Took my money and ignored me. I don't need a second wife..
I bought an item from ubyk on the Feb 15th - no response after four emails listed on the contact details. Finally got onto Peter and I asked for status and all he said was he will get the order cancelled for me. Still no refund and they are ignoring all my further conversations. Now I have to take it up with the bank.
The worst online company I have ever dealt with.
Bunch of thieves.
Robbed me of over £500 and went into liquidation.
Keep away from this company. Full of false promises and lies.

The usual ‘In Stock’ trap and poor customer service
Fell into the usual ‘In Stock’ trap with Ubyk, turns out some was in stock and some wasn’t. Ordered a few EDC parts (2 x top caps and tap kit), despite their website proclaiming that ‘No money will be taken until items are despatched’ as with most complaints on here money was taken immediately. 1 top cap and the tap kit was in stock and were sent straight away. The other top cap was not in stock and I ended up waiting a while. Eventually I emailed and was told it wasn’t in stock but was due in the next day or so. That came and went so I phoned up and got some cock and bull about a shipment was due in from OneUp with my top cap in it. I foolishly enquired about a OneUp dropper which claimed to be available on a specific date (Monday) on the website and was told it was due in Monday (3 days time) and I had better get an order in now to secure one within the shipment. More foolishly I ordered the dropper on a separate order.
Guess what payment again taken immediately and the shipment arrived with Ubyk, top cap was delivered to me next day, no sign of the dropper. 2 days later I call again and was told they must have pre-sold out for the shipment despite the conversation I had previously. Next shipment due in 5 working days. Very angry by now.
Eventually the damn thing turned up and wouldn’t work properly due to in my opinion a critical design flaw with the dropper post itself rather that Ubyk’s problem. However they were less than concerned and suggested no good remedies. In the end through my own creativity I got it working satisfactorily.
Throughout the process two people I dealt with were obviously fully aware they claim to stock things which is blatantly a lie but still have to deal with customers in a professional manner since that’s how the boss operates his business
Sadly it seems they have now gone into liquidation/administration which a lot of people left in the boat where they’ve paid for something they will likely never receive. I guess problems were brewing way back when I ordered my parts and am thankful I wasn’t affected.
Seems to me to be fraud to claim to have things in stock which you don't in order to get people to roder things. Absolutely shameful business practice.

I too have beeen caught by the collapse of ubyk, I ordered a Santa Cruz frame on Black Friday offer. Brilliant deal, I was told when ordering I’d have to wait until early January to have the frame, which I wasn’t worried about as I waited over a month for a nomad last year.
I also ordered a bottom bracket, headset and seatpost, I emailed Steve 11th December to see what’s happening to which he replied the frame eta is unknown and the parts will arrive fitted to the frame. I was happy with all of that even though my payment had all been taken (nearly £2900) and left it at that. I thought I’d look for parts for the bike and see if they had a January sale, to which I see the website is down and saying maintence, but after a few days I googled it to which I find they have gone bust. I’ve had the worst 24 hours in a long time sending emails to peak cycles to find out what’s going on and getting a generic email which other customers have received and also jungle to see if the frame was actually ordered(who I must say are extremely helpful, understanding and very quick to respond) to my surprise they did order my frame, however it hasn’t been paid for.
I’m now in contact with my bank to try and reclaim my money, which isn’t a nice feeling and it’s something I’ve never had to do, or want to do again.
Having delt with ubyk in the past, I’ve had times where items arrive quickly, and times of delay, but I’d never of expected the place to of shut down in this manner.
What it has done though is completely change the way I go about business online, we all look for the best price available, but now the time to support your local bike shops, who might not stock all the anodised parts on there shelves, however they have been there doing there thing for 30 years and will carry on as long in the future, you might have to wait a week to get the part, but at least you know your going to get it safely. It’s also interesting reading other people’s problems in the fiasco and I hope everybody gets there money back

