Recruitment and working with Tolk
As a freelance interpreter with more than 2 years of experience I was offered 0.20p/minute which is under the minimum wage = illegal. Big red flag from yhe beginning.
I refused straight away and was told the best they could do was X, which was fine as it was reflecting my knowledge and experience. I have provided all the documents and was ready to sign the ageement. Well, the agreement was a general one, one size fits all, not stating pay rates and other very important clauses. I have informed them that I should have a personalised agreement. I was then reasurred that the payment we discussed was noted internally and will be respected, but without it being written in any form of document or agreement. I have then AGAIN said that unless they provide what we discuss in written, I will not progress further. The response? None, ghosted. Avoid this company.
