After travelling with Tracks on previous occasions I contacted Sue with a request for a late availability trip. She responded immediately and suggested an itinerary, visiting camps in the Okavango delta and the Kalahari desert in Botswana. She knows the charter transfer routes and the camps extremely well as she spends time in them herself. The booking process was very easy and Sue is very responsive even for a last-minute trip.

Tracks Safaris arranged our great safari trip to Malawi for us this year. Having met Tracks' Jon & Sue at the London Destination Show we were happy for them to put together an itinerary for us & Sue didn't disappoint. She arranged 3 lovely different lodges with an internal flight and all transfers included and was always happy to help with any queries and suggestions. We would definitely use them again.

We have already sent a review but we would lie to say that you trust Tracksafaris and Sue especially completely. We have travelled with them several times now and we have always been extremely happy with our trips. Do try travelling to the Foxes camps in Tanzania that Sue has sent us to as they are brilliant, both the location and staff at all the 4 camps we have been to have really been first rate.

We have been blessed to experience 4 safari holidays – the most recent to Kenya organised by Sue at Tracks Safaris. Coincidentally, we bumped into Sue whilst on safari in Tanzania. Sue’s considerable knowledge, myriad first hand safari experiences and obvious enthusiasm were all great standouts for us. We happily made contact in 2025 to help plan our 2026 safari escape.
Sue took careful note of our preferences, consequently making the art of safari planning look easy, which it certainly isn’t. In fact, Sue’s plan looked so good we added another three days to our trip.
Our final Kenyan Safari plan included a full day in Nairobi, three-night stays in four different camps; Tawi Lodge to visit Amboseli National Park and then three conservancy camps Kicheche Laikipia in the north followed by the neighbouring Kicheche Bush Olare and Kicheche Mara to the south, in the Masai Mara. Each Conservancy is a well organised coalition of landowners, collectively committed to conservation, deriving a community income from limited tourism. The small Kicheche camps make no secret that 25% of their revenues go to supporting their respective conservancy communities so providing a powerful conservation incentive. Consequently, the wildlife is abundant and varied.
We had barely left the airstrip in Amboseli before making our first big cat sighting – a female cheetah sitting on mound looking for lunch! As we pulled up alongside a small gathering of safari vehicles the cheetah left her observation post and walked straight past us. Our three days at Tawi Lodge passed very quickly, set by a water hole there was always something going on. The staff were friendly and welcoming; the food plentiful and of a high standard and the accommodation was superb.
Kicheche Laikipia is a must visit area for rhino enthusiasts. We enjoyed three Black Rhinos sightings plus a moving visit to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the last two surviving Northern White Rhinos.
Our three days passed too quickly, the service and wildlife spots were both truly outstanding. We were blessed to be in the company of Albert, one of the most experienced guides we have encountered on our travels. A special mention too for Aliya who was kindly attentive to our welfare when one of us felt a bit rough.
The day after our wedding anniversary, we transferred to Kicheche Bush Olare camp – sadly the flight plan went awry, and we arrived later than planned in a weary state. Without any prompting from us Eva, the camp manager, produced tea and sandwiches (we’d missed lunch) and arranged for a special anniversary dinner to be served in our tent accompanied by a bottle of bubbles. We cannot put into words how impressed and delighted we were to receive such kind and visionary care. All the Kicheche staff we met were entirely focussed on our welfare – simply brilliant!
We routinely visited a spot where a hippo had seemingly died from natural causes attracting a pride of lions – their overly full bellies almost contacting the ground! We saw the full spectrum of cleaner uppers in action – a pair of cheeky jackals taking turns to sneak in for a quick bite – as the recumbent male lion on sentry duty lazily chased one off the other moved in. Once the lions had done, a large clan of squabbling hyena’s moved in, encircled by an outer ring of argumentative vultures awaiting their turn.
Our final three days were spent in the larger Kicheche Mara camp; still just 9 standard tents and a family suite ensures intimacy and a good measure of exclusivity. Situated along the banks of a small river means the wildlife is drawn to the unenclosed camp, particularly so in the dry season. We spent time with two prides of lions, both apparently well fed and including a good number of playful cubs. The iPhone 17 captured a beautiful image of two young cubs lying side-by-side, one with a front leg apparently protectively draped over the shoulders of its sibling.
Another very memorable sighting was a two-year old male leopard still growing into his paws! This wonderful animal obligingly climbed a tree and then, returning to the ground level, walked straight past us. The previous day several lionesses walked directly past our vehicle, one stopping to make eye contact with me. My heart skipped a beat!
We headed home in mid-June 2026. One of the questions we ask ourselves is would we revisit a country and any of the camps that hosted us? Usually, the answer is an all-round NO as there are other safari destinations to visit. However, in this instance YES, we would go back to Kenya and YES, we would happily revisit any of the Kicheche Conservancy camps we stayed at. The staff, guides, food and accommodation were truly memorable for their above and beyond excellences.

Our trip to Southern Tanzania organised by Sue of Tracksafaris was once again brilliant. After a 2 year gap we had to return to this lovely country and visit 3 of the Foxes camps, Vuma Hills, Ruaha and Katavi, all in very different terrains but the warm welcome is the same everywhere and very sincere. This time we added on a visit to the chimpanzees at Mahale which is an isolated paradise on the shoreline of Lake Tanzanyka. We met some lovely fellow travellers and the trip couldn’t have gone better so a big thank you to Sue of Tracksafaris.