Ubyk have taken my money for an item a month ago, and have received nothing and now the are not trading no more. They have robbed me
Before Christmas can anyone help in how I can get my money back the item they haven’t sent cost £145 just before Christmas how can they do this?
SRAM XO1 cassette...no refund
Returned a SRAM XO1 cassette to the Brighton store in person on the 7th Dec, Manager said the refund would be logged via the system and the Oxford team would process the refund.....Great.
Called several times for update, manager said he would chase... No refund.
Seems like a lot of people have experienced the same issue with this company over the last few weeks.. Personally disgusted by the experience and feel sorry for other people who have lost a lot more than £250.
Fingers crossed the new company can sort this mess out.
Scammers. Avoid at all cost
Avoid buying anything on this site, I've had a terrible experience with them. I ordered a hub that was listed as IN STOCK and nothing got shipped for 4 weeks after my order. I've cancelled my order as a result and still haven't recieved my refund 10 days later.
They either respond to emails sporadically and very delayed, or not at all. Avoid at all costs
Yet another robbed customer
Yet another robbed customer. UBYK took my money at the beginning of December for an "in stock" hope headset. After 7 days of nothing I decided to chase it up, when I did i was then told that the item was out of stock and someone should of notified me.
They said it would be 14 days as it had to come direct from hope. 7 days later the item was still "in stock" on the site. It's now day 19 and I've not recieved anything and it hasn't even been dispatched! Tried contacting UBYK and had no answer via email or phone. I have now been made aware through my own findings that UBYK have gone into liquidation.
Awful fishy how the "14 Day" restocking period also fell on the same day liquidation was declared.
In my opinion nothing but a bunch of corporate crooks!
Disgraceful service, and in my opinion a true untrustworthy burden on the mountain bike community at a time when people are strapped for cash ordering presents. HEARTLESS MOVE!
Will not receive any backing from me again.
Ordered a SC hightower LT - in limbo..?
Ordered a SC hightower Lt, Ubyk have taken a £1500 deposit & allowed the arrangement of finance for the remainder. After the website had been down for a few days I called the finance company for help, they said their sales team were aware that Ubyk were merging with another company (downt know who) and orders would be processed as normal, the website is down as they are building a new one. So I believe they're not officially in liquidation - unless someone knows this for a fact? But it is extremely poor that they haven't made any existing customers aware of the situation.. so for all the negative comments we're giving ubyk, it might be pointless as they're likely to continue training under the umbrella of a different company?? The finance company following up on the official greviance. See what happens....
Took my money gave me nothing
I purchased a Santa Cruz Hightower from Ubyk at the end of November. It was supposed to arrive today (18th of December). I have been trying to contact them for the past few days with zero response. Looking online it seems like they have gone into liquidation.

£400 out of pocket - Ubyk gone bust?
I placed a near £500 order for 'in stock' goods with Ubyk on Black Friday weekend and have yet to receive nearly £400 worth of the goods. Two weeks after ordering I emailed the company as I had not received anything and they said some of it was on back order (despite the website saying it was in stock!). They did however post what they had in stock which was good. However, they are now not responding to emails or phone calls (although someone from the company reported a Trustpilot review today so they are still alive!) and I am some £400 out of pocket and missing Christmas presents for the family. Brilliant! It appears that they have gone into administration so let's see what happens. Thankfully I paid with Visa so can hopefully claim some of it back under Section 75 - fingers crossed. I think it is criminal that the directors were offering up Black Friday deals and taking money for goods they knew they couldn't deliver. Interestingly the confirmation email from Sage said money would not be taken until the order was fulfilled - someone was lying as the money has gone. Ironically Ubyk's moto is 'enjoy the ride' - I can't say I am at the moment!!

Still waiting for breaks ordered over 3 weeks ago; not responding to emails or voice messages left. These are a christmas present for my son. I will be raising a claim via Paypal.
Have they gone into Liquidation?
Received part of my order last week after a three week delay but missing a hope brake and one of my purchases is faulty. No one is answering my emails or calls and judging by other reviews on this site the company may have gone into administration. Luckily I've ordered via pay pal so should be able to get the money for the brake.

£3k Out of Pocket - Company From Hell!
I bought an “in stock” Santa Cruz Bronson 3 weeks ago in the Black Friday sales.
Money was taken immediately and I was looking forward to getting my bike within the week.
I had not contact from UBYK apart from a generic “we’ve been busy and will get the item shipped ASAP”.
I waited a few days and then called their Brighton store.
A helpful chap told me the bike was a special order and being built up at SC. Another few days and no bike.
Friday just gone, I emailed them to request a refund and tried to call them numerous times to no avail. Their website is also “down for maintenance”, which makes me think they really may have gone into administration.
I’m £3,000 out of pocket but paid through PayPal so hoping they will sort it all for me.
What an absolute monstrosity of a company. Avoid like the plague if their website comes back online!

Initial communication suggested frame would arrive at the end of the month.
Now found out that the company has gone into liquidation.
Awful scam of doing a flash sale for big ticket items, taking the money and running. All three directors should be ashamed of themselves.
