The staff are outstanding with information, communication and professionalism, friendly conversations ,well knowledged in their retreat ,I thought I had to cancel my trip due to circumstances that came up and Carlos and Desiree were there to reassure me I didnt have to miss out on my journey ,quick ressolve and excited for my new date to experience all they have to offer on the retreat, I appreciate all they have done so far and look forward to my trip in the future.
UPDATE: After leaving this review, our training was set live within 24 hours. I appreciate the attention to the matter and also wish it was not because of this review. Their site says it takes 3-5 business days to go live but this took well over a month. The listing process is not straightforward and leads to errors in the listing. I hope the user experience becomes easier and the go-live process faster. I am hopeful now that we have an Account Manager who can help us and I am optimistic that this will lead to bookings of our Yoga Teacher Training.
I have been trying to list our 200 Hour Destination Yoga Teacher Training on BookYogaTeacherTrainings.com and have had THE WORST customer service experience. it has been over a month since I tried to list our training and it still has not been published. We have been in contact wiht someone named Jez who claims their content staff is reviewing the training before listing it but we have not received any other information. I cannot understand why they would not post our training as this is the foundation of their business. It has been a complete waste of time and very disappointing experience.

There was no reference to us at all - website says 'Tailored' - total nonsense. Fortunately the Hotel, the Elizabeth, was great with lovely staff - but that's not what we went for!. Tripaneer and BookYogasRetreats fobbed us off when we pointed out that the 'retreat' was mis sold, so obviously they don't care what they sell and this problem may apply to other retreats on the site. Don't fall for the blurb or at least double check what it means as it just wasn't honest at all. I asked if they or the provider 'OceanWellnessHub' were members of any professional or regulatory bodies and they couldn't answer - so that's a bit of a problem in itself. Will never use them again.

Same thing happened with me like other 1 star reviews. Booked Yubba surf retreat in Tamraght and many things in description was false. Made deposit 95€ to secure my spot but couldn't stay at the place because the organizer Yubba Surf lied in description and the place wasn't like told.
Contacted Tripaneer to get my money back because I got scammed... But,
Tripaneer / booksurfretreats (or whatever) only offered me some 95€ "gift card" to their site... Like I really would like to use their site again?
Not sure what to do now, is it a police thing or something when people steal your money like this right?
Don't use their sites, the risk is too high.

Tripaneer à organisé tout ce trip qui s'est mal passé et n'a été d'aucun soutien.
J’ai passé deux séjours de surf de 4 jours avec "Kubu Surf School à Gili", et malheureusement mon expérience a été très décevante.
Dès le premier jour, des problèmes sont apparus. La poignée de la porte de ma chambre s’est cassée le jour même et cela n’a jamais été réellement pris en charge.
Concernant le surf, je n’ai pas bénéficié de véritables cours. Une session a été annulée car les conditions étaient jugées « trop dangereuses », mais elle n’a jamais été reprogrammée et aucun remboursement n’a été proposé.
Les vidéos et analyses qui étaient promises n’ont jamais été réalisées ni envoyées. J’ai relancé près d’un mois plus tard et l’on m’a répondu qu’elles étaient encore « en cours de tri », mais je n’ai toujours rien reçu.
Le matériel fourni était en mauvais état et inadapté. Certains équipements étaient endommagés, ce qui m’a causé des brûlures, des coups de soleil et de petites blessures (par exemple des chaussures de récif trouées).
Les conditions de surf étaient souvent dangereuses. Nous avons été emmenés à l’eau à marée très basse sur un récif tranchant, au point de pouvoir toucher le récif en ramant. J’ai vu deux débutantes se blesser, et l’instructeur leur a expliqué que c’était de leur faute parce qu’elles « tombaient mal ». À certains moments, l’eau ne dépassait même pas les genoux alors que nous surfions directement au-dessus d’un récif très irrégulier, ce qui était franchement choquant.
Le comportement de l’instructeur était également préoccupant. Il semblait peu qualifié, nous poussait sur les vagues d’une manière qui nous faisait tomber, puis nous reprochait de ne pas savoir surfer.
Lors d’une session, le « professeur » a passé environ la moitié du temps à surfer quasiment seul et à se filmer. Il a ensuite complètement disparu sans prévenir. Je l’ai retrouvé plus tard au shop de planches, en train de se filmer sur son téléphone. La session a duré environ 1h30 au lieu des 2 heures prévues.
Heureusement que j’avais déjà de l’expérience en surf ; sans cela, ces sessions auraient pu être très dangereuses.
J’ai fait part de l’ensemble de ces problèmes à Kubu Surf School et je leur ai envoyé un mail détaillé après mon séjour. Malheureusement, mes remarques ont été ignorées et aucune réponse concrète ni solution n’a été proposée. Cette expérience révèle un manque de professionnalisme, des standards de sécurité insuffisants et un réel désintérêt pour les retours clients.

