We were a group of 4 for our tour to Stirling Castle et al. The van provided was roomy and comfortable. Brian was our driver for the day and he was superb. It started a bit rocky with him being delayed because of a wreck on the highway, but he (and the company) made up for not in several ways. We got to do everything we wanted to on the day. Brain stayed later than was scheduled so we could enjoy our tour. We got to see the Wallace Memorial, Bannockburn, the Old Bridge and Stirling Castle. We could not have asked for a better guide and tour. Thanks Paul and Brian for providing us a wonderful experience.

We were on holiday on Islay for the scotch festival. Paul was very knowledgeable about Islay and Scotland and made our trip fun and memorable! I would recommend Top Scottish Tours to everyone!

We found Top Scottish Tours through Scotland’s tourism website. We sent an inquiry through the website. We received a nice e-mail response from Paul. After trading a couple of e-mails, we took his recommendation of speaking with him over the phone through WhatsApp. The phone conversation went very well and was much more efficient. Paul asked questions about our expectations and offered suggestions. He then prepared and sent us an itinerary. We reviewed the itinerary and had another telephone conversation about some questions we had. Paul made a couple of changes and sent us an updated itinerary which looked really good.

This was our second of two tours in Scotland. Our first was a horseback ride tour over several days. At the end of the horseback tour, Paul picked us up from the stables. We were impressed and grateful. We really did not want to rent a car and then drive.

We were interested in learning about Scotland’s history but not as if we were preparing for a test. Paul deftly drove us to our various destinations while dispensing information about Scotland’s history. We discovered that he has a wonderful sense of humor. We traded quips, observations, and stories.

We liked the hotels that Paul chose for us. He always interacted with hotel staff to make sure our room was ready before we entered with our luggage. We appreciated his restaurant recommendations.

A couple of minor adjustments had to be made to the itinerary during our tour. Because we had been on a horseback ride for several days, we really needed our clothes washed. Paul found a laundry that would wash, dry, and fold our clothes without interrupting the day’s planned activities.

While trading stories and laughs, we discussed fly fishing. Paul somehow located a fantastic fishing and sporting goods store. We spent some time happily browsing the small and delightfully stocked store and were very pleased with our purchases.

We were shown many wonderful sights. Paul also booked for us tours of castles, distilleries, and a depiction of life in Scotland over many centuries.

We were most pleased with Top Scottish Tours. Paul is not only a consummate professional - we felt we were touring Scotland with a friend.

An amazing experience! Paul went above and beyond in organising our trip, ensuring every detail was perfect for our whiskey tasting in Islay. From start to finish, he took care of us, ensuring everything ran smoothly and on time. His knowledge and pleasant demeanor made working with him a delight. Our day in Scotland with Paul was the highlight of our cruise vacation. He was punctual and knowledgeable from the moment he picked us up. Despite quite rainy weather, Paul made sure we had a great touring day to Loch Lomand, surrounding areas, and Glasgow. Within just a few hours my husband and I felt like we and Paul were old friends. I can’t recommend Paul and his company more highly. We look forward to our next tour adventure with Paul in the future !

What a fantasic day we had, Paul was a great host and very knowledgeable. He picked myself and my wife up from cruise ship was punctual and friendly. We enjoyed a wonderful day seeing Loch Lomond and Glasgow Would highly recommend his services

I had the absolute joy of taking a tour with Paul and it remains the highlight of any travel experience. Because the tours are kept small, it felt like an epic road trip with friends more than anything. We got a taste of so much of the Highlands, learned a lot about the culture and history of the region thanks to Paul's expertise, and had a custom experience that absolutely cannot be rivalled. I'm already planning my next trip with Paul. Cannot recommend this company enough!

Elderly solo traveller and my first time booking a vacation like this with just the tour guide for company, conversation and information.
Fast forward 5 days and I now would not have it any other way!
Paul was an enthusiastic driver and we hit it off from the get go.
Our trip was out of season but this was what I wanted, no crowds or queueing for anything I wanted to see.
Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and the stunning mountains of Glencoe were probably my highlights but there were so many.
Haggis took some getting used to but washing it down with a dram worked a treat.

We treated ourselves to a short tour of Scotland for my husbands special birthday while we were visiting friends in London. We've always wanted to visit as I have been looking into my family tree and my great great great grandmother lived on the west coast! We're so glad we booked with Top Scottish who were recommended by friends. Paul was a truly wonderful guide, and made our trip really special. He was very knowlegable about Scottish history (great for me) and Scottish Whisky (great for my husband - and I hope I've spelt whisky correctly!). It was lovely to have someone so enthusiastic about their homeland show us around - Paul certainly has the "patter"! We're hoping to come back next year, God willing, and have already asked him for his advice on what to see next time round so we can book again.
