Worth It
I found the feedback to be very helpful. I wish I could pay for batches of reviews rather than with a monthly subscription - regardless, I do think this is a very useful service.
Selvom vi ikke verificerer specifikke påstande, fordi anmeldernes meninger er deres egne, kan vi godt betegne anmeldelser som "Verificerede", når vi kan bekræfte, at der har fundet en forretningsinteraktion sted. Læs mere

Our club has used @ugly_baby.io with great results from their testers. They are timely, very detailed narration and gave invaluable insights. Highly recommend.
I received 8 videos within 24 hours. Real people with valuable advice. Not just random people but people who have experience reviewing websites and gave really valuable feedback. I paid for 3 minute videos but some ended up being much longer and more in depth. It was not a roast, it was informative and actionable feedback. I even got a few new feature suggestions for the app the website is about. I highly recommend uglybaby
I've ordered 14 videos over 3 days. As context, my product is a custom handmade tumbler. Think Etsy-style craftsmanship on a standalone website, not a mass-produced widget.
The videos arrived amazingly fast; I had some within 30 mins. The first 5 videos from day one were GREAT - actionable feedback with common threads that clearly pointed to necessary site adjustments - not easy to hear but 100% what I needed to improve the site. I made all the suggested changes and requested 4 more videos the next day.
3 of the next 4 videos were a mixed bag. They contradicted each other: too much text, not enough text, not enough images, too many images. Sometimes questioning things that were literally explained on the screen they were looking at, as if they expected to understand a product without reading anything or looking at the pictures.
It made it hard to decipher what changes to make, which made the feedback seem less useful at first. But they have this option to copy the transcripts and paste into AI...which I did. And boom, a separation of clear action items from "noise" emerged (bc no one will be able to please everyone).
So off I went to make more updates, and then ordered 5 more videos. And amazingly - the shift happened - the reviews started to improve .... no purchases yet, but testers had better experiences, feedback got even more specific. It was CLEAR that the buyer experience had improved. I went from "I give up" to "maybe this can work after all".
So brace yourself, because you will need to separate what you can/should actually change from "noise" of not being able to please everyone, and you'll need to resist the urge to disregard too much ... but when you're open to it and address the common threads, MAGIC happens.
Also, I did have a concern at one point (no longer worth detailing), and customer service was super prompt and thorough.
The service has taken me from "why are people coming to my website but not buying" to understanding buyer experiences that I was too close to the process to see. It hasn't translated to sales yet, but feels more optimistic than it ever has.
The only constructive criticism I'll note is that the subscription option seems a bit like trying to grab money from people who forget to cancel. Your ads pulled me in with "$4 videos" and then at checkout, I had to input my credit card for $hundreds/yr. if I don't cancel after a 7-day trial.
It seems a bit like hoping people will forget to cancel to grab the $ rather than just charging a bit more for the service and not requiring the annual agreement. I'd have been more inclined to sign up for a monthly service with x videos included and stay for a bit. Now I'll rush through $4 videos over the next 7 days and then bounce because I needed the service to try to grow sales, not because I have hundreds to pay for it.
If you're a new/small business feeling stuck, definitely try this service - just set a reminder before the free trial ends. :)
"After seeing these ads we did the service. It's unbelievable how fast they get back to you and also unbelievable the reality of the comments you get. Extremely realistic and helpful and brutal LOL. We are already making changes to improve our website! Genius of service! Highly recommended!"
Not gonna lie, their ad got me on facebook, and their service was fantastic. Super helpful commentary, already made a bunch of tweaks to my business website, well worth it in my opinion. Funny ad too. I'll be having them go over my website again after making some changes
The feedback is gold, including and especially negative feedback. I really appreciate the reviewers' taking the time and giving their candid assessments (the good, the bad, and the oh-so-ugly). The reviews were delivered promptly and in multiple formats -- both video and a written transcript, which was very helpful. The summaries are excellent and also very helpful.
UglyBaby also takes all video reviews and further summarizes them for you so that you see -- in one spot -- what is working and what is not.
