that I am planning on taking part again. The amount of effort that goes into everything is so greatly appreciated. All my family and friends who attended the event had an amazing night as well.

Taken part in three UWCB events now. All three have been a brilliant experience, the 8 weeks training at CBK Gym was fantastic, got me in the best shape of my life (at the age of 42)! I’d thoroughly recommend anyone to sign up and give it a go, it’ll be the best decision you’ll make. Oh and you get to box in front of a huge crowd and it’s all for a good cause too.

One of the best experiences I have ever done!! The coaches were really patient and able to teach proper stances and boxing techniques.
It felt like a real family and I loved every single minute of the training.
Very rewarding and a great way to get fit.

Great event overall. The venue itself was a bit run down and could really do with a lick of paint.

The bar staff were great and very friendly, although the drinks were a bit expensive.

Regarding security, most of the staff inside seemed to be sitting down or on their phones, which didn’t look very professional. Outside, the dress code didn’t seem to be enforced consistently, as some people were let in wearing whatever they wanted.

The lads who were sat outside searching people came across as quite aggressive and intimidating. However, the two female staff members on the door were absolutely spot on – they were very nice and went above and beyond to help people. They would be better placed outside more often.

The lads doing the searches could improve their attitude, as they came across more like bullies.

It would also be good if food was sold inside. The hot dogs that were available weren’t very nice.

Excellent event at Liverpool Olympia, Security are 10/10, all staff so helpful keep up the good work Ultra❤️

Been this show a good few times in Olympia Liverpool . Its a great event which is run smoothly with some great fights for charity ! .
