This company is fraudulent. Had same experience as other reviewers whn asking for a refund. Note that everything they advertise is in a sale ending at midnight but, if you look at the small print, no refunds are given for Sale items so the money back guarantee is worthless. I argued that the goods were not as advertised - poor quality and when they still gave the same story about mailing costs and customs, I raised a dispute with our card company. I pointed out to the card company that under the UK distance selling rules there was no valid contract, as the vendor had not disclosed its address at the time of purchase, and so, by law, a refund was due. Torquay Boutique immediately gave way and provided a full refund in a couple of days. Lesson for all - if you feel you've been conned, create a full audit file of screen shots and emails and the raise a dispute with your card company who will reverse the transaction until the case is settled.

Do not buy from torquay-boutique.co.uk. the goods are nothing as described, the fabrics are mainly cheap see through polyester. The website states delivery via royal mail - what the website doesn't state is that the goods are coming from China and will be delivered by royal mail when it arrives in the UK. My delivery took 11 days to arrive in the UK and 3 further days to be delivered by royal mail. The website implies the company is based in Torquay Cornwall and goods will be dispatched from there. I believe Torquay boutique is a 'ghost shop' and is misleading customers.

This company is a complete scam. Misrepresented poor quality clothes from China imported. No refunds unless you post back to China and pay for inflated postage costs which are not worth it. This company needs investigation and should not be trading under the coastal umbrella of Torquay boutique whatsoever. AVOID !

This seller is a front for a Chinese provider. It looks like it’s based in the Uk. Its website misrepresents its products, its delivery method and uses pressure selling tactics that are illegal in the UK. I ordered a blouse described as “cotton” in the name and in the description. It wasn’t cotton. When it arrived the item was clearly labelled 95% polyester, 5% spandex and was not good quality. It took a long time for delivery (13 days) having been despatched the day after my order. The website claims that their goods are delivered by Royal Mail. Unless Royal Mail have set up an outpost in Ningbo, China, that that is also dishonest and contributes to the impression that the company is UK based. The item was delivered by courier, not Royal Mail and the return address is China. I also, foolishly, fell for the pressure selling tactics whereby the reduction on an original, highly inflated price was said to be ending that day. Obviously the same ‘reduction’ and ‘ends today’ deadline was still in place 2 weeks later. Inevitability, the cost of returning items is presented as being prohibitively expensive and alternative options are offered. In the end I just wanted to got it over and done with. I eventually accepted a 55% refund, though it still doesn’t represent the real value of the items I got. I confirm that, at least, that money has been credited back to my card.

Total misrepresentation by this company gives the impression it is based in Torquay it isnt. It’s based in China . The two allegedly linen tops are received are paper thin and the size is small not large. They are poor quality and paper thin. Extremely disappointing.

Company a complete scam. They sell temu items for 3 times the price!!! Go elsewhere. Avoid. They are from China!! Wouldn't even give a one star. They make out theyre from the UK and the material is of good quality but all infact polyester temu crap! You will never get your money back. My mum spent £50 for a £15 temu dress that I wouldnt even pay £5 for.

I probably like others..thought this company were in Torquay in this country.Items took ages to arrive,which is why I chose med and large in two different colour jumpers and a blouse.When...eventually arrived...everything had a horrible musty,BO kinda smell.Also 3 more items of same jumper>>>Did not want to keep any.like another reviewer,kept trying to put me off returning and saying I coild keep item that was too small.if I went to a store,100% voucher for my returns....After numerous e-mails...should have twigged as their replies were all 0300 hrs..they gave me an address in...yep...China.Massive return P/P charges...so avoid,avoid..this company.

Little more than a scam. 30 day return guarantee worthless. Cheap and nasty fabric. Sizing out. Attempted to return item. They make numerous attempts to get me to exchange. When I decline they tell me it will cost me between $60 and over $100 USD in postage and custom charges to return from UK. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

So I feel this company are advertising under false pretences and wonder if they are based in this country at all?

They advertise that their clothes are ‘inspired by the riviera’ and have photos on their website of what looks like Torquay in their advertising.

Having ordered items on the 26th and 27th April I tried tracking where my orders are and was very disappointed to see that they were being dispatched from China!

I have emailed them about this and to give them their due they answered straight away saying the following that the products come from ‘international processing facilities, and depending on product availability and stock location at the time of order, some items may be dispatched from different fulfilment centres’. Not actually answering where the clothes are made or sent from or where indeed they are based.

I will update my review when I actually receive my items but this seriously worries me as to what quality they will be and very disappointed that unknown to me the clothes aren’t coming from this country!
