Personally for me, most of the best opportunities would require relocation to another city away from where I live. That could be in another state or even neighbouring cities. This comes with a lot of costs and commitments. So earlier even before you were sure of committing to a job for a long period of time, you have to invest in ten different things to be able to start and see how it actually is your cup of tea. And I feel that's really why the majority of the workforce in my network lives with on a day to day basis.
But I had zero worries while joining up with Turing! And to no surprise, it has turned out to be so much more than I expected! I'm definitely holding onto this cup of tea :)
The balance. I've found the focus on work-life balance and well-being extremely refreshing and freeing. You're never overworked or pushed to work beyond 40 hours in a week.
Here at Turing.com, I'm a part of the content team, and I’m primarily helping out with developer facing content and copy efforts. If you’re searching for Turing jobs or you wish to be among us, I'd say just put your best foot forward and showcase the extent of your talent. It will definitely speak for itself, and Turing's ears are always seeking the sound of talented folks!
Hey, I’m a Social Media Specialist at Turing.com.
My work is to analyse and create effective content strategies to drive traction and growth through our social media handles.
Here are the things that I love about Turing:
The freedom to make my own work hours.
Ample time to fit in my workouts and experiment with hobbies I never had time for before!
The fact that nobody from work bothers me outside work hours or on the weekends!
Daily commuting was always an issue for me. I’ve had to let go of prospective opportunities because of their distance from my residence. I don’t have to bother about commuting to work anymore.
The work culture here is so positive! People are always lending each other a helping hand and the management is also very encouraging.
If you’re planning to join Turing, JUST GO FOR IT!
I have never interacted with this company yet they email my personal email, probably sold to them. This kind of action is against data privacy law (specifically GDPR) and it's representative of a shady business.
Hi, I’m from India and I’m part of the content team with Turing.com.
To be honest, I’m not a fan of a regular job. In my previous workplace, I was always traveling and doing most of my work remotely. I believe traveling teaches you a lot, and if you can somehow find a perfect mix of both work and travel at the one time, that’s a heavenly match!
I wasn’t very sure about Turing initially. I only explored their website, followed their social media handles, and read some positive as well as not-so-positive reviews about the company. But like they say, never judge a book by its cover. And that’s what I did! I followed my intuition and now I’m working with the most amazing people across the globe.
The best thing about working at the Turing company is that people here appreciate your work. Even if you make some mistakes, they’re always there to help you out, so you never feel left out.
So far, I’m enjoying working at Turing. I’m part of one of the most critical teams of the organization i.e. content team. I have the coolest mentors who never lose their calm. They have been guiding me through the process and getting me familiar with all the dos and don'ts.
The best thing about working at Turing is now I don’t have to encounter unnecessary stress, or bear futile traveling expenses, and also don’t have to expose myself to pollution.
- No doubt Turing is a startup and it operates as one, so you’ll have enough startup challenges here
- The values, principles, and ethics shared by the leaders trickle down across the entire organization, and they motivate you to take purposeful action at every step
- Remote work has given me the freedom to start my day whenever I want
- I can travel and work at the same time
- People are fun at Turing
- Best mentors you’ll ever find. Cool, calm, and hard-working!
I’m a Content Specialist at Turing.com. My work is to guide and develop the content creation process and strategies to effectively reach the desired audience.
Turing operates remotely round the world, therefore I don’t have to worry about non-remote job issues anymore.
The biggest hassle of working in a non-remote job in my country is commuting. It adds extra hours to your schedule due to the terrible traffic condition. When working at an office, you pay for the costs of commuting and also tend to spend on coffee or snacks for the dreadful "road trip".
Working with the Turing company has many benefits:
- Turing gave me an opportunity to work from home, in fact anywhere.
- I can tailor my day according to my needs
- It helped me achieve good work-life balance.
- I spend more time with family and friends
- I can pursue my hobbies regularly and take up a few new ones too.
- It helped save me from such daily hassle of commuting and it comes with some financial perks.
- I don’t have to worry about traffic and all the commuting expenses anymore.
- The productivity is the same as it was when working from the office.
- I feel more energetic throughout the day.
