Firstly I have to give 1 star as it will not allow Zero. Scott the Engineer was friendly and turned up on time. After a few checks on the door he went away and said I would be getting a call from the office. I was quickly contacted and told I needed a "garage door motor limit reset" and that would be £144. I agreed (as it sounded a complicated procedure) and Scott went to work, which in effect was press the buttons about 5 times, pair the remotes which he did next to the motor and that was it. Job done (I thought). So all within 20 mins and £139 later (as I got a £5 discount for Bank Transfer) he was gone. About 20 minutes later I went to open the closed garage door and nothing happened, even standing immediately outside of the garage door. Neither remote would work and both had brand new batteries in. I could not get in so I rang back and spoke to a gentleman and he said he would contact Scott and ask him to come back and I would be advised of an approx time. Nearly 5 hours later no contact so I rang to get a receipt for the work and also ask when someone was calling. After a long wait to get answered I was told nothing had been booked in for a recall and it would be a next day visit. After this poor service I contacted another local company who came along and sorted out the problem for less than half of what they had charged. When I got the call to say when one of your engineers could come, I advised the lady to cancel and I would like to discuss a refund as I was over charged for an incorrect diagnosis of the problem and had Scott tested the remotes from outside the garage he would have realised it wasn't fixed. I was told she would feedback my comments and someone would be in touch. One week later I heard nothing. On 12 June, I emailed and asked for an update on my complaint, stating I was happy to pay their diagnostic fee. This was acknowledged the next day but alas no reply. So, after another email request on 19 July 2026, still no response. They are clearly over charging for their poor service and have no regard for their customers.

Perfect same day service - Engineer Dan arrived and did a splendid job sorting out my "up and over" garage door.

DO NOT use this company for garage door repairs. They are useless. Repaired my door which failed again on opening just ONCE. And refused to complete the remedial work unless i paid more money to them. I am now chasing them for a refund. Terrible

If you don't mind paying £262 for a remote control that is available on-line for £20 and takes 10 secs to pair....then give them a call! They'll welcome you with open arms. Outrageous prices.

The engineer turned up promptly but the company only seemed interested in selling me a new motor at £750 plus vat rather than try to fix the existing Horman motor so I was disappointed in their approach

Excellent service. Problem resolved within 30 minutes of arriving. I am very happy with result as my garage door now operates correctly and is secure.

I contacted Toms Garage Doors and agreed a visit. They failed to show up but sent me a text message telling me not to worry - they would see me the following day. Not quite the point was it? Hopeless

The guy ( Vince ) that turned up was very professional and extremely friendly which put me at ease immediately. He let me know all of the key details about my garage door that I needed to know and at the same time didn’t try to fleece me. Great service, great advice.
I will not hesitate to recommend your company to any of my friends or family if needed.

My garage door jammed open about 8pm. After trying to fix it for an hour I phoned Tom's garage doors. They answered straight away and said someone could be there in the morning. I was told I would get a call an hour before coming, which i did. The guy new straight away what the problem was. Told me how m8ch it would be to fix and asked if I wanted to go ahead with the job. I instantly said yes and it was fixed within the hour. Everything was explained thoroughly. The service was excellent

Excellent from start to finish very helpful staff engineer miles was good explained everything in detail and very friendly would highly recommend this company came out with in a couple of hours when my garage door failed

The engineer was very friendly. He explained fully what the problem was with my garage door and what he would do to resolve the issue. He then resolved the issue very efficiently and gave me some advice about the general maintenance of the doors.

An excellent service. An engineer was with me within 2 hours of my phone enquiry. I was given a clear account of the work that needed to be done and the cost. On completion he explained everything that had been done and gave me tips on maintaining the garage door. All work is guaranteed for 12 months. Highly recommended.