I am going to do another round of reviews after I make all the improvements and look forward to the post-improvement reviews.
If you have an e-commerce business, you need this service. UglyBaby is a brilliant concept -- thank you for bringing it to market.
My website landing page SUCKED and I didn't know why. After paying for uglybaby.io to provide uncomfortably honest feedback from two professional marketers, I knew the value was immense. So I paid $48 extra to get review from the founder Sam Parlett. Worth every penny!
As a numbers guy, I'm stoked to see the improvement in site dwell times, and conversions.
A great service!
I could request a review, ask people in a specific industry to try the service, and answer one specific question I gave them. Then they recorded a video of their screens as they went through the website and spoke aloud.
I think the service is really good because:
➖ The people who gave feedback were super relevant to our market sector.
➖ They took their time and reviewed the service in detail, pointing out things that were fair and helpful.
Waste of money. Reviews were from people who were just random people, not my demographic, or people who would buy my product. The feedback was not useful. It's like they are just getting paid to give a quick review. So they just find things to say bad about the site. It's not someone coming in looking to buy giving you quality feedback. It was clear they just gave quick feedback so they could get paid. Also I didn't realize the free trial signed me up for a monthly subscription. So I wasted hundreds on credits that were never used and have zero value. Owner said it was my fault and he would not credit me back.
Awesome tool - built for eCommerce marketers - not overly designed and feature-creeped, just straight and to the point.
This service is incredibly useful. I needed outside eyes because I’ve had nothing but praise on my site from colleagues but they’re not who I’m trying to attract. I plan on using them many times going forward.
We used this service, twice in fact. First to get a baseline of issues and then after our site rebuild. Got the key validation elements right but uncovered performance issues that came with the shifts.
Got those addressed, let the site bake in and now will run the tests again and seek real market place feedback. Can't recommend this enough.
I was able to see where my website was missing the mark. The videos gave me insight as to what was confusing or unclear, how people perceived my product and offer, and how I could better present the info. Great insight and actionable data to improve my website, product, and offer.
Amazing service to get unbiased feedback on your projects!
The reviewers were clear and unbiased. They answered my questions and gave me some great ideas to improve my site. Now back on track
Ugly Baby is hands-down one of the most useful tools I’ve ever used for improving a website. It’s basically like hiring a mini focus group that actually tells you the truth—and seeing people talk through your site in real time is way more valuable than asking friends or colleagues who are trying to be nice.
I ran a batch of videos and within the first few, I immediately spotted the things that were confusing, what people couldn’t find (even when the info was technically there), and where they hesitated before taking the next step. A couple comments stung a little, but that’s exactly why it works. I made changes right away based on the feedback.
If you’re a business owner, creator, or agency and you want honest, impartial feedback without bothering your network, I’d recommend Ugly Baby. It’s the fastest way I’ve found to get aligned on what’s broken and what’s working, especially before a redesign or a big marketing push.
Ugly Baby is a fantastic service that I use all the time as a serial small business entrepreneur to test marketing copy with consumers. I have new business ideas all the time, and my first step is usually to throw together a landing page and test conversion rate from ad-driven page views to some CTA (e.g., clicks on "buy now") on a modest budget of a few hundred dollars. Before Ugly Baby, I would run a draft of the landing page by my wife and perhaps a friend or two to refine it before spending money directing traffic to it. Often conversion would be poor and I would have no idea if it was because the product/service was difficult to understand from the marketing copy or because there the product/service truly didn't have any demand in the market. My routine has now changed to have ~10 unique website reviewers on the Ugly Baby platform try to use my landing page and provide feedback on the efficacy of my marketing copy. Doing this has saved me hundreds of dollars in wasted spend on new-idea evaluation! Ugly Baby is a unique service and I strongly recommend that anyone wanting feedback on their website give it a try.
Uglybaby is a fantastic resource! I used it repeatedly to get feedback on each iteration of my homepage. It is so valuable to hear users' unfiltered, in-the-moment thoughts--many of which were things I had never thought of as I designed my homepage. I plan to use Uglybaby for every new landing page to ensure my brand and messaging are as effective as possible!