- Now I can delay the Monday Blues by a couple of hours more :D
- I thought managing teams and communicating with the team members would be difficult in a remote job, but Turing has the right tools which has made this easy.
Turing is a great company to work with. I love the work culture, and working and adjusting is a multicultural teams is fairly easy. We believe and working hard, having fun and making a difference.
Hi, I’m a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Turing.com and my job is to attract and onboard the best candidates for the company. The culture here is very open, collaborative, and Flexible. It gives me global exposure since I’m always working with multiple stakeholders across the globe.
Remote work at Turing has given me the freedom to work in flexible working hours and I don’t have to travel to work anymore.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced organization where innovation is the key and a diverse work culture, then I believe Turing can be the perfect place for you.
I’m based out of Croatia and I’m the Enterprise Pre-sales Team Lead at Turing.com. As part of my work, I get to interact & communicate with different people across the globe, which is great! Anyone planning to apply to Turing jobs, make your motto just like Nike and Just Do It! :)
I work with the Developer Success Team, also known as the Trial Period Buddy at Turing.com
I connect with new developers who are in the trial period to check if they are settling down well or not.
To check if they are getting all the necessary support from the Turing team and the client to make their trial period smooth.
I also have to find out if the developers are facing any challenges, and of course mainly if they like their new project.
I’m also involved with the Hiring Operations at the Turing company in interview scheduling, briefing, and preparation process.
I make sure that the developer is well aware of the client’s profile, share interview-related tips, and recall them about the basic online interview etiquettes.
Sharing responsibility and giving freedom to perform our tasks in our best way are things that I love the most about Turing.
Remote work is a blessing at any given time, especially during this pandemic situation. Here are a few things I love about remote work.
Traveling and commuting is a major problem in my city. Traffic and public transport system are not so good, so people have to drive for hours to get to the office and back home. With remote work, I don’t have to travel anymore.
No more hygiene or sanitization related issues since we’re working from home
Flexible working hours. Can start and complete my work anytime.
And the best thing is that we get to eat freshly cooked meals with our dear ones at home.
Turing has the culture of accommodating all sorts of talent and gives them the perfect atmosphere to develop themselves as per their liking and interest.
Hi, I’m from Pakistan and I’m a Data Scientist at Turing.com. My job at Turing is to optimize & streamline the vetting process for developers and hiring entities.
Apart from Data Science, I’ve recently started focussing on the sales funnel with occasional insights and analyses for the supply ops.
As far as my Turing review is concerned, I enjoy the diversified, startuppy environment at Turing, apart from all the fast learning opportunities. However, my main driving force is remote work. I even worked for 6 months remotely before joining Turing. I find myself very much compatible with a remote and flexible working environment.
The city which I come from has a major traffic problem. During office hours, the traffic situation gets even worse. With the hot whether, it becomes really hard to commute in summer times.
Although, there’s no shortage of regular jobs here, finding jobs in the Data Science sectors is not an easy thing. As I am a Data Scientist, I hardly find any options here tho the situation might be different for devs working in other areas.
Hi, I’m from India and my work is to engage with top Turing developers and help them visualize their career progression. I’ve worked remotely before this and also as a freelancer, but working at Turing is the best experience so far.
Pros:
I get to work with the most talented people from all over the world
The culture is so open it feels like a family here
The CEO truly cares about their employees and speaks from the heart in our meetings
I don’t have to travel for 5-hours daily to my workplace
Excellent growth opportunities
Global exposure
Full-Time remote work
Cons:
None so far
If you’re looking for a full-time remote job with excellent growth opportunities and a workplace that truly cares about you, you should join Turing right away!
Hey, I’m from Croatia. I’m part of the Turing Pre-sales team and my work includes connecting developers with jobs, through onboarding and matching.
I would like to share my Turing review to give you some insight into how remote work experience would be like.
People working at Turing are great, dedicated, fun, and very helpful. Working with Turing.com gives me space to be myself, I love the flexibility and the fact that I can work from anywhere.
Besides the advantage of working remotely (no need to drive to work, savings in time, and eco and sustainable advantage), we are an inclusive community, taking care of each individual in this challenging time, focused on the result, but with a lot of fun. We're always celebrating and appreciating the team as a whole.