However the person refuses to refund and book yoga retreats.com has still not taken down the listing even knowing that they're a scam yoga retreat.
Update: offered me $100 voucher for next trip, what a joke.
You still haven't taken their listing down knowing they scammed people so I wouldn't say you did things right on your end , you also won't post my review of them

Booked a retreat based on Tripaneer’s listing saying it was in English. It wasn’t. My participation was cancelled, and despite the incorrect information on their site, they would not cover my flight costs. Not a reliable platform for accurate details.
Moreover their support team took ages and claim was handled every time by a different person so I had to re-explain the problem. Stay away!

I went for the riding experience and it certainly delivered, with many and varied rides on happy and well cared for horses. Abdul, our riding guide was amazing and kept us all laughing!

Tripaneeer is the worst company to try to get a vacation with. They refuse to call you just like Airbnb. Until they get your money. How can you plan a vacation? When you can't even get information first. I'm give anybody a dime until I find out what's going on and how I book the vacation? Oh, my God, do not go here.

I booked a yoga retreat through their site and paid a deposit. Before paying, luckily I confirmed again everything in writing. Eight days before arrival, the resort suddenly told me they had “just booked up all their rooms” and they no longer had space for me (!!!!) and wanted to send me to a derelict, isolated place on the other side of the island — while still charging the same premium price for the accommodation I had originally booked.
When I refused and escalated to Tripaneer, their stance was disturbingly neutral, as if it was perfectly acceptable for a resort to cancel and leave guests stranded days before their holiday. Only when I threatened to report them to the Dutch regulator did they react. They refunded my deposit and offered a €50 pity-voucher — which I’ve since learned by reading the reviews, that its their standard way of brushing people off.
This is not a one-off. The organiser I booked with was clearly luring clients with photos of a nice hotel on a nice beach, then downgrading them last minute to much cheaper properties. Tripaneer knew this (after my incident at least), yet decided to continue working with them - they still advertise their programmes. That in itself shows the duty of care of Tripaneer to their clients is zero.
For anyone considering them: Book directly with hotels or retreat centres. In most cases you will find better deals anyway and you will always be protected by your credit card (more reliable safety net that Tripaneer, remember you can always ask for a chargeback long after the transaction).
Incidentally, I am also finding out from owners’ reviews that Tripaneer keeps 30% (30!!!) commission. What a rip-off for them but what a rip-off for the unfortunate clients too. Tripaneer still makes money when the client uses the €50 pity voucher. There is zero ethos on this.
The biggest issue is Tripanner's purpose: They vet no properties, they don’t ensure standards, they don’t protect their clients, and they exercise no leverage over dishonest resorts or organisers — even when it’s clear they could intervene and resolve matters fairly. So what exactly is their purpose as a company besides getting a third of the price?
they are simply an aggregator taking a commission. In that case, they should say so clearly on their website so customers know they are booking entirely at their own risk. And oh, that they do!

I’m a host on Tripaneer, and if you're thinking about working with them or booking a retreat through their platform — avoid it.
They take a massive 30% commission, and over the years their service has gone downhill. Recently, we had a guest book through BookRetreats, and we already paid the commission there. But Tripaneer still demanded their own commission, claiming the booking was theirs. We explained the situation and provided proof, but they didn’t even bother reading the message — instead, they just issued a new invoice. So now we’re expected to pay 60% commission on one booking. Sounds like a joke, but sadly, this is how they operate.
Even after contacting their support and explaining again, their supervisor still didn’t understand what was going on. At that point, we decided to cut ties. This Dutch company clearly cares only about collecting commission, not supporting hosts or guests.
Worse still — if a guest cancels after paying the deposit, Tripaneer keeps the 30% and the host receives nothing. That’s not just unfair, it’s borderline illegal.
Their customer service is non-existent. It takes them days to respond or approve simple requests like blocking dates. They force you to communicate with guests their way, adding unnecessary stress and confusion. The whole system is a mess and gives hosts constant headaches.
If you care about fairness, transparency, or basic professionalism — stay far away from Tripaneer.
