A thoroughly fascinating insightful tour of the history of London's east end told through the story of Jack the Ripper. It was not just about the creepy gore of the murders (of which of course there was plenty) but also an interesting recount of the waves of immigration to that area over the generations and the different cultures and religions that were brought with them. John, our tour guide, was exceptional in his delivery of the story and the history, all the while keeping us rapt with interest and excitement.

Excellent and enjoyable Jack the Ripper Tour, delivered with lively repertoire of John from Tour De Force. A great evening for friends/family. rounded off with visits to a local pub and restaurant.

Superb, exciting, thrilling true story of Jack the Ripper unfolds as John walks you through the same paths where those poor girls met their fate. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. John's knowledge on the subject is uncomparable and that coupled with his extensive skill of transporting you back in time to how the East End and City of London truly were is phenomenal. I can't wait to do another tour with John soon.

John from Tour de Force is a professional actor and employs these skills to impart his considerable knowledge on the 'Whitechapel Murders' with great skill, dynamism and humour... our group were transfixed and enthralled throughout the whole tour. I will definitely be attending another one of John's tours in the future - he is truly a 'cut above' the norm!

An excellent, informative and genuine tour of Jack the Ripper's tyrannical 10 week reign in East London. The tour guide really knew his stuff and delivered the tour in a very expressive manner making us all feel like we were witnessing the events firsthand. I learnt so much about the real events and theories behind them which made me feel like I was a detective. Thank you John!

An excellent and educational evening spent with John, a knowledge and entertaining tour guide with an in depth knowledge of the story of the Jack the Ripper and of the history of Whitechapel. Highly recommend it! I've lived in London for 30 years and never fully explored or understood the rich history of this part of London. And I can guarantee it will leave you thinking about who on earth could Jack the Ripper have been.

I went on the Jack The Ripper guided walking tour, led by John from Tour de Force. What a pro! Great guide - his knowledge, enthusiasm for the subject and his history of the case and area of London is amazing. I discovered so much about the history of Londinian and the lives of the poor & homeless living in the area; as well as the fascinating case of Jack The Ripper.
We visited an historic pub and finished with an amazing authentic Fish & Chip Supper - what's not to like!

If you want an educationally entertaining evening in the East End of London following the steps of the infamous 'Jack The Ripper' then look no further than to Mr John Steel. He delivered our tour so well and with such detail, you couldn't help be transported back into the gaslit, freezing cobbled streets of Whitechapel whilst looking over your shoulder to ensure there was no trace of anyone still lurking!! Well done and thanks to John and highly recommend. The briefing at the end to assess the story so we can draw our own conclusions to the mystery was a fitting end and got us thinking!! x