An Octogenarian's journey of a lifetime.
Having recently been widowed, and thinking about solo travelling for the first time, I visited the Destinations exhibition in February 2025 and came across Sue's stand, Track Safaris. What really caught my interest was that there was no 'hard sell'. They just wanted to know about me, my interests and what sort of travelling I preferred (as a new solo, that was largely unknown). No decisions or even proposals were made that day. But Sue kept in touch and ideas began to form. Finally, in June 2026, I embarked on a 9-day safari in 3 different Maasai camps in Kenya's Maasai Mara. Highlights included wonderful people, big cats, elephant families and many more creatures, often within 6 feet of our vehicle, breakfast in the bush and G&T as night fell in the Savanah.

As one who treasures memories while always seeking new experiences. I am already having conversations with Sue about a very different, but equally exciting, travel plan for next year.

Having had two previous holidays I'd booked cancelled on me, I contacted Tracks Safaris from an advert in a magazine via email, not hopeful of any reply. I was greatly surprised to receive a phone call within an hour especially as it was a Sunday. Sue told me she would be able to sort out a holiday for me and be back in touch within the next two or three days. True to her promise, she came up some options to consider. And kept in constant personal touch throughout the process, holiday, flights, etc. Also as a solo traveller, I couldn't have had a better service and I highly recommend them to anyone who is reading this review.

Sue from Track Safaris was extremely helpful, patient and understood our needs. She made suggestions, changed things we asked her to change. Nothing was too much trouble. Prior to departure we had a full itinerary, map with routes and things to do at each stop. Upon arrival all of the above was given to us as a hard copy. The optional routes to the next stop was highlighted on the map if it was available. The car hire arranged by her was brilliant. The vehicle was delivered to our first guest house so we didn’t have to queue at the airport. I can highly recommend this company and would certainly use them in the future.

Sue organised a fabulous trip for us to Botswana 7 years ago and for this big 80 celebration we knew that with her level of attention TracksSafaris would do us proud. The trip to Zimbabwe was amazing. The people are so lovely, always with big smiles, and they cared for us so well. The accommodation and food was excellent. Davisons more of an explorer vibe, everyone mixing in for meals, Ruckomechi more luxurious at every level, location on the Zambezi, tent, food. We loved both places. The guides were exceptional with encyclopaedic knowledge of flora, fauna, birds. We saw lots of lions, followed a leopard hunting at night, had lovely experiences with elephants who just wanted our fruit! And a stunning afternoon fishing on the Zambezi among the hippos - the fish feed on them. It was wonderful. We were so sad to leave and we so miss the background sound of the hippos grunting by day and night. We can’t wait to plan a next trip.

5* Customer experience, you’re anything but a number. Sue made our holiday exactly as we wanted and made sure everything was all set and understood before we left, and checked in after we returned. Sue is absolutely incredible! All the stress of research and booking a holiday etc is taken away and she sorts everything for you. We had a seamless holiday in South Africa and she went out of her way to make sure our trip was tailored to us. She was always on hand for us to ask questions and she put so much time into helping us have the best time. We will definitely be coming back!!!

I have used Tracssafaris several times before. I think this is why I trusted them with their suggestion of a more remote location than I had done before. Zakouma National Park was well worth a visit.
There is little choice of where to stay, but this was explained in advance. Accommodation was basic. A great guide and driver. Very Hot - was told this before I travelled. A massive difference in thinking, you know, compared to experiencing. A great mix of animals and birds. Very few other vehicles, so everything seen was very accessible. Travel-wise, all was good apart from Loganair, which cancelled a flight at short notice. Felt like a nightmare at the time. I ended up having to drive to Manchester in the end and not fly from Scotland. Not Tracks' fault, but very much a hassle. Definitely recommend Trackssafaris to others.

Tracks Safaris organised our recent safari trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana, which proved to be very interesting and enjoyable. Based on their experience and local knowledge they were able to offer advice on places to stay and travel arrangements to ensure we had a vacation tailored to our needs and interests. All the elements of the holiday were well organised and co-ordinated and queries were answered promptly.

We had used Track Safaris in the past and experienced a good service, so when the time to plan our holiday to Namibia the first company we thought of qas Tracks. We were not disappointed. Communication was clear, responses to questions answered quickly. Friendly and professional.

Sue and the team made our honeymoon so so special, we literally cannot thank them enough, its was the perfect balance of safari, the giraffe manor and then the beach! Kenya is such a special place, the wildlife and views were incredible. Also everything was organised to perfection, we never had to lift a finger or worry about anything. Even internal flights, we didn't even have to check plane times, everyone just did it for us, it was the most relaxing time. Thanks so much Sue!!

Fabulous trip to Tanzania. Sue really listened to our requirements and our holiday had a great balance of activities, including safaris, hiking and snorkelling. All of the accommodation was great - very comfortable and appropriate for the locations.

Sue organised two wonderful safaris for our family of four over New Year. We spent two nights at Rufiji River Camp in Nyerere National Park and two nights at Lake Manze, both of which were absolutely fabulous and beautifully situated right by the river. The views were stunning.
We were warmly greeted by our hosts Millie and Shaun at Rufiji, and Malcolm at Lake Manze. Both camps created a superb family atmosphere with their teams, who were all incredibly hospitable. Our rooms were large and spotlessly cleaned each day, and the food was absolutely delicious throughout our stay.
The safaris themselves were amazing — we saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including wild dogs. Most of the time it felt like we were the only people in the park, as we were lucky not to be surrounded by other safari vehicles. The river safaris were also fantastic; it was brilliant to be so close to hippos and other wildlife.
Our trip was unforgettable and exhilarating — we loved every minute.