If you are joining the Turing company, be open to new opportunities and be yourself :)
I’m a technical interviewer at Turing from India.
I interview developers for Turing jobs and select the best candidates for our customers.
Turing has flexible timings, takes care of a good work life balance, and everyone is active and helping.
For those who want to be a part of Turing, I say go for it, it might be that change/opportunity which you were always looking for.
I am a Turing.com Technical Recruiter. I conduct live coding, fast track interviews for the Turing developer candidates and update the result for next steps. I enjoy the flexible and at most work life balance. This is a very good company to work full time remote. No politics, ethical environment and lots of encouragement from team members. My team is placed across the world and is a very talented team, happy to work with them. I’m interacting and finding world’s top talent on daily basis and building boundary less network.
My role mainly requires me to write blogs, work on scripts for videos and conduct interviews. The best part about Turing is the flexibility it provides with time and the fact that I do not have to step out for work. I save a lot of time that would otherwise go in commute and utilize that in taking time out for myself and my hobbies. One thing that really troubled me in a non-remote job was the fact that I had to get up at least about a couple of hours before the office would begin to get ready and leave for work. At times, it would take about an hour to book an Uber due to the surge in demand for a cab in the early hours of the day. Traffic was another issue. Other than that, the flexibility of time was also a problem. I would not get time to work on my hobbies or skill-sets. Turing has helped me overcome these issues. The flexibility it provides has helped me manage my time better. Working remote has always been a dream, and now that I can work from anywhere, I'd rather work from a hill station than from a cubicle. Honestly, if you're super skilled in your field of work, there is nothing else you need to worry about. In fact, once you join the organization, you are going to have a lot of fun (apart from work, of course)!
I work as an onboarding/matching specialist (i.e. help onboard and match Turing developers) at Turing.com. The flexibility, the privilege not to commute to work is great. You don't have to worry about questions like Why don't I have any free time for myself? What will I cook for my family today? When will I have time to wash clothes or tide the house? The ability not to commute gave me extra time for all those things. But also to be more with my family. I bet everyone can also find few more advantages to this. You have to know that work here is also hard, fun, thrilling and you can learn a lot. Be proactive, open, enthusiastic and bring the best version of yourselves.
I'm based in Utah, USA. I primarily manage the CEO's calendar, help with the executive recruiting process, as well as perform miscellaneous business-related tasks. I feel lucky that my superiors care about my personal growth and development and work/life balance so much. It's a truly great place to work at. If you find Turing's remote work culture interesting, I'd say give it a shot and apply to become one of us. If it doesn't work out, come back later and try again, because we're all about providing opportunities to those that normally wouldn't have them.
I am a Lead ML Engineer at Turing.com. Turing has given me the opportunity to interact with a diverse set of colleagues from across the world. What I love about the company is the freedom to be able to work from where I want, when I want, and face no commute through traffic. I think it is a great place to work, especially if you are looking for global exposure and solid career growth.
I am working with Turing as a Recruitment specialist. The cultural diversity and the exposure here is great. With the people working from different parts of the world, everyday is a new learning experience here. You get to learn a lot from everyone working. I've realized that working with Turing has actually made my life easier. Wherein it has improved my productivity and made me more disciplined in my normal as well as professionals life. Non-remote job had been quite a different for me. Turing is different in every aspect be it the work culture, projects, exposure. I would say if you really want to land a high profile job with global exposure that too while sitting at your home and saving the cost of reallocating, then a Turing job might be right for you.
I work as a full-stack developer at Turing.com from Ghana. I honestly felt a dramatic change in my life when I joined Turing. My financial health is better than ever and I feel I have made more progress as a developer in the 1 year I spent at Turing than all the years before. As a Turing developer, you will get to work on world-class projects with the top tech leaders. If you're a talented developer anywhere else in the world really, you can become a Turing software developer
I work as a Turing Software Developer. I feel I have the best of both worlds. I am able to work for Turing in the heart of Silicon Valley, from the comfort of my home, with great pay and solid growth opportunities. I love the company's close-knit culture and the opportunity to work with talented people from diverse backgrounds. Turing is a great place for skilled software developers who want to take their career to the next level.
